Mocha Angelo's offered a plethora of options for coffee cups, hot sauces, salsas, and more, giving customers the freedom to customize their drinks according to their preferences. Speaking of drinks, most of our party opted for coffee, and we were not disappointed. The coffee at Mocha Angelo's was delicious, boasting rich flavors that pleased our taste buds. My parents are locals in estes. They always send me a pound of their coffee beans. I stopped in Angelos today to stock up myself. While I was looking at what I wanted to buy the owner behind me kept making comments about the starbucks drink in my hand. I finally turned to stare at him so he had to opportunity to make his comments to my face, but instead stood up real embarrassed and offered to grind any of the coffee for me. Even though I enjoy Angelo's coffee I refuse to give him my business. My family and I left, we like to support local shops but we give our business to Kind Coffee instead. I swung through Mocha Angelo today to get a cup of coffee. The small (roughly a tall in Starbucks' sizing) latte was average overall. The flavor wasn't bad, but did not have the smoothness nor richness that a good latte can have. I'll try somewhere else the next time I'm passing through Estes. If you're someone that likes flavored coffee, it might be work checking out; they do offer many flavored syrups. read more

Very quaint coffee shop hidden between tons of other coffee shops and stores. They also sell jams, coffee beans, and hot sauces. Both owners are very knowledgeable about their products, and even had a hot sauce tasting. Very impressed with their coffee and hot sauce selection. Did not have a drink, but genius idea to have people try out the sauces with a coffee bar conveniently located in the back. read more

Quaint little shop with full service espresso bar in the back, and a variety of options throughout the store. The uniqueness of their expansive tasting section really caught us by surprise. He has a plethora of hot sauces, sweet jams, and jellies with tables of chips and crackers to sample. This is definitely the best approach to selling bottled options, the taste test certainly influenced our buying a couple bottles. Check this shop out, great small local business! read more

My husband and I were up in Estes for last weekend, and I gotta say--this was some of the rudest service and most mediocre coffee we've had in a long time. The first thing that happened was that I asked if their blended coffee drink contained sugar. The female employee glared at me and disdainfully said, "It's BLENDED COFFEE." Um, Starbucks sells blended coffee, and theirs has sugar. What's wrong with me asking? Then when my husband grabbed his card to pay, the fellow behind the counter (who I assume to be the proprietor because of this remark) snarked, "I guess Visa will take their gigantic cut, and we'll get what's left." Seriously. I am a small business owner myself, so I get that the margins are thin. But what a way to make a customer feel guilty for buying from you! If you don't want to take cards, don't (and that's fine)--but geez Louise, don't make people feel bad for not carrying cash in 2011. Lastly--and this was the nail in the coffin, as I can forgive bad service as perhaps folks are having a crappy day--the coffee was pretty bad. I asked my husband twice if he thought his cup of milk had any coffee in it at all. So needless to say, we'll be hitting the Starbucks in Estes next time rather than going to Mocha Angelo ever again, and I suggest you do the same. read more

My sweetheart and I went to Estes Park in 2011 and had a blast! We stopped at Mocha Angelo's several times and the service was fine, food excellent. I purchased numerous items as family gifts. I especially enjoyed the preserves and spreads that they make. SO DELICIOUS! We plan on getting back there again this year- nice place, funny, friendly staff and great products! read more

Coffee was great, but the man behind the was very rude. I wanted a small iced coffee, and he told me- irritated-that today they're only selling medium or large. ?? I then asked for a small latte. He was really mad at that point. The thing is, it was 3 o'clock in the afternoon and I I did not want to drink a lot of coffee or latte, just a little bit. Also, if it helps to make this review more credible, I am objectively the sweetest person in the world. I did nothing to the man behind the counter but smile and speak kindly to him. Frankly it's been my experience here in Estes Park that everyone has been very rude and short. Maybe they are just plain sick of the tourists, which I get, but if that's the case why stay here and be hostile to people? read more

Every time I've been in this shop the owner can be heard very loudly complaining that people keep eating up his samples. Last year I even heard him yelling at someone as they were walking out the door about it. My husband and I were in there a couple of days ago and saw him putting away his sample bowls and again complaining to a customer that more money is spent on samples then purchases. If you put samples out in a tourist shop chances are that they will be gone by the end of the day. Chasing people around the store and monitoring how many samples everyone takes is not gonna get you business. I don't feel welcomed in this store and probably will not step foot in it again for fear that I may get scolded for taking a "free" sample. That's pretty sad too because it's kind of a neat shop. read more

I've been there twice. Once to get coffee. As the man behind the counter made my mediocre coffee another customer left. He screamed in front of everyone, "Thanks for eating everything and not buying anything." Referring to the broken up corn chips he sets out so the customers can try their hot sauces. Six months later...my wife and I stopped in there again. I love hot sauce and really wanted to get some. We were also looking for some sauce to eat with our steaks we were grilling that evening. My wife mentioned she didnt want to try anything because of last time. I had completely forgotten about his rant. A few minutes later I hear the same man (I'm guessing owner) complaining to another customer about how much of his samples people have been eating. Either he only complains about his customers trying his samples twice a year when I am in there or ALL THE TIME. We put the stuff we were going to purchase down and left. Found a much better selection for less money down the street at the Chili Emporium. Go there instead. read more
