I just moved to the area and always see this food truck and wanted to try it for a while now. There's always a line, so I assumed the food had to be good. I decided to stop one afternoon while running errands.. there was a short line, but it was pretty fast once you know what you're ordering. The food is cooked to order, so I did have to wait about 10 minutes, which was fine with me because I ran another errand and came back for my food. I was so excited to try it, being part Cuban, the menu was filled with food I grew up on. I gave up meat almost a year ago, but I was willing to sacrifice it all lol and had no regrets.. I ordered a beef empanada, which was seasoned to perfection, I also ordered a media noche and a materva. The media noche was put together well. It was a huge sandwich. I noticed on their menu that they did have some cooked food options, along with some sides, like fries and Tostones, they also sell homemade juices.. I will be back to try everything. It does look like it's a husband and wife team, the guy took my order and he was super nice. They do have two chairs to sit down on, there is no outdoor seating, it's a grab and go, or sit in your car type of thing. Well worth the try. read more

We came upon this place by total accident. They are located just west 441 on Palmetto Park Rd in Boca Raton. We were in the mood for a cafe con leche and tostada and this place delivered. It delivered so much that we went back a second day to taste the sandwiches and comete meal (una completa). My hubby also tried the Mamey shake and these folks are the real deal. We are Cuban and trying to find a place that serves authentic and fresh a Cuban is hard in this area. Well, search no more. The owners are a super cute Cuban couple who definitely know what they are doing and are willing to g to answer any questions for those that may not be familiar. We had the croquetas and they are amongst the best croquetas I've ever had -- you heard me right. Crispy outside and perfectly mixed and ground ham on the inside. They melt in your mouth. The cafe is La Llave and you can have it with or without sugar and with or without milk. How do you know they are really Cuban? Easy...the mamey, guanábano, fresa, or whatever shake you want is made with milk and leche condensada...not water and sugar. That's the sign of a real Cuban. The lechón was seasoned to perfection and don't even get me started on the black beans. Dee-licious. The sandwiches are made with fresh Cuban bread and they press it down (as it should be). One San which lasted me for lunch and dinner. The same with the lechón meal. With a great variety for all of your needs, the great and friendly service and the easy parking pull up, we will come back again and again. They are at their spot Thursday through Sunday from 11:30am-6:30pm so you still have time to get there now. Each time we've gone, we've met regulars that wouldn't miss their daily orders. Good food. Everything is made fresh so the waits are a bit long. We came in April and it was so hot. We waited over 30 minutes for two sandwiches. It was unbearably hot. Ambience, comfort, temperature, everything affects the taste of the food. I would have enjoyed it more if I was not standing in the hot sun for 30 minutes. I know- it's a food truck. I ordered the Cuban Sandwich, Chicken Empanadas, and a banana milkshake. I I love that they give you every ounce of the shake, whatever doesn't fit in the cup they give to you in another smaller cup. The empanadas and sandwich were so filling I couldn't finish it all. I was a little hesitant to try this place, especially b/c no-one was there when I got there but as I waited for my food (and ate) peoljust seemed to keep coming. My sister saw this food truck parked right on the side of W. Palmetto Road. She decided to stop, check it out, and came home with goodies for us all to try. After that day we all have become fans. They are there, religiously, Thursdays - Saturdays, from 11am - 6pm, and Sundays, from 11am - 5pm. By now, it's really hard to miss them, as you will always see at least 1 - 2 cars at a time parked near the truck, ordering some of their delicious food. The couple that owns the truck, are the same ones cooking and serving the food. They are always friendly, speak both Spanish and English, and try their best to get your orders out quick but still making them fresh to order. The usual Sandwich Cubano is obviously on the menu, my favorite is the media noche Cubano (made with sweet bread). They also have a breakfast sandwich, pork sandwich, Philly cheese steak, and complete meals. Sandwiches are big, and reasonably priced. Sides of tostones or plantains are available, as well as empanadas and some pastries. My other favorite thing from them is their fruit shakes. They have banana, papaya/ mamey, mango, strawberry, guanabana, and more. Of course Cuban coffee is on the manu, as well as natural juices, jarritos, water and sodas. You can even call ahead to place an order and "drive by" to pick it up. They have 2 phone numbers, one for English and on for Spanish, making it easy for everyone. Cash or credit is accepted It's great to have them around. This has been our lunch several times, when on a rush, or just when we crave some Latin food, like the one we grew up with. I finally got to try this out! I may have just returned from Cuba not long ago, but I'm still wanting Cuban food. I wanted a pork sandwich, but they were out of pork, meaning a Cuban sandwich and Media Noche would've been out of question as well. It was recommended to me that I try the steak sandwich instead, so I said sure. My mom got a chicken meal with rice, beans, and tostones, a really large portion. I really wasn't impressed with my sandwich. First of all, there were just barely any potato sticks on it, so they were kind of pointless. The steak itself, palomilla, I was expecting to be thin, but it was SO thin I really didn't taste much. It was rather bland. Still, if you're in West Boca, it's a good option on Wednesday-Sunday and better when they have their full menu I guess. read more

I've driven by this food truck many times while driving down Palmetto. Finally, I remembered this place while figuring out lunch plans one day. I was so surprised to see how many positive reviews there were, and was so stoked to try it. They have a small but fulfilling menu with lunch and dinner items, smoothies, and pastries. My husband and I ordered a cuban sandwich each, and split fries, plantains, and two croquettas. The chicken croquettas were delicious! Not too salty, and the inside mixture was a perfect consistently. The cuban sandwiches are huge! I highly recommend splitting it, especially if you plan on getting other items. Honestly, it was one of the best cuban sandwiches I've ever had. Pork was cooked well, the cheese was melty and oozing off the bread. If anything it could use slightly less salt but overall absolutely delicious. The plantains were made well. The fries were definitely generic frozen fries, but still does the trick if you're wanting fries. Overall, wonderful experience. So happy to have such a great place close-by. Will be back. read more

Went to this place for a quick lunch. I ordered steak sandwich (pan con bistec) and it was very delicious. Huge size sandwhich, and the milkshake was yummy. They even give you a mini extra cup for the extra shake. I saw they have soup on their menu, which I cant wait to go back and try. My family and I have lived in Boca now for 4 months and we have seen the truck every time we pass it on Palmetto. Today we decided to stop by and have lunch and it was totally worth it. The empanadas are delicious, the palomilla steak was outrageous, we got plantains, yuca, tostones, and guava and cheese pastries. Everything was delicious and we will definitely be going back! I stopped here to get a sandwich yesterday afternoon and I was so sick last night to my stomach. I am pretty sure I got food poisoning and I am pretty sure it was from their food because I didn't eat anything else. The food tasted great while I was eating it, but the aftermath sucked. I don't usually give bad reviews, but I have too. I don't want anyone else to get sick. I don't even wish that on my worst enemy. I am also angry because now I am sick on my day off. Okay, let me start this off by saying the food isn't great... It isn't food I would stop by to get every day, but it is a food truck so what can you expect? The food comes out quick it's a nice quick bite to eat if you're into Cuban food. I usually get the food truck occasionally Monday or any other stressful day at work lol.... The people that work in the food truck are all really nice, and it has pretty decent hours too if you want to stop by for lunch or dinner. For me, the only downside is the food, and sorry for a short review there's not really much to talk about a food truck you go to every so often... I would recommend, though!
