Went in Sunday afternoon, around 1pm and there was no line! The staff was very friendly :) imI appreciate that their flavors change weekly because you don't get tired of seeing the same flavors all the time, so it's cool that they give us a variety I had the guava, funnel cake, tiramisu, choco banana, ube and original! the texture of the donut is definitely similar to mochi, and it has a nice crunch on the outside, for me, it was the perfect bite! guava does NOT taste anything like guava BUT it was still a tasty flavor! Everyone else enjoyed their donut and the flavor of it I also had the Vietnamese iced coffee! My iced coffee barely had any ice in it and I was not a big fan of the taste of it, it gave me almost like a copper taste in my mouth, i probably wouldn't try that again overall my experience there was great! I will be coming by every other month to try other flavors! :) read more

Mochinut is delicious!! I have to admit it was difficult to pick a place to eat over here because every restaurant had the area smelling goodt. Lol My daughter opted for Mochinut and baby.... They did not disappoint. I wanted to try every flavor of their delicious donuts but unfortunately the way my body is set up I was on restriction from sweets. You can only purchase a half dozen or full dozen of the donuts. No singular purchases. I wasn't mad at that. I figured they saved me from buying everything. However, what we did try had just enough sweetness to fulfill my void. We ended up ordering the whole mozzarella and the potato mozzarella. I was nervous being it was filled with all this cheese. My relationship with cheese is still being established and this felt like a full commitment. I went for it. My daughter had the potato and was in heaven. My first bite of the whole mozzarella was a delicious experience. It was crispy, slightly sweet and combined with the mozzarella I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious this was. I have to admit. I couldn't eat more than a few bites and that's only because the cheese was cheesing and my stomach said enough. lol but this place is definitely a complete vibe. I loved the set up and the vibe. The guy upfront was super chill and took our order quickly. Our food was out within 5-10 minutes. I loved it. Definitely would come back for my dozen of donuts. Those things were too beautiful not to come back and give them a try. read more

Wow, I am so pleased that there's a store that sells mochi donut around Cerritos. I was excited to try out these donuts. These were freshly cooked and I loved that it's served hot! The flavors were subtle but decent enough. I like getting the original with no flavor or sugar, so I don't feel guilty! Additionally this store sells corn dogs! It is a must try. I wanted a Korean corn dog, thought I would try this place out. The customer service was ok, the batter was crispy outside but thick and gooey inside. I've had better at other places but the hot dog inside was good. The mochinuts were soft and had a light sweetness that I wanted. Wish I could have tried only one. read more

Rating is solely on the mochinut itself as I didn't visit the location since my wonderful neighbor brought these to me by surprise! I'm not even certain what flavors I had but there were 6 neat looking donuts and I'm guessing based on looks and flavor that I had green tea, guava & pistachio. The other 3 were I think taro or ube, pretzel (is that a flavor?) and bacon. I wasn't sure what to expect but my neighbor said these were all the rage and that people wait in long lines to get their hands on these new style donuts. I loved the shape and the fact you could easily share these by pulling off a little "ball"- this allowed my daughter and husband to taste too lol. I wasn't super impressed and my initial thought was "chewy donut". I don't particularly like my donuts chewy- I like fluffy, airy donuts. And I like mochi quite a bit but I think mochi is something that should stand alone due to its uniqueness. That being said, I don't know how much these cost but I'd much rather have my mochi as mochi and my donut as a donut- the combination isn't something I particularly think is incredible. read more

I had been wanting to try this place for a while, finally went yesterday. I really wanted to try their corn dogs so I went ahead and got a half mozzarella and half sausage. Price was $4.50 for one. It was freshly made so it was nice, warm and crispy. I really enjoyed it but it was nothing special. Now for the mochi donuts, I wish they sold them individually. I ended up buying half a dozen. Got the ube, chocolate, churro, and strawberry. They were all good but my fave was definitely strawberry. Staff was nice and friendly, answered my questions about the donuts, would go back to try the boba drinks. read more

Love the chewy and spongy texture of the mochi donuts. I always go to the store near my house in Garden Grove for mochinuts, but as soon as I knew the store in Cerritos has ube dough for that weekends, we did not mind to drive 20 mins to get these treats. I am a huge fan of this purple ube dough and set high expectation, fortunately, the mochinuts are amazing. Not overly sweet or oily, the sweetness of the chewy dough balance well with the glaze. We really enjoys the treats. The store is small, but they let people wait outside for their order to avoid the store of being packed. The waiting time is short gladly for the order to be ready. We will come back to get more interesting flavors. read more

