SUSHI ME @ BELLEVUE Parking is available in their lot, and there were plenty of spaces when we arrived. It's shared with other restaurants and businesses in a small plaza, which makes it pretty convenient. I had been craving sushi, and my family and I specifically wanted conveyor belt-style sushi. The usual spot we go to in another part of Bellevue had over a two-hour wait, so we decided to try something new and found Sushi Me. It was only about a 15-minute drive, and when we got there, we were seated immediately in a booth, which was a great start. However, the experience didn't fully live up to expectations. One of the challenges with conveyor belt sushi is that your selection really depends on where you're seated. We were closer to the end, so by the time plates reached us, a lot of the better options were already taken. Because of that, we didn't get much variety, and many of the plates we saw were either repeats or already picked over. We ended up trying a few items, including salmon nigiri, seared salmon, and calamari. The salmon was decent, but the calamari was disappointing it came out cold and was about $6 for just four pieces. Another thing I didn't love was that many of the plates, including the calamari, were uncovered. It didn't feel the most sanitary since the food is just circulating out in the open. Overall, the quality of the sushi was just okay. Some items felt cold or like they had been sitting out for a while, and we kept seeing the same rolls like crunchy rolls and crab-based dishes over and over again instead of a wide variety. They did have some fun extras like donuts, desserts, and edamame, which was nice to see. In the end, the experience was decent, but not something I'd go out of my way for again. I was hoping to try a wider variety of fresh sushi, and this just didn't quite deliver on that. read more

Fun experience visiting Sushi Me. I dont remember the last time I visited a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. Sitting down and taking a look at the items on the belt, some immediately popped up to me. The garlic seared salmon was one, the toro, the spicy tuna, the rainbow, dragon (eel), are some of the ones I remembered. Some were better than others. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of some of the fish. The service is great, as you sit there you might not see an item you want, they are happy to make it for you. The different are served on different color plates, each color signifies a different cost. The cost can be anywhere from $3-$10. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was very busy when we visited. Stopped in here for a Sunday afternoon "linner" with my husband and two kids, really not sure what to expect. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was a little stressed out a first impression because I wasn't sure what was going on and we were waiting for a forth chair, but I very quickly warmed up....almost as fast as my six year old who immediately started grabbing food off of the rotation conveyer belt.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Trying to tell exactly what type of sushi you're grabbing can be tricky, but everything we took was delicious. I regret not reviewing the menu first because what I really wanted was noodles, and by the time I realized it was an option, I was full. We came for dinner on a weekday and it was pretty busy, but we were lucky to get seated immediately at one of their booth tables in the back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Otherwise, it is counter seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They charge by the color of the plate, so certain pieces are more expensive than others. I must say that there were a ton of good quality pieces, but not sure if all are worth the price tag. For example, the seared salmon (red plate) is pretty comparable to the fatty seared salmon (purple plate). It's really easy to rack up the price here, and we ended up spending around $50 each without even really overdoing it. This is an okay place for sushi. I found it expensive and not as many sushi options on the menu as I would have liked. Quality is also meh... Service was minimal as you're just grabbing things off the conveyer belt. I noticed all the sushi chefs were Hispanic so it doesn't seem very authentic. I have eaten here 17 times in the last 4 mo according to my credit card so you would think at some point the waitstaff would act like they recognize me or that my order is familiar since I order the exact thing every time. So that is odd, especially since I am super friendly. So kudos to Sam who finally proactively brought me an item that I literally ask for every single time. I have also noticed that he is the only person who consistently is hustling and working quickly, yet thoroughly, to help customers and clean up different areas. Most of the servers there seem to be moving rather slowly and many times not available when we need them and not even visible. I'm not sure where they are or what they're doing. Strangely, the most difficult thing to do there is actually pay the