Two things that really make or break a customer relationship in today's economy is communication and customer service. Both of these, which completely failed on my recent attempt to call out to Showtys. I woke up early Saturday morning 6/16/2018 to my car not starting but it was trying to turn-over. After many failed attempts to get my car started, I called AAA but it wasn't the battery. So I, based on my one past good experience with Showtys, decided to call Showtys for a Mobile Mechanic visit. It was Father's day weekend and was in a bind but had no reason to doubt follow-up. I called service shop I was familiar with but they were closed and the AAA's recommendation shop was closing at noon. But, I waited, and waited, and waited. I had sent Showtys, as requested on my phone call to them a text with the required information, but never received a call, never showed up, never even called to apologize for flaking. Sunday then came around, and I figured Oh well, maybe they will call me Monday morning. Out went my Father's day plans and Monday came and went. Now it is Tuesday and I finally had my car towed to a service location. Will delete Showty's from phone book and if you are smart, then so will you! read more

My busy work schedule doesn't allow me to leave my truck at a repair shop all day. I called days in advance to schedule an appointment to have him replace my drivers side window regulator. Bryan and I agreed upon Friday at Noon. Friday morning I sent him a text to confirm our appointment for that day. Everything seemed to be going well up until that point. It's 11:56 a.m. when I get a text from Bryan asking how late I'll be at work because he's running late. When I replied asking how late he's running I received no response. I replied with another text explaining I leave at 4:30 to go to my other job and cannot be late. No response. I called Bryan at 12:04 p.m. to ask how late he's running. He said about 2 hours behind schedule that he could be there by 2:30 p.m. to work on my truck, that it shouldn't take more than an hour to fix. I agreed and waited. 2:30 comes and goes and not even a phone call or a text message. Once again I called him back at 3:07 p.m. and had my call declined after it rang twice. At this point I text him asking him to be straight with me whether or not he can do the repair the same day. He said he'd be done in about 10 minutes and that he'd work with me on the price or we could reschedule. I said as long as the repair was done by the time I leave it's fine. Bryan said he'd text me in 20 minutes and I never heard from him. Poor customer service and poor communication. There's no reason I had to be chasing after him for information. Lesson learned. Save your time and look elsewhere or schedule appointments at your own risk. read more

Terrible at communicating, put old parts in my BMW, was too arrogant to come back to take a second look, stating that he knows his work is good. I had to actually go to BMW to get a diagnostic test to PROVE that he put old parts in, once that happened he fixed it in no time. He made me buy another part to my car before I received the diagnostic test.. so I never needed the part but he kept it and kept my money. NOT SO GOOD. Hired Bryan to do an inspection on a diesel pick up I was buying from SAS Motors. I do think he is a good mechanic based on other reviews, but when it comes to diesels he didn't deliver confidence to me. he just plugged in scanner and explained some basic codes to me. I could have done that with my torque app or car gauge pro app and phone. what I was looking for was someone paying full attention to the entire engine behavior. he didn't bother to check blowby, or do a cranking cylinder compression test to have an idea. an injector buzz test could had been done in a few minutes, the worst part was when I test drove the truck he was talking to seller the whole time instead of paying full attention to engine sound and transmission/torque converter sound. they were talking about reviews the whole time, I had to interrupt their talk to ask him about this clanking noise under load. he had no answer. in general I felt he had no knowledge on diesels. anyways it's all on me , because I hired him, I did not want to be rude and fire him on the spot, so just paid him and thank him, but this review is to help others that migth be needing a diesel inspection. and I'm sure he will learn from this case as well. the 4 stars is for respect as I'm sure he knows other stuff. read more

