Fun store and even sent the hot sauce to us when we came back and the delivery truck hadn't come in yet. Really appreciate the extra effort!

I ordered a decaf banana cream latte, which had great flavor, and my husband enjoyed the cold brew. Both drinks were excellent and exactly what we needed to start the day. The staff was friendly, and we appreciated that they have outdoor seating where you can enjoy your coffee with your dog. It's always nice finding places that make it easy to bring your pet along. If you're looking for a quick, affordable coffee stop with good drinks, friendly service, and pet-friendly outdoor seating, Raven's Roast is definitely worth a visit.

They also have a really impressive variety beyond coffee, all kinds of teas (white, green, oolong, black), smoothies, Italian sodas, fresh lemonade, plus cookies and other baked stuff. It's a great option if you're with non-coffee drinkers. This weekend I went with a friend who doesn't drink coffee soI got my usual post-hike latte but she got a smoothie she loved so much she went back again the next day after our hike to get another one. The staff is friendly and the space is cute with eclectic, fun decor. During winter visits, we always try to grab the two sofa seats by the fireplace since it's such a cozy spot.

We were fortunate enough to attend the "soft opening" for brunch today and all I can say is WOW! Prior to this John put his heart and soul into Bird & Jim (across the street) while Rob ran the top restaurant in Estes Park (Seasoned Bistro). The Bird's Nest (which operates seven days a week) will now offer brunch Thurs-Sunday. Our experience was delightful and delicious. Some of the old favorites from Seasoned are back along with some new tasty dishes. The views from the second story are as stunning as anything you will see in Estes Park. There is nothing like this in Estes Park so put it at the top of your list of things to do in Estes.

Right outside Rocky Mountain National Park, and directly across from their main outpost, Bird & Jim. This place serves it all: coffee, smoothies, breakfast, baked goods, pizza, salads, soups, wraps, etc. Each menu varies depending on the time of day obviously. The space itself is gorgeous, and not something you'd expect in a mountain town. The high ceilings and massive windows allow you to soak up any mountain and sunset views. They have a nice little patio outside and yes, you'll probably see elk grazing across the street! The pizza left more to be desired. I ordered a simple margherita ($18) and an Odell beer. I would've prefered the pizza to be cooked for another minute in the oven personally, but that's not a knock on them. It desperately needed salt. In the dough and on the tomatoes. The tomatoes slid right off every time I tried to take a bite. It was just severely under-seasoned and really didn't have any flavor at all. I would actually come back here because I do like restaurant concepts like these that offer different experiences throughout the day. A great place to hang out and recharge. I will stick with breakfast and coffee next time!

I had this for lunch and loved it! I loved that I was given suggestions for tea options that would pair well with the pre-selected finger food offerings. I also loved the traditional tea service pieces, music, and traditional finger foods. Having been to English tea at a world renowned spot just a hop away from Buckingham Palace, I felt this had enough similarities to call it a "Proper English Tea" ....and a little gem at the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park. My favorites- curry chicken sandwich, scone, clotted cream, carrot cake Petite fours and the apple spice muffin- lovely! Service started a little slow at the start-but tea is that way (except at the spot "a hop from Buckingham Palace" -they serve a lot of people every afternoon) this was much more relaxing and less rushed. I liked that! I would suggest a traditional current jam with more tartness, a little more cream cheese on the cucumber sandwiches and uber-tiny salt and pepper shakers on the table. Oh- and a bold large scale floral wallpaper on the walls in the bathrooms! Other than that-this experience was perfect!!! Some tea selections are avail for purchase here but, when you go to their sister-store The Tea Room- you can select to your heart's desire! Darling Tea sets, many tea options are available at The Tea Room, and every accessory in order to have your own tea party tonight! OH! I slept about 4 hours the night before to make it early for sunrise. To say that a few tasty beers were what the doctor ordered would be the understatement of the century! None of this matters, of course, to the good folks at Rocky Cut Brewing Company. This is off the main drag of Estes in an unassuming strip plaza. Humble vibes inside, a simple U-shaped bar top with seating all around, a few smaller tables, a community table, and a large patio with mostly picnic table seating. If you're lucky, snag a stool right along the Big Thompson River! Though, I recommend they fix the wooden placeholders for beers, they're leaning on the wrong side of history, we don't want any full glasses of beer reaching an unnecessary demise! Interference IPA * American IPA * 6.7% * 16oz ($7) From their website: "Climbing the Interference Boulder in Rocky Mountain National Park requires strength and power. This Colorado IPA showcases the power of hops with an intense blend forging citrus aromas with a pine forward finish. Featured ingredients: Cascade, El Dorado, Mosaic, Chinook, & Simcoe hops * Recommended adventure: hiking Black Lake, climbing the Twin Owls, skiing upper Hidden Valley." A perfectly apt description. I would summarize this beer just as they did, focusing on hops, citrus, and pine. Absolutely delicious, a memorable IPA in recent memory. I liked it so much I ordered it again and it tasted just as delicious the second time down! They also had a food truck outside, so safe to assume they do this often.
