MIYAKO SUSHI We came here for some shrimp udon and fried tempura ice cream--IT WAS AMAZING. Perfect for if you're feeling under the weather. The inside is so cute and aesthetic, and the workers were EXTREMELY kind. The first thing I noticed was the greetings and the thanking before you go from the whole staff. They also were patient with ordering and helped explain the menu for us since we've never been. Overall 10/10 !

I went in at 8:30 PM. It's great they're open so late and the staff is so friendly. I got the shrimp tempura Ramen and the shrimp was so good 10 out of 10, the whatever role was also so delicious especially the garlic Ponzo sauce. I usually come for their scallop roll, but I'm glad I tried something different this time even though the scallop roll is my favorite!

Amazing customer service, they were all very friendly especially Sky! I brought my fur baby for dinner but unable to eat out in the patio because the propane electric heater wasn't working :( food was good but I accidentally ordered two rolls soaked with ponzu so they basically tasted the same. Lots of parking space, a plus!!! Uni was sooo good!

Fresh sushi, kind service, and relaxed atmosphere. I couldn't ask for much of my new favorite local sushi spot! I hadn't tried this location in my decades of living in San Clemente but it was always bustling. We decided to give it a try and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the fish and flavor of the rolls. Service was top notch and kept the whole dining experience entertaining. Can't wait to go back!

Some of the best sushi I've ever had! We came for lunch today for the first time and were very impressed. The owner was super nice as well as all of the staff. Clean restaurant, amazing food & service. This is our new go to spot for sure.

Miyako is my go to sushi spot in south oc. Very fresh seafood, attentive service, and fun ambience with the new interior decorations. A must try!

We got the Las Vegas roll, popcorn roll and Philadelphia roll we are so much for four people.

This place is amazing! The Las Vegas roll was the best roll I have ever had. Definitely the new family sushi place. And it didn't take very long to get our food and the employees were friendly. It has cool decor as well.

I was hungry and I missed eating here, prices were still affordable and delicious. My meal came out to be less than $25 and yes, that is with tip. I ordered an appetizer of Shrimp and Vegetable tempura, coke and a shrimp & veggies tempura udon. Perfect combo on a gloomy day, and honestly, I need to head here more often. I did past by the other day right before 6pm and there were people waiting outside for a table so it's a great spot. I'm telling you guys, its the go to place in SC. There is very limited parking and even though it is not always busy you may want to make a reservation because of how limited the seating is. Food quality is good. The fish is very fresh, the salads are well dressed, and they do have gluten-free soy sauce when asked for. We had a Baja Crudo, we had bluefin Nigiri, shotgun roll, house, salad, edamame, a side of rice. The rolls could have been wrapped a little tighter, in our role, we did have a little bit of the fish that couldn't be eaten due to it being not as well cleaned and chopped as the rest, and the edamame serving was a bit small. Service is very friendly. Expect a slower pace as the restaurant is very calm and casual. It is in an older building and the ambience is amazing during the day when you can see the ocean but very rootsy, and a little rundown at night. Overall, we had a nice dinner at a very reasonable price and will probably try it out again.

However, the salted cream version was a total miss for us. It was overwhelmingly salty to the point that neither of us could drink much of it. We also ran into some confusion with our order. We pointed to what we thought was the Shaking Beef on the menu, but we were served Bo Kho instead, which is a beef stew. Our waitress seemed fairly new, and since the photos of the two dishes looked somewhat similar, I can understand how the mix-up happened. That said, we probably should have clarified before accepting the dish, so that's partly on us as well. The Bo Kho itself was okay, but it didn't really stand out. The potato wedges were so sparse, I think my friend and I only got about four- or five-pieces total. On top of that, the small baguette served with the stew felt out of proportion to the amount of broth. There wasn't enough bread to enjoy the dish properly, which left the meal feeling incomplete. We loved the Lechon Banh Mi, and that was the redeeming part of our order. Unfortunately, when it came to the other food and drinks we tried, they just didn't quite hit the mark for us. While we're glad we gave LUA a try, it's probably not a place we'll revisit for those particular menu items.
