This was my second time ordering takeout from here, and unfortunately, it was another disappointment. I ordered the hibachi steak (medium), but it arrived well done and didn't taste fresh at all. The fried rice was basically just browned rice--no flavor, no vegetables. According to the menu, the dish is supposed to come with vegetables, but none were included. I noticed an option online to "add more vegetables" for an extra $5, but I didn't choose it because I assumed veggies were already part of the plate, as advertised. For the price, the quality is just not there. Everything felt bland and underwhelming. I'm honestly not sure what keeps people coming back or what they're ordering that makes them enjoy it. For context, I'm not a sushi person--mainly due to the texture combinations. I like the ingredients separately, just not all rolled together. Mizu is right next to the Publix I shop at. I'm there 2-3 times a week some weeks, and I'm shocked I've never stopped in Mizu. My desire for a specialty sushi roll finally sent me inside! I ordered the Angry Dragon. Tempura shrimp, mango, spicy tuna, wrapped with soy paper and topped with krab salad and eel sauce and mango sauce. I love sauces and both were great! When you got a bite with all the flavors I described above, it was a great bite. Where things feel short was if you didn't get that perfect bite. The rice had no seasonings. The tempura shrimp had no seasoning. And the spicy tuna had been pulverized into almost a spread. Not what I was expecting at all and not appealing. I will try a roll again and just stay away from the spicy tuna. I like the use of soy paper over seaweed, so I'm thinking next up, the Winter Roll. read more

You can get good sushi at Mizu. They are quick and it seems pretty good quality. You can eat inside or pick it up to go... they even have a drive through for pick up! I prefer to get it take out! If you eat inside, know that this is not some nice sit down place. It is clean and a spot to eat. They do bring your food out to you, but it isn't a normal service restaurant. I think sushi in general has gotten very expensive since the pandemic but I give it 4 stars because I feel like it's priced just a bit high. read more

I love finding more delivery options and I really like the ToastTab app because they just charge you a straight delivery fee without upcharging all the food and other service charges. I saw Mizu pop up as one of the few places they have on there that offer delivery so I gave it a try. I ordered for two people and we both go entrees, some sushi to share and an appetizer. The total was around $50 and everything showed up on time... early even and the food was great. I loved the chicken udon I got and was so excited about it that I decided to order it again. I was working at home and will rarely order out because it gets pricey, but I had a crazy busy day and decided to treat myself. I went on the ToastTab app again, selected Mizu, and placed my order. This time I got the udon again and a sushi roll. The total was closer to $30 this time around. I got a couple calls from an unknown number so I answered and it was a woman from Mizu. She let me know she couldn't complete my delivery because they don't deliver to my area. I let her know that only a couple weeks before I got delivery and it listed in the app that they deliver to me. She said it wasn't enough and I was confused. She said that they weren't sending someone on a delivery that far away for that size order and she was cancelling it. I let her know that was a pretty shitty way to do business, but she didn't seem to care. She cancelled my items in the app so I didn't pay for the whole order, but I did still get charged a delivery fee... even though I didn't get my food. I don't eat red meat or shrimp, so I ordered a dish with chicken. After the first bite, I noticed that the "chicken" had a weird texture...and didn't taste like chicken at all (even with all the sauce that was used to prepare it). It wasn't chicken breast, and although I tried to convince myself that it was perhaps chicken thighs, I instantly became nauseated after pondering what type of mystery meat this is that they serve. Mizu is right by my grocery store, and everytime I would go shopping, I would always smell how AMAZING their food was. For some reason, I never tried it. Until today I had a craving for a spicy chicken bowl over white rice. After looking at several different menus at different places and not finding what I was looking for, I decided to look at their menu to see what they had to offer. Not only did they have your classic hibachi style meals and sushi, they also had a cheaper section of the menu called "Kitchen Bowls," and they had the EXACT meal I was looking for- The Spicy Chicken Bowl. I placed the order online, and when I arrived, I noticed they had a drive thru window for pick up orders on the side of the building. So I drove through the drive thru, picked up my order, & went home. The bowl had white rice, spicy fried chicken bites, peppers and onions, topped with white sauce and spicy Mayo. I also got a side of fried rice (not pictured), and it tasted JUST like Yokoso fried rice- my favorite I highly recommend Mizu, you will not be disappointed- with the taste OR price! read more

