On the negative side, one of the main reasons I came today was due to the Tuesday special ad items. They unfortunately didn't have one of the items I specifically came for, and after one of the floor clerks checked in the back for me, he said because they "share" these items with Times Market, they often don't receive any; which I think is terrible. It's not the first time, this has occurred, and it's very annoying, and I hope they remedy the situation for more fair and equitable allocation, so it doesn't feel like a "bait and switch" type of situation (I know it's not, but still, very frustrating). I also don't like katsu sauce (don't judge), so I ate it w/the gyoza dipping sauce I made & I was happy! I would like to try their curry & ramen on future trips. And I just saw, they have mapo tofu curry! That sounds interesting! One of my friend's roommate always gets the pineapple chicken katsu fried rice. I need to try that, too! See... many future trips! The selection of food is on colored coated plates: $3.89 for green, $4.89 for yellow, $5.89 for red, $6.89 for blue and $10.89 for black. Most of the meat and seafood plates are $6.89. Most of the noodles and veggies plates are $4.89. I wasn't sure if I was going to like the broth. Holy smokes, I eat a lot of hot pot and it was one of the best I've ever tasted. I couldn't stop drinking it. My hubby told me to stop or we weren't going to have any broth to cook the food in. Luckily, the staff told us if we needed more broth that it was refillable.
