Long story short, I needed a high priority, last minute inspection done on a vehicle I was looking at on the other side of the country. I found Courtney and his business, chatted with him at 4pm PST, and he not only offered to assist, but did so that same evening for two hours, having a report in my hands less than three hours after first contact. This job was relatively easy as the car was a newer well maintained sportscar, but the peace of mind was worth the investment. Know that his prices may be slightly higher than average, but competitors at lower prices weren't even available for another 2-5 business days to even get someone out there, so his timeliness CAN'T be beat. Do not use this service for a vehicle pre-purchase inspection. I am actively trying to get my money back from this company. I paid $420 for them to inspect a vehicle for me at a dealer. They reported the vehicle had no issues, and encouraged me to buy it. Once I purchased the vehicle, I discovered the following issues: cracked radiator, damaged leaking upper radiator hose, bad engine mounts (common for this model of vehicle- I asked them about this directly and they said they were fine), leaking rear differential, and front brakes that were worn down and in need of replacement. All of the items except the brakes will be covered by the dealer warranty, fortunately, and I can do the brakes myself- however- I genuinely feel scammed by this company, and it is unclear if they actually inspected the vehicle, as I was not there for the inspection (they encourage you not to be there). On top of all of this, we spoke on the phone at 11am the day of the inspection, and they said they were directly enroute. They did not arrive for four hours, with zero communication in between. I will be going to the Better Business Bureau, Google Reviews, Nextdoor, and other platforms to report this truly terrible experience. Mobile PDX- if you see this, kindly refund my money. read more

After the inspection the guy tried to shame me out of more money and then sent me a picture of a scrap of handwritten paper which was supposedly his inspection report. My husband and I were interested in a car at a used car dealership, and this business was one of the only ones open on a Sunday (I just discovered it on Google). While it was a little pricier than other vehicle inspections we've had in the past, it was totally worth it. The inspection was super detailed and thorough. I had 2 unknown electrical issues that happened within a week . Melting wires and no power to anything ,even the headlights didn't work .I called a friend / coworker that happens to be a backyard mechanic that loves old Ford's and he got me up and running for 2 days before my 1988 Bronco II died for good . Long story made short Courtney and his son Lou tracked it all the way to a bad starter . I believe the full cost for showing up 2 days + the parts and the labor ( and also the frustration of me hanging over their shoulders asking questions , et all ) was about what you would pay for labor.time alone at a drive in shop . I was getting my oil changed today, rolled the window down to talk to the tech and when I drove away, it wouldn't roll back up. Good thing it down poured today. **insert sarcasm** I called Courtney up and let him know the 411, he said he would be over in the afternoon to early evening. He kept me updated via text and made it over much later than expected, at 7 pm. He had a full schedule and was fitting me in at the end of his day. 2 hours later and he was done, it took a bit of time to get the old motor out, since it died with the window fully down and my door design has a small access opening. He never complained and got the job done well. He also cleaned and lubricated the window. I thanked him and he replied, "I really didn't feel like coming out this late but tomorrow was fully scheduled and I knew it was raining. No one wants a stuck window in the rain." I appreciate it so much that he made it out the same day. He has really become my go-to person for all car needs. Fan shroud, battery replacement and corrosion repair, rear brake replacement, brake flush, trunk hydraulic system replacement (SUV trunk lift wouldn't stay up), spark plug replacement and now a window motor replacement. He upgraded to a white utility van full of whatever he needs to do your repair. If he doesn't have the replacement item, he will go out and get it for you, same day. Total professional. Because I was there to witness how MobilePDX operates. The process was straight forward: - I called them up. - Courtney and I exchanged some details over text. - They arrived a little after lunch. - I handed them my car keys and walked away. - They were done before the work day ended. - I paid them--honestly a fair price and I was not at all surprised by it. I live on the coast and knew that it was important to buy a truck in the valley and I decided on a small car lot they didn't allow vehicles to leave the lot to be checked since it didn't have the staff to transport it. When I went searching for who could do it for me, these guys had the best reviews. And I was not disappointed! I don't know what I would have done without Courtney--truly. It all began when I tried to start my car one morning, and out of the blue it began shaking and the check engine light was on. I had a crazy day at work and didn't have time to think much about it, let alone take it to a mechanic, so I got a ride from a friend and thought (with frustration) that I would just be without a car for a few days...or longer. Then a friend told me about Mobile PDX and I learned that there was a mechanic who would come to my HOUSE and fix it for me, and he was a trustworthy human and would do it at a reasonable cost. I had trouble believing that....but it's true! I gave Courtney a call the day my car broke down, and within 24 hours he had come to my home, repaired it, and it was running again. The best part? I didn't have to be there!! (I am a small business owner, running around all day long. So this was monumental for me.) He inspected my car, called to tell me what was wrong and how much it would cost (it was a coil and it was only a couple hundred bucks), went out and bought the part, fixed it immediately + then sent me an invoice via Square. Seriously couldn't have been easier. But the best part about working with Courtney is that he also called afterwards to inform me of the extremely poor shape my car was in, and told me that it needed a new timing belt along with a bunch of other work, and that to fix all the parts would cost more than he believed it to be worth. (It was a very old and not very well-maintained car...) He said if it were him, he would buy a new one. So I did just that. Courtney advised me during my used car buying process, and then when I found a car, I hired him to go to the dealership to inspect it so that I could know with certainty that the car I was getting was in good shape. (Again, within 24 hours of me calling him to tell him I'd found a car that I wanted him to check out, he was at the used car dealership, trying to negotiate deals for me.) I was able to buy my new car with confidence, and Courtney was a huge help in that. (He also helped me figure out an appropriate trade-in value for my old car.) I seriously don't know what I would've done without Courtney because I know nothing about cars and I am OK with that. I trust him a lot, and friends that use him do as well! The line he used "Was under promise and overperform" The reason for their 5 stars is the "overperform". 7 of 8 wheel studs had somehow sheared off the divers side rear dually on the RV while driving. On the road and in Cascade Locks, miles from anywhere that could fix it. Ya cant move it, last one could snap. Courtney understood the danger, gave the best explanation of scenarios that might occur, drove the hour+ to us and on the roadside removed, repaired and replaced the rear wheel hub and tires. There was more, he drove with the ladies to the next town to have the tires replaced and to make sure all was well. I was 3000 miles away, in Alaska, from my girlfriend who was driving. All done by phone and a certain amount of trust in a man, his word, and his crew, who may sound a little gruff and direct but who's word is bankable.