I know during the pandemic restaurants lost a lot of money and they have to recoup sales somehow but charging $16 for 6 friggon donuts is a bit ridiculous. It wasn't even hot?! No thanks, too many other reasonable places around to give my business to, it is not that serious. Pass. read more

One of the few and rare places they has mochi doughnuts in LA. They have three different flavors each day. The part that sucks about this is that their menu board is a day late. What is on display next to the register are the flavors they have for that day. When I went there was chocolate, strawberry, and peanut butter. I am not a fan of chocolate so I tried strawberry and peanut butter. Peanut butter was decent..not too heavy on the flavor if that is your taste. Strawberry had better flavor. However both doughnuts had a good soft texture on the inside. With mochi (poi) doughnuts it is best to eat them fresh. The longer you wait to eat them they harden. Overall, decent. I'd love to come back if I'm in the area to see what flavors they have. read more

We saw this place after having lunch in the same center and decided to get dessert. They serve mochi doughnuts, hot dogs & cheese on a stick, tea, etc. A lot of people inside were enjoying items on sticks more so than anything else. We bought a half dozen mochinuts of assorted flavors, as well as tea with boba. The tea comes in an awesome container. So cute! The mochinuts were good. Some of the flavors are quite unique. I think I enjoyed the coconut one the most, because I am a fan of coconut desserts. If in the area, we may return for a quick sweet treat. And I'd be interested in trying some of their other items. read more

My little sister and I were craving corn dogs after watching someone eat them on YouTube, usually we go to the corn dog place at the Source in Buena Park but since we were close to the Cerritos Mall we decided to try this place out. Very delicious and always made to order! The staff is very friendly as well. We always get ours with sugar, ketchup, and mustard. And unlike the store in the Source this place had no line, but maybe it's also because we got there only a little after they opened for the day. read more

Family & I had been wanting to try this place for a long time since we visit this area frequently for the surrounding restaurants, - first time we came they were out of donuts at 6pm on a Friday... ok a donut shop with no donuts. lol Second time we made it around & you have to buy half a dozen... yes half a dozen, for 16 $ or a dozen for 30$. Then we got a Ube milk tea & Brown Sugar Milk Tea which the Ube taste like creamy milk with a splash of flavor & well the brown sugar is just milk with brown sugar so there's that. The workers are okay, we were greeted, no what can I help you with, more like stare at you until you're ready to order It's going to be a big no for us. Not going back to spend 28$ on that. The cool thing is they have boba here too as well as Korean corn dogs. I had seen a lot of low reviews for this spot so I wanted to try it out for myself. I came in to buy 3 donuts but unfortunately they only sell them by the half dozen or dozen. This is the story of how I ended up with 6 donuts for one person. They didn't have a ginormous selection of flavors, I saw a caramel, strawberry and a regular glaze in addition to the ube, cookies and cream, and sugar donuts that I got. My first time trying a mochi donut! They are so chewy & good! The glazed Mochinuts are on the sweet side but have great flavor. The flavors they had when I went were melona, red velvet, and churro. I enjoyed the churro the most because it was not overly sweet! They are on the pricey side - $7.5 for 3 donuts and the least amount you can get is 3. The ordering system is not very organized. There's one line where people wait for their orders and another where you order, but they are not clearly marked. Additionally, they call your number for your order but have no speaker system outside, making it difficult to hear when your order is ready - especially if you are trying to stay away from others. The place is very popular & I did notice some people not wearing masks outside after they ordered. The staff wears masks and I think gloves as well, can't remember. I do think that the workers are a bit sloppy with the glazing the donuts because of how busy they are/how many orders they get. read more

