Labor was vastly overpriced (15 minute job, $10 for parts, $90 for labor), but it is understandable. They have to have a price floor, and the repair I needed done was short and specific. Overall, it turned out fine. The device has not had issues since, and none of my data was destroyed. Regardless, I recommend always making a backup of your data before consulting any repair company. 10/10 for my specific instance, but look out. If you are on a tight budget or do not know how to back up your data, I would perhaps practice extra discernment in your search.

When I called to explain the issue, I expected them to stand behind their work and repair it free of charge. Instead, I was met with some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. After I sent them a photo of the screen, they immediately blamed me, told me it was my fault, and even said they were "not a magician" and refused to fix it under warranty. There was no attempt to troubleshoot the issue or stand behind their own work. I ended up taking my phone to another repair shop for a second opinion. They told me the screen had been installed incorrectly, which explained the problems I was having. They also told me the replacement screen appeared to be an extremely low-quality part and commented that many reputable repair shops won't even use parts like that because they're known to cause problems. Between the poor workmanship, the apparent low-quality parts, and the unbelievably rude customer service, this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a business. Instead of taking responsibility for what appears to have been an improper installation, they blamed the customer and refused to make it right. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration and go somewhere that actually stands behind its work. I wish I had.

Awesome does not even begin to describe my experience with Clem @ M&M Computers. I didn't get my cracked screen repaired from him(and let's hope I never have to), but I did see him fix a cracked screen in a matter of minutes. He truly works miracles. He did it so well and almost so effortlessly that I asked if he did it for fun! I originally was going to buy an iPhone that had a cracked back screen and wanted to know how much it'd cost to get that replaced. He missed my call but texted me back within 10 minutes asking if he could help me. I told him my situation and he ended up offering me two phones that were practically new for sale. A couple days later, I swung by on my lunch break and there was my phone. Practically new like he said. I played around with it as he gave me tips and whatnot. He even found someone who could factory unlock my phone for me. He stays true to his word and I could not be happier with my new phone. Ok, these guys are really great. I dropped my iPhone and the screen shattered. I debated for about 4 days if I wanted to repair the screen or upgrade from an iPhone 5 to an iPhone 6. I decided to repair it and I'm so happy I did. I showed him my phone. He told me the price. He took about 15 to 20 minutes. And I was out the door. It was that fast and that simple. He is really nice too. They are very Professional & friendly. I honestly am glad I chose to come here. I hope I don't have to go back. IDENTITY THEFT CRIMINALS! DON'T GO HERE! I sold a computer here for $40 and suddenly a week later someone makes a bizarre $60 purchase using my debit card numbers. Coincidence? Not possible. These people know how to get any debit or credit information from an old computer. These people are master minds! Mind you, my debit card never left my wallet. I had to destroy my debit card, account, file a complaint with police, file a complaint with the FTC, and place a freeze on my credit to prevent any further criminal activity. My MacBook Pro was pronounced unfixable and dead at a national electronics store which shall remain unnamed, but has the initials BB. This, despite having paid for a year's worth of their unimpressive repair services. I For less than $200 (plus tax) M&M Computers breathed life into my MacBook. It now works as good as new. I would not hesitate to bring any of my electronic devices to this fine shop for repair in the future. These guys are true professionals at all MacBook repair. Brought in my iPhone 6 to have the cracked screen replaced. Pick up and two days later he screen literally is popping off, BEWARE of cheap parts but not a cheap price. Wish I would have known and now I am out the money on the screen and have to take it to another repair shop to have them fix it. They must use cheap parts and there attitudes suck Wish I could give them ZERO stars you have been warned I would save the money and spend a little more on a repair shop that actually knows what they are doing and backs up there parts they replace. read more

