In comparison to other reviews, we too were there on the same day as some, but later in the afternoon and all I can say is you will NEVER find a restaurant who just opened 3 days prior running at 100%. Yes, they were a little chaotic but you could tell they were busting their butts to do their best and accommodate everyone. It's a young staff learning something new. At least they're working and not sitting at home dependent on others. The place was packed. And, yes I'm sure there were plenty of messed up orders, but tell me of one NEW restaurant that NEVER makes mistakes in the first few weeks of opening. Bakersfield is booming with Boba places and I'm all for it. Especially when you can get mochi donuts and/or a Mochi dog with your drink. Suggestion. If you don't know what you want from the minute you walk in the door, grab one of the many menus laying out on the counters and take a few to look it over. I watched so many different kinds of drinks go out that day, and not one person was dissatisfied. From the moment they popped that straw in the sealed top and then took their first sip, you see the satisfaction in their smile. We were a little intimidated to try something different so we stuck with our usual Thai Tea Boba. Delicious. We also ordered two Mochi dogs. A regular with potato topping and a half-n-half. Half hotdog, half mozzarella cheese with a potato topping. When the girl taking our order said it would be about a 30 minute wait we figured "Oh well! We've never had one so we'll wait." Was not even 15 mins and our order was ready. Worth it too. The crunchy rice dough is better than your average corn dog drenched in cornmeal. Both were tasty!! We also got four mochi donuts. They were going fast! Those came out immediately after ordering. We got a lemon cheesecake, a raspberry, a carrot cake, and a blueberry glaze. We opted to wait to eat them later in the evening and I'm glad we did. We tried them all. I absolutely will be back for more. Not your ordinary donut. I thought they were light, super fluffy and tasted just like what we ordered. The rice dough mixture is what I like. Not heavy like a typical donut. The raspberry was my favorite. The owner came out to check on people and was so apologetic for how things were going. We told him we were fine and that we completely understood. He was super nice and professional. He wanted his customers happy. The place is cute. Decorated with that little bit of Japanese flair. The staff is friendly. Parking sucks, but it's always sucked in that little strip mall. If you think it's bad now, wait until that new restaurant comes in. If you're looking for something out of the ordinary, give them a try. It's Bakersfield. Not LA. We need out of the ordinary here!! I was extremely excited to try this place because I absolutely love boba. The decor of the place is really cute and I was surprised how large the menu was. I decided to try a house milk tea with oat milk and my boyfriend got a Thai milk tea with boba. The staff wasn't very friendly and as we looked through the menu they never engaged with us. The boba was sadly very bad and my drink really tasted weird. I sadly had to throw it away because I couldn't finish it. My boyfriend's drink wasn't very good either and the bobas texture wasn't the best. We definitely won't come back for boba but the donuts look very good here. read more

Whenever I went to Visalia we made sure to stop at mochido. Thankfully we now have it in Bakersfield! I love this place. The donut options are always exciting. Today I tried a lemon cheesecake and it was so delicious. My favorite thing to get here is their hot Cheeto Koran dog. It takes a minute to make so we waited a little which is not problem with me. This location is much bigger than their original location which is awesome and their decor is so cute. The only down side of this location is the parking. Good luck. read more

They saw us do a self order on the kiosk and didn't bother to check when we finished, we ended up waiting double the amount for our food and drinks because they didn't see that we had ordered already! Was one of the over dozen customers waiting outside their door on their first day of business. My wife heard they were opening, and she sent me over to purchase Korean corn dogs. Not many places offer them in Bakersfield. We always have to go to L.A in order to satisfy our cravings. Got to say that the inside of the shop looks great! Great photo opps around the shop that are instagram worthy. They gave us all a menu while we were waiting outside for the shop to open. So, I already knew what I wanted to order by the time I got inside. Have to say, that it was slow. Only had about 4 customers ahead of me, but it took about 15 minutes before it was my turn. Customers had to order at their kiosk. Orders by a staff member were not taken at the register. When it was my turn to order at the kiosk, I noticed that the menu was not accurate and then they had to reboot the kiosk. So in a nice employee tried to ring up my order at the register. Then the register froze. By this time, the kiosk was updated and up and running again. I was able to complete my order in less than a minute on it. In the meantime, the line behind me had grown to a couple dozen folks. They probably thought I was holding up the line, and not knowing it was really caused by technical difficulties. LOL!! I ordered 3 different Korean Corn Dogs each with a different topping. One Korean corn dog had all beef. Another one was filled with only cheese. The third one was half cheese and half beef. For the toppings, I chose hot Cheetos for one, ramen for another, and potatoes for the third corn dog. The condiments I asked for on the side. The Korean Corn dogs all tasted delicious. The batter on their corn dogs are not like American corn dogs. Very chewy and not crispy. My favorite toppings were the hot Cheetos and the potatoes. My favorite fillings were the cheese only. Surprised my wife with one of their drinks. Got the Ube Cloud with Crystal boba. She loved it, and said it was one of the best bobas drinks she's had anywhere. High compliments for her cause she's had boba drinks all over California. The Mochi donuts looked great. A little crunchy on the outside and chewy in the inside is how I like my mochi donuts. Their donuts that day were not like that. Still tasted fine, but I prefer those made at Sugar Twist when they offer them. I am glad that Mochido is here. Went to check this place out since I've been patiently waiting for them to open. As a new business I expect a few hiccups like no napkins but rolled paper towels available and working in timing. We got there about 10-15 minutes after they opened and glad we did since by the time we left after eating they were getting busy. My husband and I both order the same thing, K-dog that was half dog/half mozzarella with potatoes on the outside. We chose different condiments that were self-serve. The spicy mayo was delicious. We also order a ham and cheese waffle and were told it would be a little extra wait since they were still mixing up the batter. I also ordered a honeydew milk tea that was delicious. Everything came out hot, fresh, and delicious. Being that I have an allergy to corn this is the tastiest alternative since the batter is made with rice flour for the K-dog. I'm so glad this place is finally open! We need a place that reliably serves mochinuts here in Bakersfield. I got to try a few things off of the menu and enjoyed them all. First the cheese korean corndog with crunchy ramen is like a big mozerella stick -- delicious and so much better than the ones in the mall. The mochinuts are a bit more dense than ones I've had in the past, but they're still yummy, especially the ube flavor. And the mochi waffles were SUCH a pleasant surprise--I had never had tried one before, but I think it will be my go-to item here. Overall I have to say the standout item I've tried so far is the Creme Brulee drink with honey boba, which is absolutely delicious and possibly the best boba flavor I've had. I also got the chance to briefly speak with the owner on opening day -- super nice guy with a lot of exciting things planned for our town. After ordering my 2 drinks, I waited about 15 minutes, standing there while having to hear the staff talk loudly about gossip and talk poorly about other staff. I have been to this place a handful of times and I'm barely posting a a review. I keep eating my mochinuts before taking a picture is why!!! I love that they have new flavors every week so it's always a treat when stopping by and seeing what's new. They recently had a pb&j mochinut that was absolutely DELECIOUS!!! I'm not sure if they still have the crème brûlée mochinut on the menu anymore but the waffle itself was yummy! I love the dirty horchata and I always ask for my drink to be made at the lowest sweetness level because I find the drinks too sweet. I've also tried the Korean kdogs and it was good.