I hired Brian for one repair and he showed up on time and performed an alternator replacement quickly and for a fair price. He completed the work and asked if I would help him out by posting a positive review on Yelp, which I did. The following week I contacted him for another repair and had a completely different experience. He never picked up his phone, didn't respond to voicemails, responded via text but days later, said he would arrive for a repair but didn't, again didn't respond to calls or texts. Had a flat on the side of the road and they pulled over to help. We actually locked our keys and phones in the car too so we weren't able to make any calls. He was beyond helpful and called the LA roadside assistance folks who were there in less than 5 minutes. If we hadn't had locked out keys in the car, he would have changed the flat for us too. He has been fixing my car for the past few years and i have been more than Patient with him. he has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. it is nearly impossible to get ahold of him and he will say he is coming a certain day and will never show up. I have spent many days waiting around for him to show up and he doesn't even take the time to call you to tell you he's not coming. Don't let you have a question Or complaint about his work he will ignore you. my sister called him to fix her brakes I called him one minute later and he sent me right to voicemail. i also believe he used old parts because he use to show you the receipt and the old parts that he took out but he never does it anymore . plus he has fixed my water pump and thermostat more than once over a year and a half timeftake And I hate to drive so its no way They need to be replaced that often. He just fixed my breaks and i feel like they are slipping like they are used or done wrong. He also just fixed my thermostat and it wasn't done correctly so it's leaking antifreeze. I told him three days later that my antifreeze was completely gone and I see a leak and can he look at it. I have been trying to get him to come back and fix it for over a month and he will says he's coming and never come.. I had another mechanic come look at it and he said the thermostat wasn't sealed properly and to have him reseal it since I paid him. but he never came and completely ignored me. When you cuss him out or threaten to leave a review then he will answer and tells you this crazy excuse. stay away from this guy. Sure he may know how to fix cars I will give him that. But his lack of communication and hes ego is gonna put him out of business. I'm not here to spread lies or bash anyone everything I am saying is the truth and he needs to humble himself before life does. Brian saved my car!!! He and his team are awesome. My friend is driving my 2004 VW Wagon while I am in Europe and she called me the other day to let me know that the car is broken beyond repair. The clutch was broken and she barely made it to a mechanic who told her that the repair would go into the thousands and wasn't worth it. When she called me to inform me that the car is done I told her to carefully drive back home and I would call around to see if there is some meachanic out there who could save the car. I immediately jumped on Yelp and called 10 different places (via Skype from Europe) and eventually spoke to Brian. After I explained the problem to him he said to call him back within 20 minutes and he would check if he could find a clutch for a reasonable price. When I called him back he said that he found a clutch and could do the job the very next day at my friends house. The next day he and his colleague came to my friends house and spend the day there exchanging the clutch and doing some other repairs. All in all this cost me less then a quarter of what we were originally quoted by the other mechanic. The car is now in great shape again and no more problems. All in all an awesome service for the best price I could find. Very reliable, great communication and customer service! I highly recommend this place!!! read more

The first time war to write an review for amazing service where a substantial tip wasn't enough, and this time where it just poor business edict. I used these guys prior to fix a truck that was a no start issue. He was certain that my diagnosis was way off and it had to be something else which after dropping 400 bucks for labor and me purchasing the part came out to a little over 500 bucks. When they left and my wife used the vehicle to take the kids to school... no start. I called to see if they can come back out and I just got a I don't know what to tell you and him not wanting to come back out, but to let the, know and they can see if he can find the time. The truck was at family's house and yesmit wouldmhave been a drive but I would have made it worth it as I gave a little extra the first time... Well when reaching out I got a who's this? Let me call you back. So after that mo call back, tried texting.... same deal what's it for.... no response. Just say your booked or you don't have time? To not respond is unprofessional! Yes! This man is nothing short of amazing. Not only was he willing to tackle a very large and rare project but he also figured out every way to make it work when no one else would. My 1971 military truck was not an easy fix for any mechanic but he came out time and time again fixing every single thing that was having a problem. I cannot believe I have finally found a mechanic that is this knowledgeable with everything from diesel trucks all the way to eletric cars. I have called him out well over a dozen times and he has had so many custom brake lines fabricated and hydraulic pumps made that I was thinking my bill was going to be over $5000 but when he asked me for payment at the end I felt as though I was short changing him because it was so cheap. Every estimate I obtained was more than five times the amount he ended up charging me and there is no way I will ever be able to repay him for all of the services rendered. 10 stars wouldn't be enough read more

Horrible engine swap on my 2003 Honda Accord. The car sounded better BEFORE the swap. Mechanic is rude and didn't bother to try to fix the issue with noises after the swap, didn't bother to see or fix all the stuff he left undone after we pointed out his mistakes! He left hoses unclamped and others disconnected, lost some of the screws and has the audacity to tell us that it's not his "job" to put things back together, his job was to only do the swap. What kind of a mechanic says something like that to a first time customer referred by one of his customers? Horrible customer service experience and expensive too. Brian is an arrogant and rude person to deal with, any mechanic would of taken the extra time to make things right. Feel Iike the job was rushed (done in one day) and done super sloppy, please people SAVE YOUR MONEY & don't go with this guy! I literally wasted $550 for nothing, now I have to look for another mechanic to fix what Brian didn't bother to fix, and spend more money.. really sad and upsetting!