I was on my way to get a new laptop after i dropped my laptop and a moving vehicle ran over it, i met a friend and explained what happened to him, he recommended that instead of buying new laptop that i should take the damaged one to M & M. I reluctantly took the laptop to them, the extent of the damage i didnt know that laptop can be repaired. I was proved wrong here, they changed every damaged parts and repaired the laptop, i was amazed at the work they did. They engineers were professionals and very knowledgeable. I needed the battery swapped out for my 2012 Macbook Pro since Apple wouldn't service it anymore. I found MNM Computers by a coworker's recommendation and he was very responsive (via Yelp messaging). Jose was friendly and even cleaned the inside of my laptop (it was really dusty since of course I never opened it up). The price was very reasonable (half of what another place quoted) and turnaround speedy, no appointments needed. I would definitely recommend these guys for macbook repairs. Needed a part for my Dell laptop screen, Bestbuy didn't have it and the sales rep recommended M&M. He said they've been in citrus heights for ever and have hard to find parts. YEP! he was right...and for cheap. The back of this place looks like a computer 'junk yard'...perfect! Found my go to computer store from now on. I took my iPhone 15 Pro Max here for a screen repair and had a great experience. The service was fast and professional -- I only waited about 10 minutes for the repair. They installed a genuine Apple display, and my phone immediately recognized it in Settings, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. After dealing with aftermarket screens before, this made a big difference. While genuine parts cost more, the quality and result were absolutely worth it. My phone feels brand new again. Fix My Gadget responded with a quote to repair my headphones for a flat $35. When I went to the location on 11/27 to drop off my headphones, the young guy took the headphones and charged me $35 for the repair and gave no indication of when they would be fixed just that they would call us. Later that evening I received a text message that they found the issue, parts will be ordered, and the headphones will be ready for pickup in a week . There was no communication of the cost of these parts, that they were in addition to the $35 I had already paid, or confirming if I wanted to continue with the repair knowing the new cost. They just ordered the parts and assumed I would pay for them. One week later, on 12/5 I hadn't heard from Fix My Gadget, so I texted. I got a response that the parts were arriving on 12/6 and by 12/7 the repair would be done. On 12/7 I hadn't heard back...again, so I texted. Fix My Gadget responded saying the parts will be delivered on 12/14. Another week later, on 12/14, I hadn't heard bak, so I texted....again. I got a response that the headphones were ready for pickup. When I arrived at the store, I tested the headphones and everything worked great. I'm guessing these were different headphones altogether, because they wouldn't pair with the devices they were previously paired with at originally. In addition, Fix My Gadget charged me an addition $62 for "parts" which they never communicated or confirmed I was willing to pay. Come to find out, the $35 I originally paid was a nonrefundable deposit as the person at the business explained to us their process, but it was the first time we heard it. Overall I paid almost $100 for my repairs that I was not expecting. The communication was most likely broken down due to the multiple ways we contacted the business where each representative probably assumed our first point of contact explained things, but we were unhappy with the information we got during the entire process. We were happy that Fix My Gadget was able to fix my headphones in the end. I think anyone who uses their services will need to ask more questions than we did and the experience will be better.

First they tried one screen after 4 hours of my phone being in their office it was glitchy and did not work. They tried another screen that one also didn't work then they tried a 3rd screen that they did not state was $350. They had my husband in there for 4 1/2 hours and even an hour past closing time. He was arguing with the owner of the shop over the phone for those entire 4 hours trying to get a refund for the $130.66 and they finally agreed to refund it since we did not want the screen and they took it off and put my broken one back on. They ended up giving him $87.00 back and scammed $43.66 out of the money we paid. No this did not include the $35 deposit that you have to pay to get your phone diagnosed which you do not get refunded which is understandable. They then came to the conclusion that the battery is bad in my phone and needed to be replace and the owner of the store wanted another $35 to diagnose if my battery is actually bad and then however much more on top of that to replace the battery he said no and left at 8pm last night. He went back in today and the owner was refusing to answer the workers phone calls because they have to get verification that they can give cash back. I did the math on the markup price of the original $150 screen replacement that they still wanted to sell to me even though it was glitching and malfunctioning. I found the website they order from and they are charging a 74.43% markup on replacing the screen. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT MONEY SCAMMED FROM YOU. I will be going back myself and getting my money back.

He was able to properly diagnose the issue, repair the DC jack, and fix the underlying soldering problem on the motherboard instead of resorting to a full (and expensive) motherboard replacement.
