It's been a while since I been back and i think the portion is slightly smaller than before. We got the seared salmon bowl with added hamachi poke for an extra $3. The bowl was good, the seared salmon was a little inconsistent, some were a little dry. There was also some salmon poke underneath as well. It didn't seem as busy as before either, so I'm not sure if the quality has gone down. It is located in crossroad malls so it's pretty chill and quiet. Got a seared salmon box because of other Yelp reviews - 10 pieces for $22 is not cheap, but also not bad. Checking other sushi places nearby it seems like ~$3 per nigiri is about normal. The sear really adds a nice smoky flavor, and the fish to rice ratio is very nice - each piece of fish is quite thick, and they are very fatty pieces of salmon. Thought this was pretty good! They have an iPad where you order, but the online ordering doesn't make it clear which rolls contain which allergens. I did end up getting the attention of someone behind the counter to ask about gluten in a few of the rolls, but you can tell they prefer people to just use the iPad. She was able to do the seared salmon roll for me without the soy sauce on it, and then I had to pay to get gf soy sauce on the side. Wish it was an equal sub since I know they cost equal to the business. The roll was pretty good. Did not look like the picture. I think they were supposed to sear it and then add toppings, but they seared the toppings too which made it kind of odd. Tried to eat at the food court but ended up taking it to go. The menu is large, with different bowls, nigiri, sushi combinations, etc. You order on the touchscreen and the food is made when ordered, which doesn't take long. But it is a popular spot as Mix Sushi Bar does get a lot of takeout orders. The spicy seared salmon nigiri is my favorite item. You don't even need to dip it in soy sauce and wasabi because it's already so flavorful. But if you're craving something else raw, Mix Sushi Bar has it. They also have a seared nigiri combo, with salmon, tuna and eel. Came here to try the seared salmon nigiri. It's came out to ~23$ for 10 pieces. I got half spicy and half regular and I'm surprised to say I prefer the regular. I'm usually a fan of something with a little spice but it kind of took away from the flavor of the fish. The rice to fish ratio is good as well. The rolls aren't massive but definitely not small.
