My family and I had the pleasure of visiting Mochido this weekend. We were excited to learn that Sarap's Filipino food is being served in here, but we opted for Korean hotdogs and Tteokboki. First, we ordered strawberry matcha, mango matcha, and Thai tea. The strawberry matcha was good, but a little too sweet for me. It was very creamy though. The mango matcha was surprisingly delicious. We were all hesitant about this one, but it was actually a great flavor combination! It kinda tastes like a mango yogurt drink. Last, I ordered the Thai tea. It was good but a little watery. I feel like the tea could've been brewed a little more, so its flavor would really stand out. Ever since I visited Mochido's Yelp Elite Experience, I decided that this is my favorite place in Bakersfield for KHot Dogs. Honestly, I feel like the wait time for food is a bit long but these hot dogs are worth the wait! I had the half and half with sugar sprinkled on top. The condiments are available on the side so you can choose how much or how little you want on it. We also wanted to try Tteokboki for the first time. It's served in a spicy broth with fish cakes. It's good, but it wasn't my favorite. Mochido is so cute on the inside. It's vibrantly decorated and had plenty of seats available.

They've added new food to the menu and I'm so happy!! I love to take my kids here. They love everything about it from the vibes, to the food, to the atmosphere, to the service! It's so refreshing to eat in such a positive environment with my kids. We tried all the new donut flavors of the year. There was a raspberry, matcha, ube, pandan, dark chocolate, and a blueberry flavor. They were all very tasty and very full of flavor. Just my cup of tea. My daughter got the mozzarella cheese Korean corn dog with blue takis and we also got to try the popcorn chicken and beef bulgogi bowl. I loved these additions when we want more than donuts! Such a great idea to add these to the menu. My kids loved all the food and my son couldn't stop raving about the beef bulgogi bowl. We will be coming back more often now that they have more options!

This place is like a little oasis and such a breath of fresh air! They have a very large menu so take your time to look it over! The worker was super sweet helping me through ordering! The mochi donuts were really fresh and tasty and the hot latte I got honestly was better than 90% of the lattes I've had from Starbucks in the last few years!! I tried a beef k-dog with ramen and it was such a perfect pairing! Also a nice surprise was the strawberry cheesecake boba! I never really thought of that as a drink but it definitely was delicious and a unique idea! Definitely will be back to try more things!

Tried Mochido for the first time and wow, so delicious. When you first walk in, this shop has the "cute vibes" aesthetic. There are a lot of colors and vibrant decorations which is so cool. Their wall is also very photographable if you are an Instagrammer and want to find places around Bakersfield that have cute backdrops. The main event are their donuts. Yum! The texture is unique and is more dense than the typical airy donut. This is honestly what makes these donuts stand out. The flavors are also very rich. I tried the strawberry, fruity, pebbles, pistachio, and Nutella. My favorite was definitely the Nutella, but I will be back to try the other flavors! The Korean corn dog is also on the menu. You can pick between hotdog, cheese, or half-and-half as the bad. It's completely customizable with toppings such as hot Cheetos, mayo, etc. If you are a Boba fan, they have that as well. A lot of the flavors are on the sweeter side though. Recommend the ube cloud! If you're craving a sweet treat, come check them out! Parking is a little tough since its lot is off a busy street so be careful turning into it. Side note: shout out to Mochido for hosting a Yelp elite event! I had such a great experience. :)

This is such a cute spot! Specially for the youth and k-pop fans! I ordered a Thai tea boba that was pretty tasty.! I will definitely be going back to try the donuts! Oh'! I thought it was really cool they had shark week themed donuts with shark gummies for decor.

This place is super good if you are looking for a great place to sit down and talk with friends while being able to order a variety of things off the menu! I tried their mango matcha and it was super well made! It did have a more mango-y taste but I was okay with that. Also I ordered a Korean corn dog with sugar as a topping and it has become one of my favorite things to order. When I think of this place it reminds me of a cool cafe you can find in Los Angeles!

