    Beef pho
    Sherry C.

I ordered the beef pho. The pho had a generous amount of green and white onions and parsley (I love that!!) They gave a decent amount of rare steak and briskets in the pho. I wasn't expecting much but was surprised that it was very tasteful!!!! Cashier was very nice and sweet!!! The ship was small but clean!!!

Stopped in for a quick meal / so glad we did- the Banh mi sandwich was very good - the large slices of jalapeño could have been cut thinner but the beef was well flavored! The restaurant is small with limited seating, small staff so service can be a bit slow but our Banh Mi was good and I'd like to return to try other menu items. Due to the small staff we notice several people walk in, waiting at the counter for service with no one in sight! They all walked out never able to order!

Tried this newly opened restaurant in Kailua. Nice ambiance and clean. Utensils and various sauces available near the cashier. Tried the noodles and Vietnamese manapua and was pleasantly surprised. The Vietnamese coffee was also delicious, but it took 40 minutes to prepare the coffee and they did not have take out cups. Headed to Down to Earth next door to buy a mug. Doubt I would return here. Price point is a bit steep compared to other Vietnamese restaurants. Service was ok, but it required effort, if you know what I mean. I was hoping for more accommodations given this restaurant opened only 2 months ago. I should not have to buy a take out cup for hot coffee.

We stopped in and were immediately welcomed with warm, friendly service and good vibes. The space is small but super clean, modern, and cozy -- you can tell everything is made with love. Now let's talk food... WOW. We had the fresh summer roll (light, crisp, and packed with flavor), the ginger lemonade (so refreshing!), and Thai tea (strong and creamy). The bánh mì special? Easily one of the best I've had -- perfectly toasted bread, juicy meats, and that classic tangy crunch from the pickled veggies. We also tried the pho, which had a deep, comforting broth that hits the soul -- not too heavy, just clean and flavorful. Vegetarian? Don't worry -- the yam bean manapua was delicious and unique! Everything was made fresh to order and came out fast. This is one of those spots you can feel good about eating at -- healthy, delicious, and full of heart. Definitely worth the trip to Kailua. We'll be back soon!

Spotted this gem while walking in Kailua town today, 5-15-25. Ordered the Summer rolls with tofu and the banh mi with vegan meat substitute. Summer rolls were very good, but maybe less Lettuce would make it better. The banh mi was also good with thinly sliced jalapeños and a nice vegan sauce so it wasn't dry. Most of their menu is built around vegan/veg options, which is very good for those who are trying to cut out animal proteins. They do offer chicken, if you want to add it to your sandwiches. Shop decor is verh.modern and clean. The cashier was very friendly and polite.

Decided to try out Vietnam Deli by the Ripple of Smiles. It's next to Down to Earth Organic & Natural. The inside has a few tables, all the food comes out in takeout containers. - Herbs - bean sprouts and lemon wedges came in a ziplock bag - Pho noodle ($4.00 USD) - had to order extra noodles. Crazy - Traditional Vietnamese manapua bao ($7.50 USD) - overpriced. Standard steamed bun - Pho ($18.00 USD) with beef ($1.00 USD) - broth was okay, could smell the star anise. Noodle portion was tiny. We weren't full - Favorite sauteed noodles ($18.75 USD) with chicken ($1.00 USD) - decent flavour to the sauce, tiny portion once again

We were in the neighborhood waiting for my son when this spot caught my eye--and I'm so glad it did! As I walked in to place an order, I was pleasantly surprised to see a familiar face--Frank! He was just as welcoming and professional as I remembered from his previous place of business. Frank is very customer-oriented, and it's clear that he genuinely cares about his customers' opinions and experiences. The restaurant itself is modern, bright, and very clean. Service was quick and efficient. We tried the chicken and pork sandwiches, as well as the spring rolls--everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. The ginger lemonade was especially refreshing and full of flavor. Great food, great service, and a warm atmosphere. We'll definitely be back if we're in the neighborhood.

Came here after paddling and needed Pho to warm me up. It's a nice place with tables inside. Service was fast and friendly. The Pho was really good. Other benefits include lots of free parking in back. I need to come back to try the bahn mi sandwiches.

Stopped here for a quick lunch! The beef was really good and flavorful! The bread was toasted perfectly with the right amount of outer crunch and inner softness. I will say that the $4 spring roll was not what I expected- I assumed it would be multiple but only one was provided. Overall a good meal!

I ordered shrimp summer rolls, ginger lemonade, and spring rolls. The summer rolls were very fresh and tasty. The peanut sauce was delish as well. The ginger lemonade was to perfection. Perfect sweetness, perfect amount of ginger. I was not too fond with the spring rolls (I got lemongrass tofu). Customer service was very good! I wanted to order on Yelp so I could pick up the order but the full menu wasn't available on yelp, so I just called it in. I definitely will be returning!!

Stopped by Vietnam Deli and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was warm and efficient, and our food came out fast without feeling rushed. I ordered the garlic shrimp vermicelli and a ginger lemonade--both were fresh, flavorful, and really hit the spot. It's a small place, but it has a cozy, laid-back vibe that makes you want to stay and enjoy your meal. Solid food and great service. Highly recommend!

Pho, crispy, spring roll, and chicken sandwich
    Teran N.

I've been eyeing this place since the sign went up. I was so disappointed. I order the pho, crispy spring rolls and chicken sandwich. The crispy spring rolls were really good! The pho was basic but you do t get what you pay for. Not enough broth or noodles or toppings. Unfortunately the chicken sandwich had 1 oz of chicken it. I only know this because I had to dig in the sandwich to look for the chicken and once I found it, I was shocked so I waited on my scale. I feel so bad for leaving a small business a bad review but other people just need to know the truth.

Best pho in town! So flavorful and comforting, and the banh mi is amazing. Highly recommend! !

As you know, Mike recently moved into town. Everyone kept talking about him. They said I had to give him a chance. Against my better judgment, I caved. Yesterday... I cheated.