This place is in the same spot the burger place Hwy 55 was at. I was skeptical at first since they just opened but I saw the menu prices and decided to give it a shot. The staff is very inviting and accommodating. I ate during lunch hours and everything I ordered tasted really fresh (sushi and sesame chicken). The portion sizes are very generous and I was able to save half of my order to take home. The presentation of their plates is very beautiful even if they aren't a fancy sushi place. I was happy with the variety of the menu and also the prices. In general, I recommend giving this place a shot. I will say it's better than Yummy Yummy across the street. Both places are great but Mizu's sushi fish tastes a lot fresher and of better quality. Definitely plan on coming back especially as I do some weekly shopping at Publix grocery store. read more

We got the menu in the mail so we thought we would give it a try looking for some good sushi. At the last minute I decided to pick up instead of delivery and I'm glad I did. It's just reminiscent of a cheap Chinese takeout joint. No sushi bar or ambience. My order was ready at the desk and I took it home. The special California rolls were bland and fell apart. The angry dragon roll is 13.50 it was heavy on the rice and light on the seafood filling. Again it was bland. The prices are rather High compared to a lot of nice sushi restaurants so we expected more and actually received last. I asked my daughter if she wanted to save the menu she said no. Our suggestion would be to be a step above a grocery store sushi and try to give the restaurant the atmosphere a good sushi restaurant should have. Everyone is town is talking about Mizu, whether good or bad or neutral reviews, so I needed to try it so I could have my own opinion. I ordered take out so I didn't really get to meet or sit down at the restaurant, but I think trying the food is the top priority after hearing mixed reviews. I ordered beef udon, and 2 rolls of sushi. My wife ordered the cheese rangoons and coconut shrimp. So here is my review of the food. First off, I ate the sushi. I think both rolls, spicy tuna and regular salmon roll cane to about 9 dollars and something. The spicy tuna was 8 pieces and the salmon roll was only 6, much smaller pieces. They were good, tasted fresh, not anything to rave about. The spicy tuna was definitely spicy. To me that's neither good nor bad. Sometimes it's too spicy and you can't even enjoy it and sometimes it's not spicy at all but has the taste of spice and crunch so it's actually delicious. This was spicy, not crazy spicy, and it was ok. The salmon roll was just a normal salmon roll. I was expecting honestly more options for my 2 roll choices. There's not many compared to a typical sushi restaurant unless you go into the extremely expensive specialty rolls, some of which are not specialty rolls in other sushi restaurant I've eaten at. They're missing the typical Alaskan rolls, tuna avocado scallion roll, etc. Now the Beef udon, the beef was a little chewy but actually decent quality, I think maybe just a bit overdone, but actually thick beef, it was good, the noodles were thick udon noodles, made correctly, that was nice, here's the issue. I have ordered chicken or beef Yaki Udon a bunch of times from asian restaurants and it's never spicy. This wasn't spicy, it was extremely spicy. I kept picking out red pepper flakes from the food because it was if they weren't even cooked that much into the food. It was just way too spicy. I like spicy food too, so that must say something. My wife liked her cheese rangoons a lot and as for the coconut shrimp, she liked the flavors and the sauce, but she wasn't expecting the long shrimps with the tails, it made it hard to eat. She wanted shrimp she can just eat without having to grab the tail and bite the rest off and put the tails on the side. She recommends the smaller shrimps without the tails so you can eat the whole piece. So overall, it wasn't the prices quality per say, but it wasn't bad food. I don't necessarily call this my go to asian place in the area. To be completely honest the asian buffet off ashley phosphate was cheaper and had better food and good sushi varieties. read more

My wife and I were very excited to try this place however we were very disappointed and let down by the quality. We ordered the coconut shrimp and pad thai. The coconut shrimp was just 5 strips of heavy tempura battered fried shrimp with coconut milk drizzled on top. My wife ordered the pad thai not spicy but if she knew not spicy meant no flavor then she would've just left with some spice. I thought maybe she was exaggerating so I tried a bite and she was right, no flavor! It was so bland we had to add more salt and even some stevia on top of it. And we searched high and low and there were no crushed peanuts anywhere to be found on it. We did not finish the pad thai and just threw it away unfortunately. Just ordered several items from their menu. Coconut chicken, General Tsos chicken, House fried rice, Tuna Nigri, Chicken dumplings, and Spring rolls. Everything was really good except for the spring rolls. Maybe it was just my taste buds but the spring rolls immediately tasted like sulphur. Every other item was good though. Coconut shrimp,was "wow!" General Tsos was seasoned just right. The House rice was perfect. The dumplings were decent. The Tuna was fresh and the wasabi was excellent.