Dropped my teenage daughter here for a K-pop club meetup. The store was definitely cute and airy. The decorative wall was definitely eye-catching and IG-worthy and the main focus of the space. It's giving me natural vibes with the moss and flower motif. Of course, I ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee. They also have a variety of flavored milk and fruit teas. There are also a good selection of toppings from boba to jellies. Quite a few servers here but would help with the line with installation of those self-ordering kiosks that you see in other boba shops. If you're ever had a mochi donut, you'll know that it doesn't have the same texture as a regular cake donut from Dunkin or Krispy. Mochi donut batter makes for a chewier texture donut due to the use of tapioca flour. The ones made at Mochido were certainly cute and tasty with the K-pop group naming conventions.

Korean milk donuts! Top left vanilla, top right matcha, bottom left crème brûlée and bottom right strawberry.

We have been to Mochido many times to try all the wonderful things they have! And when the owner posted he'd be making Korean milk donuts we had to try them! We live an hour away but make the drive down to shop and eat often! The owner is such an amazing kind man, he saw my interest on Facebook and gave me his personal number telling me he'd put aside an order for me since he sells out quickly and were so far. He did just that today, plus a friends order! These donuts are well worth the hype and drive! Only place within hours of us that even offers these! We got one of each flavor and the crème brûlée is NOT to be missed! Vanilla being our second favorite. Not at all as sweet as they appear, pure perfection! If you're a picture person the shop is so cute and influencer approved

The pros: The ambiance here is good. A nice, fashionable place to sit down and have a drink and a snack. The donuts and drinks themselves are also not bad. I like the pastries of the day to create variety. I also like their large menu list as well. It's good to know that I can get a Korean Corn down the street. The guys who work here are also very sweet and know their menu fairly well. I also really like that this place closes as late as it does. Not a lot of places on that strip tend to open late so it's nice to have the option. The Cons: If some of you were wondering, the Mochido pastries themselves are not gluten free. The only gluten items they have are most of the drinks. Not the worst thing, but something to consider if you were hoping they only used rice flour. They tend to run out of items fast. If you go later in the day, most of their stuff tends to be gone. They do not have an option to control the sugar levels in their drinks. Again, not the worst thing. But as someone with blood sugar issues, it's something that I always love as an option. Parking in this area is always a pain. This place is good. Not great for me, but it's probably amazing for those that don't have the same particular needs that I have. We need more places like this for the younger crowd, I'm glad it's here.

Worth every Penny. Mango Chamoy drink, donut, and two Hk Hotdog/Mozerella. The drink was sweet and spicy very delicious. The donut was sweet and rich chocolate very fresh. The dogs/Mozerella is amazing we got a regular one and one covered in Hot Cheetos and both were delicious. I think what made the food taste even better is the spicy Mayo, my gf ended up ordering a third one to go and covered it in the spicy Mayo.

Very nice vibe. Simple and unique decor. The staff were friendly and made a nice exchange when our coffee had something wrong. We appreciate the great customer service. Try the Korean Corn Dog and Korean Corn with Cheese when you visit. There is a unique and tasty drink selection on the easy to read menu. Plenty of parking since this is a corner location in a usually busy market spot.

There was a lot of business, so it was very lively. However as people are leaving/ the staff is not cleaning the tables so I had to clean up my table on my own. Not very happy about that. My matcha drink tasted like just milk, I included a picture. Also, it wasn't mixed, which is weird Because I had added a cream brûlée foam, so when I mixed it... it was everywhere instead of just on top. Super disappointing. I was super excited about this place, maybe next time I will just try the Korean food.

That's why I'm bummed to be writing this. Unfortunately, today was terrible. It was stacked, the establishment was incredibly hot and miserable to wait, then we ordered, and the machine was taking forever to run the card through. Then, once it's all said and done, the employee tells us he forgot to charge us for the donut holes. I come here every week for my kids, and they know us well. Seems odd to me to make us wait to run a card again for donut holes they forgot. If I hadn't allowed my 3 year old to eat one already, then I would have handed them back. One other gripe is that they overcharge for basic donuts but I didn't mind paying because the customer service was amazing, and the donuts are bomb. Now, I don't think so. The fact that the employee knew he didn't charge us, stood there dumbfounded as he fussed around as he was trying to decide if it was worth charging us the $2.99. I spend probably $100 a month between my kids and events, I hope the $2.99 was worth it.
