I love the hot foods, flaky pies, and snacks here! They are all very fresh and high quality items. Try the New Zealand lamb if you are looking for something different and delicious. They also sell warm Polynesian pastries made with love. A boutique featuring traditional Samoan clothing, purses, and jewelry is also attached to the restaurant area. There is something nice for everyone that comes here! They are open 10am - 4pm but often sell out early so dont wait too late to feed your island cravings!

Always great and delicious Samoan food and bakery items. They also have an excellent assortment of Polynesian snacks and staples like Corned beef, canned tuna from Samoa, chips from New Zealand and Bongos from Fiji. Tim Tam's from Australia and several assorted Arnott biscuits. Lots of yummy foods! You just gotta go in and check it out!

Went there again to support our people's.. frozen sea urchin $65 .. Dad said it had no taste and was still frozen. Very hard to support our people when you walk out with a bill like this. They do charge some things by the pound.they charged me $17 X2 for poly plate. Both had mamoe and povi masima . One plate had chicken thigh and turkey tail. The rest, you see are charged by the lbs. If the quality of food was there, I'd glady pay $300. Welĺ, i guess it was a good experience .

Service, food and reasonable prices. Everything for 60+ dollars! Heck yeah. If you ask me thats a good ess deal compared to Hawaii prices. Jam in bun (not pictured it was gone before we got to our room) 10/10!! If your poly (Samoan) and your out here in LA and want some samoan soul food this is the place "SUPPORT LOCAL & OUR OWN" lesgoo Mahalo Steven & Sons!

Great food. I finally found a samoan spot near work. You can't see the spot as you drive. If you craving for some samoan food and don't want to drive to Carson or cook, then this one is the place to go.

However, it's worth it and unique from other matcha places. Additionally, their garlic bread and cakes are so good too! Ambiance: This location is spacious with many tables, and the display case is so appetizing. Staff were unfriendly, avoided eye contact, and there's very little effort to make customers feel welcome. The decision to use a kiosk for drink orders is a real misstep. A small, independent café lives and dies by the personal connections it builds with regulars. A screen can't replace that warmth or build loyalty. If they want to survive long-term, investing in genuine hospitality would make a world of difference. Overall, it's the service that's the standout issue here, and until that changes, it's hard to recommend.

THIS ONE STAR REVIEW IS ONLY FOR THE WAY THE LINE IS SET UP HERE. I love everything else about…read moreCream Pan, but honestly, the line to select your pastry and the checkout is so UN-USER-FRIENDLY. The self service, pre-made lunch bentos, sandos and sushi area is fine, but once you need assistance from a worker, it starts getting ridic. How so? You speak to whomever is attempting to assist you OVER and UNDER a twenty-four year old counter area that holds the pastries and/or through a tiny hole in the cabinets. You can hardly make eye contact with the person, because all the pastry is in between where you are standing and where they are standing. Some people are tall, some short, but regardless, there is NO WAY to have a conversation with them. They are trying to see what exactly you are possibly pointing to in the case, but as noted, you're talking thru a case of pastry. This is also true at the Fountain Valley location, where they only have a very small counter to check out with many people standing in line trying to have someone collect their order from the back. Maybe also ask WHY there is never any KINAKO donuts? I was there at 11 am and I got THE LAST ONE! If these are so popular, why don't you make enough to sell throughout the day? Every other time I've been here, you were already SOLD OUT! SMH HAS ANYONE HERE SEEN THE SELF SERVICE process at 85 degrees? All their pastry is individually wrapped and you calmly walk through the SELF SERVICE pastry area with a tray and tongs to help yourself. If you'd like to pass the person in front of you, it's easy and doable because there is plenty of room and it doesn't make anyone feel like you are taking "cuts". Once you get to the end, the cashier totals up your tray and puts it in a bag or box for you. Done & Done. Let me reiterate that your pastry and food are all above par and I know you've been in business since 2002 and let me commend you for 24 years of service, but it's time to CHANGE IT UP to a more user friendly process. It's not appealing to anyone in this busy day and age that there is a line out the door, ONLY BECAUSE THE PROCESS INSIDE NEEDS HELP! It's also more sanitary that the pastry and breads are wrapped ahead of time as I saw a fly inside the case today. Ugh.

So she took my order and went next door to charge my card but I didn't know next door was a coffee place guess they link together. Funny thing was she didn't smile and the man who came after me she greeted him with a smile because they are of the same ethnicity. I always go by first experience and impression. I will be looking forward other bakery's in Garden Grove.
