This review is long overdue (sorry, Benson). Due to previous unfortunate experiences with dings and hit and runs on my previous cars, I decided to install a dash cam in my new car. After researching various options, I contacted Benson for installation services. Benson provided me with two pricing options: one including a dash cam and installation fee, and the other solely for installation. The latter was more cost-effective considering his mobile service. We scheduled an installation date, and I opted for the Momento 8 dash cam offered by Benson. On the day of the appointment, Benson arrived early, demonstrating punctuality, a trait I highly value. He completed the installation two hours ahead of schedule, leaving a clean and professional finish. Even after the installation, I had additional questions, and Benson responded promptly, albeit with a slight delay which I'm sure is due to his busy schedule. While I regret not choosing the dash cam I initially considered on Amazon, the Momento 8 interferes with my CarPlay functionality. I am currently trying to figure out a workaround, but I'll give it some time. If my preference changes, I will no doubt call Benson again. I purchased a new (used) vehicle that didn't have the backup sensor option. Once you get used to driving a car with backup sensors as my previous car had, you are spoiled about reversing without them. (Backing up isn't my strongest skill anyways.) I figured that if this guy offers and is highly experienced in installing this particular product and others who have had it done are very satisfied, it sounds like a safe bet. His price quote was reasonable and I liked the idea of him coming to me and my not having to take my car to a shop and wait around for it. We discussed the install and he addressed my questions patiently.He didn't mind my watching and did a beautiful job with no evidence that it was aftermarket like wires hanging out or panels not properly replaced or that type of thing. He even helped me with a few other quick little things on the car unrelated to the backup sensors and didn't charge me for them even when I offered to pay him a little extra. I recently purchased a 2016 Subaru Outback and forgot to add the parking sensors before picking the car up from the dealer. When I inquired with the dealer I was quoted $525 to install 2 rear facing sensors, an additional $100 to color match it if I wanted it done. The dealer installed option required that I leave the car for the entire day so that they could take it to get it done. Too inconvenient for me I reached out to other installers on Oahu to get some comparative pricing. After calling around I spoke to Benson at MA&S and he quoted me just $220 to do the install, at my house, when I wanted it done,and it included 4 rear facing sensors. I needed to repair my car alarm remote, which he tried but was only able to do a temporary "fix" on Friday for the weekend.
