My sister saw this food truck parked right on the side of W. Palmetto Road. She decided to stop, check it out, and came home with goodies for us all to try. After that day we all have become fans. They are there, religiously, Thursdays - Saturdays, from 11am - 6pm, and Sundays, from 11am - 5pm. By now, it's really hard to miss them, as you will always see at least 1 - 2 cars at a time parked near the truck, ordering some of their delicious food. The couple that owns the truck, are the same ones cooking and serving the food. They are always friendly, speak both Spanish and English, and try their best to get your orders out quick but still making them fresh to order. The usual Sandwich Cubano is obviously on the menu, my favorite is the media noche Cubano (made with sweet bread). They also have a breakfast sandwich, pork sandwich, Philly cheese steak, and complete meals. Sandwiches are big, and reasonably priced. Sides of tostones or plantains are available, as well as empanadas and some pastries. My other favorite thing from them is their fruit shakes. They have banana, papaya/ mamey, mango, strawberry, guanabana, and more. Of course Cuban coffee is on the manu, as well as natural juices, jarritos, water and sodas. You can even call ahead to place an order and "drive by" to pick it up. They have 2 phone numbers, one for English and on for Spanish, making it easy for everyone. Cash or credit is accepted It's great to have them around. This has been our lunch several times, when on a rush, or just when we crave some Latin food, like the one we grew up with. As I said, this has become a favorite of ours, here I am sharing it with you all, hoping you like them as much as we do.

I finally got to try this out! I may have just returned from Cuba not long ago, but I'm still wanting Cuban food. I wanted a pork sandwich, but they were out of pork, meaning a Cuban sandwich and Media Noche would've been out of question as well. It was recommended to me that I try the steak sandwich instead, so I said sure. My mom got a chicken meal with rice, beans, and tostones, a really large portion. I really wasn't impressed with my sandwich. First of all, there were just barely any potato sticks on it, so they were kind of pointless. The steak itself, palomilla, I was expecting to be thin, but it was SO thin I really didn't taste much. It was rather bland. Still, if you're in West Boca, it's a good option on Wednesday-Sunday and better when they have their full menu I guess.

I've driven by this food truck many times while driving down Palmetto. Finally, I remembered this place while figuring out lunch plans one day. I was so surprised to see how many positive reviews there were, and was so stoked to try it. They have a small but fulfilling menu with lunch and dinner items, smoothies, and pastries. My husband and I ordered a cuban sandwich each, and split fries, plantains, and two croquettas. The chicken croquettas were delicious! Not too salty, and the inside mixture was a perfect consistently. The cuban sandwiches are huge! I highly recommend splitting it, especially if you plan on getting other items. Honestly, it was one of the best cuban sandwiches I've ever had. Pork was cooked well, the cheese was melty and oozing off the bread. If anything it could use slightly less salt but overall absolutely delicious. The plantains were made well. The fries were definitely generic frozen fries, but still does the trick if you're wanting fries. Overall, wonderful experience. So happy to have such a great place close-by. Will be back.

    Yum !!!

DELICIOUS! The truck was a little difficult to find at first but it was on palmetto slightly west of 441. Food was made in under 10 min! Cuban sandwich was huge and so good! I also got a beef empanada which was very good.

Maria's Tacos y Más - Nachos with Chorizo & Steak -- "The Food Truck That Had No Business Being…read moreThis Good" I only review nachos. One plate, one standard. And this one is at a taco truck in the Exxon station at Beracasa Way and Palmetto. Don't let the address fool you. I'll be honest. I don't really eat at food trucks. Novelty stops, not places you expect to outcook a restaurant. Then I went through the internet's top-ten nacho lists, discovered the internet and I have very different standards, and the quest demanded a wider net. Maria's was on the list. I pulled in with zero expectation of being impressed. I was impressed. The menu is clean -- homemade tortilla chips, melted cheese, pico, pickled jalapeños, avocado crema, cotija, cilantro, onion. Every single ingredient belongs on a nacho. No mystery feta hidden in the queso. Julio, who works the truck, told me to get the chorizo AND steak. Julio was right. Write that down. The chips are homemade and held up all the way to the bottom, zero soggy chips, including the layer under the refried beans, which is more than nachos twice this price have managed. The cheese (likely Oaxaca) had a proper melt. Both proteins were seasoned and cooked correctly, chorizo bringing smoke and spice, steak bringing substance. And the jalapeños had actual heat that built as I ate, which in this series is cause for celebration. I've eaten too many decorative circles that contributed nothing. The Fork Rule got violated, but for the first time in the series, by enthusiasm, not failure. The plate looked so good coming out of that truck that waiting wasn't an option. The fork was a choice, not a rescue. It came out hot and fast -- 3.5 minutes, the quickest plate I've clocked. It was warm by the time I ate it, but that's on me: there's nowhere to sit at the truck, so I drove 15 minutes home first. The kitchen did its job. My commute undid it. Not a mark against them. 9/10 -- The Food Truck That Had No Business Being This Good. I finished every chip. From a gas station. The quest is full of surprises. -- Florida Nacho Man.

Maria's Tacos Y Mas is my go-to spot for tacos and burritos, and I've been coming here at least…read moretwice a week for a while now. The barbacoa is my personal favorite, but honestly you can't go wrong with any of the proteins--the chicken, steak, al pastor, and shrimp are all excellent. What really sets this place apart are the sauces. Julio, the owner and head chef, makes them all from scratch. The verde sauce is fresh, flavorful, and mild, while the hot sauce has the perfect balance of heat and flavor. The portions are consistently generous, and you can tell they take pride in every order. Don't let the food truck fool you--this is restaurant-quality food made by people who genuinely care about what they serve. In all the times I've eaten here, I've never had an order made incorrectly or a meal that wasn't excellent. Great food, great people, and consistently one of the best taco spots around. Highly recommend!

The chef said yes, made them from scratch, and wouldn't take a dime. What arrived was outstanding. House BBQ brisket, stripped perfectly for a nacho chip, which almost *nobody gets right*. Fresh queso that actually delivered. Avocado crema drizzled throughout. Cotija crumbled on top. Bell peppers adding color and brightness, and the chips held under the Fork Rule. This was a prototype. Eight chips. Not hot. Stale chips cost them points. The metal tin showed up uninvited as always, and it still scored an 8.5. Two things stand between Los Bocados and the highest nacho score in this series: fresh chips and the right vessel. Everything else is already there. If you want these nachos -- and you do -- walk up and ask nicely. The chef may just make them for you.