bill. If they happen to be in the area, it's extremely hard to get their attention. None of them seem to really ever be looking around at people in general to see if anyone has a need or to see if anyone is looking around for waitstaff. So I would say service is my biggest pet peeve about the place. They are pleasant but have the issues I said. The food is always consistently good whether you like sushi or soup. It is conveyor style but you can also order whatever you want if you prefer to do that. There is at least one chicken dish and maybe two that are teriyaki. They do have avocado rolls and cucumber rolls if you don't like fish. They do have tamari sauce if you are gluten-free and cannot have soy sauce. So as long as you are fine with a service experience I explained above, you will enjoy the food. in terms of sushi for the entire Redmond, Bellevue, Kirkland area, it's some of the best you can get and the price point is just right. My sushi-loving friends would agree When you arrive, if there is a wait, you sign yourself in on the waitlist using their iPad. The waiting area inside is very small and seats about four adults. Sushi is decent quality, service is poor, and the last three times I've visited I have been overcharged. I stopped coming here because of the overcharging, but my daughter wanted to try it and I thought maybe something changed in the year plus absence. Nope. Waitress miscounted the plates in the restaurant's favor, I asked for a recount and she counted out the correct number for each color plate, then handed me the payment kiosk machine and it was $7 higher than it should have been. I warned my daughter about their serial overcharging before we got the bill and we counted the plates and figured the amount owed including tax before asking for the bill. I paid the inflated amount and left no tip and will never come back. Straight up thievery. The people who complained in reviews that this place is overpriced were probably overcharged on purpose. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Located in Bellevue, WA, Sushi Me is a medium size restaurant where the sushi chefs are in the middle of the oval-shaped conveyor belt, constantly making sushi while hungry diners grab what they want as different colored plates rotate around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My daughter and I came for a NYE lunch and the inside was about half full. Comparing it to Kura Sushi, there are similarities and differences: Similarities: -- Sushi that goes around a conveyor -- various different rolls were the majority, most very colorful, and coming in either sets of two to four slices. -- you can order things not on the conveyor like hand rolls and hot noodle soups. I ordered the hot seafood udon soup ($10), which had plenty of seafood...it was excellent, though small (makes sense considering the price) -- The total price adds up quick. Differences: -- the chefs are at the center and visible here, unlike at Kura where they are in the back. -- [[HIGHLIGHT]]All seating is bar-type. There were no booth type seating, which would have allowed more people to dine concurrently[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. - custom sushi with unique names: "Bellevue Roll", "Seahawks Roll", "Seattle Roll". -- special orders must be placed with the server when they can come around. And it did seem short-staffed, so it was infrequent. At Kura, everything is done through a kiosk at every table, and -- delivered by conveyor belt. All custom was delivered to you directly by the chef or server. -- unlike Kura where every plate is the same color, here it is different prices: ranging from $3, all the way to $9 per plate, with the vast majority being $5.50. -- one dish I loved was the deep fried calamari...very reasonable for $5.50, and one option was a dish just of deep fried squid tenacles, which I thought was awesome. -- the hand rolls were not as good (or as big), here, even for a higher price. I tried the kimchi handroll for $5.50, and it was just sushi rice with sour kimchi wrapped in nori. disappointingly overpriced, and not worth getting again. The salmon handroll had a lot of salmon, but so-so quality. I thought the sushi tasted better than what I've had at Kura, and the noodle soup was definitely better. But it's also quite a bit more expensive, and while we both filled up, the total was over $80 for the two of us, including tip. read more

