Me and my lady friend pulled up last night just because we didn't want to call it a night. Found this place on Google Maps and decided to pull up. The place was small and there was nobody there checking people at the door so you're not safe from anyone on that bullsh*t. The young lady making drinks told me I couldn't have the Maltese Melody with no explanation, so I asked her why. So she just says "I can't make it right now". Perplexed and lightweight frustrated I went back to my lady friend and sent her up there to see if she gets a different answer. She comes back with these 2 drinks that were in 2 different size glasses and told me that the lady at the bar was pretty much empty so she gave us some type of blueberry juice with tequila or something. No receipt or anything ‍. After these drinks and a couple of songs we left and went up to Sunset Blvd.

From the pictures I have seen of this place, I was VERY hesitant. It most certainly is a small bar, however it packs quite a punch I must say. This place is a classic Los Angeles vibe with little "rules". You know those typical places with a strict dress code and you have to act accordingly while you party with your friends...not this place. You have people drinking, dancing, standing on couches, etc. It's just a good time. Drinks are super heavy, so be prepared for that. And it's super cramped around 1130pm-1am. Might want to get there early to enjoy the space from 10pm-1130pm.

This place is the place to be! They have the best DJ in the game DJ RTistic on Monday's...taco Tuesdays 5pm-9pm...Wings & Fries on Wednesday. Happy Hour 5pm-10pm. Make sure you see my girl Amari at the bar--a GODDESS and theee best with the dranks!!!!!!!! And let me not forget the tacos and wings by Belly's and The Flavor King are ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!!

It ended up being the perfect venue for a night of live local talent--intimate, moody, and full of character. The back room where the artists play? I was obsessed. The paint peeling from the burgundy ceiling and deep red walls in that perfectly imperfect way that tells you this place has history. Wallpaper panels edging the ceiling, cozy café tables mixed with booth-style benches and chaise lounge seating--it felt like an artsy little hideaway where musicians can actually breathe and audiences can really listen. Warm lighting, sexy shadows, and even a tiny bar tucked in back for busy nights. I loved the whole atmosphere. Up front, the full bar is its own vibe--neighborhood-bar energy but with cocktails that taste elevated. I had a Moscow Mule and a Cucumber Gimlet, and both were excellent. The fact that they only use fresh, organic fruit and juice really comes through. Crisp, bright, clean flavors. My bartender was super chill and spot-on with recommendations, which I always appreciate--I love when I can lean on someone's expertise and they absolutely nail it. Even the person checking me in for the performance was great--friendly, helpful, happy I was excited to support local artists. The whole staff just made the night feel easy. I genuinely hope I have another friend perform here, but honestly I'd come back regardless. I love high-end venues as much as anyone, but there is something so special about places like this--spaces with a little wear, a little history, a lot of soul, and a strong commitment to the artists who pass through. This is the kind of spot that keeps the LA creative scene alive.

There were some interesting characters day drinking, and it was great people-watching with lots of regulars. The interactions were priceless. The bartender asked a regular if he'd left his helmet, and when he showed it to him, the regular quipped, "My head is bigger." The helmet looked like a kid's size, and the guy did have a small head.