Terrible. This place has had owner change or something. It used to be a great place and we have loved this place for many years while back. We haven't visited this place for YEARS and we decided to go a few months ago. First thing we noticed was all the employees were now Hispanic- no Japanese chefs, servers, nothing. The food was not good quality at all. The fish is very poor quality, cut improperly, and all the rolls were cut too thin. They are cutting the cost. The worst thing was tempura. They were raw! Every. Single. One of them. was uncooked. When I notified the servers about this issue, she never apologized and acted as if nothing happened. Seems like the price has gotten very high. Been coming to sushi me for years. Love it! I purposely bought food here during pandemic to make sure it stayed open. Tonight, I went and was just unimpressed with my initial server, made a don't bother me face at me when I asked for water and then there was no basic nigiri. They asked how it was and I shared I was disappointed and their solution is you should have told us what you wanted. Well that sort of removes the need for a conveyer belt of food if I have to order everything... I would just go to a normal sushi restaurant. Pulled up to Sushi Me on a rainy Friday just after 6PM. Once you enter, you can join the waitlist on a tablet, but there is limited indoor seating for waiting parties. Fortunately, there were only about 4 parties ahead of us and they almost all got seated right as we walked in. The parking lot they share with a bunch of other restaurants was pretty packed, but if there are truly no spots, you can always park across the street at Crossroads. Overall, the quality of the fish here is pretty solid. If you come when they're busy, everything on the line tends to be super fresh - hot food is still hot and the chefs are constantly putting out more sushi. If you want to order less popular items, you do have to flag down an actual waiter to place your order in person and when it's busy, I would expect to wait a bit for your item. If you're overwhelmed by the selection, I'd recommend the Toro and Salmon Belly Nigiri, but you really can't go wrong with most of their items. Pricing wise, I've seen a lot of people rave about how reasonable it is, but I actually this place can be a little steep - my partner and I dropped triple digits on our bill before tax and tip. read more

This has been my "go-to" sushi place on my lunch break. Some people may have hesitation about going to a conveyor belt sushi place but rest assured, the sushi here is top notch. The fish is fresh and there are a variety of options. The lunch shift in particular has been great for in and out service when your time is limited. Service is pretty good to order additional items off the menu and/or for your beverage choice. I also coming here because there is a TV to catch day time games while enjoying your sushi. I've been coming here probably about 12 to 15 years. Never had an issue. Place an online order in the morning for a 4:30 PM pick up. Gave them extra half hour. I show up , no one can find the order. They took my phone in the back and started to prepare the order. I specifically asked for it to be packaged in a platter. That was not done. They just threw all the sushi into small containers and since it was in a rush, the sushi was all over the place , squished and looking like someone just mixed, whatever they could, and stuck it in the containers. Very very disappointed. And everyone was looking at me like I was at fault . Will not look good if it would've been put on the platter. Of course, because they did not make the sushi for me. We went to Sushi Me on a Tuesday evening around 6pm and waited about 25 minutes for a party of 2. I thought the food was pretty good for conveyor belt sushi. Portions are typical and prices are fine. Not the most affordable option for sushi, but with costs rising everywhere, it's to be expected. We spent about $40 per person. As the restaurant was full, the food on the belt was decently fresh which was nice. We ordered some nigiri with the server and my favorites were the salmon belly and seared scallop. You can definitely tell that some of the food on the revolving bar has been there a while. In addition, there was only a small (but repetitive) selection going around. We had wanted to place an order, but it took a while for the server to finally get to us. Although the ordered food came out fast, they had accidentally placed a duplicate order which resulted in the food coming out twice. Freshness on the belt can be hit or miss and regular meal times are probably your best bet for things that haven't been circling for a while. Came here with a friend a few nights ago cause we were looking for a conveyor belt sushi place that wasn't too expensive - unfortunately we made the wrong move here. Located in the Bellevue Crossroads area, there's ample parking, and finding a seat at around 6 PM on a Monday wasn't too difficult! My friend and I grabbed items off of the conveyor belt, but I was definitely surprised to even see that some plates were $8. I grabbed a few of the cheaper items, and thought the food was fine - nothing incredible, but nothing horrible either! I enjoyed the seared salmon and one of their specialty rolls, but I think this alone was already a little over $10. I spent a little over $30 for 5 plates by the end of the meal, which honestly I wouldn't mind for high quality sushi. At the end of the day though, I felt like I could go elsewhere to pay the same amount for higher quality. read more

We liked the sushi rolls but not the ramen. The rolls are 3-4$ each but they are really half rolls, still pretty good price. We tried different kinds crunchy and normal and we liked all of them.