I had just finished eating at the Ramen place next to this spot; great Ramen place btw. Had a sweet tooth and thinking it was a Mochi house, decided to check this place out. First impression just does it for me. I try to be fair on these reviews, when I have to I write amazing reviews I do them genuinely and most of the time I try not to be negative yet more of a 'constructive critic': you be the judge , check out my reviews. Anyhow.....Walking in, the staff looks miserable, almost as if they are bothered by working here. Nobody made eye contact nor greeted me. What really killed it was that you can't just buy 1, 2 , 3... donuts like an ordinary donut shop. You are required to buy 1/2 a dozen or a dozen! I thought this was appalling. Think about it; you going to McDonald's and not being able to buy a 6pc nugget but instead requiring to buy a 20pcs without being that hungry! What type of a donut place tells you - "you can't just buy one donut"! Like what if I didn't want a full dozen? Do you just reject a customer? Unbelievable! My friend just had a "brilliant" idea to take some back to her kids. I thought I treat her kids to donuts. I asked for a full dozen on their top flavor only to hear the employee say they were out of stock (6:30pm). Give me a break! So I am stuck with a dozen donuts to get what's left over?!? At this point I didn't want to show my frustration so I agree to buy whatever they have left over. I get home and tried the "donuts" only to feel that It was a total waste of 30$!! donuts that were disgusting. Never will I again visit this place nor will I speak good about it. Just not an establishment I see a bright future for. I would've gone to Yum Yum donuts and pay 2$ for a couple of donuts and been a happy camper. Sooooo good! I had been craving this place for a very long time. We had eaten here once before the pandemic began and although we enjoyed the food, we hadn't returned until now. We were able to place our order and the food was ready soon after. It's made fresh, so there is a tiny wait while it cooks, but nothing unreasonable and it's well worth that small wait. Our corn dogs were cooked perfectly and had the best crispy light crunch when bitten into. The flaming hot Cheetos on was good, but the texture wasn't as crispy as the original battered ones. But all in all we had an awesome experience and can't wait to return! read more

Pretty good spot! Went in about 3pm on a Sunday so it was a little full. Boba was really good and rich! Comes in an awesome container unfortunately though it's single use :-( They kept calling orders randomly numbered which is the reason for the 4 stars. Do recommend!!!! read more

Mochi donuts here are decent and satisfy my occasional cravings but the main downsides are that you can only buy them by the half dozen/dozen and it is not cheap. If you're around Torrance or Irvine, I'd go to Modo instead cause I think their flavors taste a lot better and less artificial. But if you're in the Cerritos area and don't want to go out of your way - mochinut will do. read more

Not sure why this location has such a low Yelp star rating but my particular visit was great. I didn't order any mochi donuts rather I ordered rice dogs. Now this wasn't my cup of tea in the past nothing beats a good Ole fashioned corndog but I have to say they will grow on you and when they do, you'll crave them. They are so crunchy and delicious you'll understand what I'm writing about. The original without sugar is my go to, follow that up with the bacon rice dog then the potato rice dog. The latter I would prefer the whole inside being a hotdog versus half cheese and half hotdog but it's definitely doable. The guys behind the counter were friendly and helpful. Always has been a good visit and luckily no line. read more

This place is often busy but they offer such good snack options ranging from boba to Korean corn dogs to mochi donuts. The corn dogs are always crispy (get them with sugar!) and the boba is always nice and chewy. The mochi donut flavors change weekly but they offer a lot of unique flavors. Although, you can only buy them by half a dozen or a dozen, rather than individually which is a lot when you just want a snack. All in all, I love this place, it always satisfies my cravings! read more

Review is for Chungchun, which is also located in the same location as Mochinut. Chungchun was the first place that I ever tried Korean Corn Dogs and I just fell in love with it right after. I tried the Original, Half and Half, Mozzerella, and their new Flaming Hot Mozzarella. I loved all of them except for the Flaming Hot one. For some reason that one wasn't as crunchy as the rest so it didn't really hit it for me. Everything else though was amazing. Definitely add sugar to all of them! Total game changer. The first time I went there they asked me if I wanted sugar on it and I thought it was weird and said no. Boy was I wrong. I missed out on something that was amazing, so please do yourself a favor and add sugar lol. I also like that the corn dogs were pretty cheap in price. The Mochinuts cost more than these. I usually go during lunch time so I never really experienced a long wait. read more

I am a traditional type of guy, but I like all kinds of specialty donuts not just the traditional classic types. So I thought that I would really enjoy Mochinut. I like donuts, and I like mochi. So I should enjoy a fusion of them both, right? Unfortunately after this first visit to Mochinut, I was left underwhelmed. I did like the Korean hot dogs that were also sold here, but that is a separate review for the other place. So, you need to order a minimum of 6 mochi donuts. I had no problem with that cause I love donuts. My wife and I chose the following flavors to share: Thai Tea (2) Banana Chocolate Original (2) Cream Cheese Thai Tea was okay. Banana Chocolate was decent. Cream Cheese was a disappointment. Did not even taste remotely like cream cheese. Original flavor I actually thought was pretty good. Would not mind getting that one again. Anyways, I'm glad to have finally tried Mochi donuts. Will return someday to try more. Many of our family members like them so they come here quite a bit. Look forward to trying more flavors in the future. Til then, it is a 3 star venue for me. By the way, I liked the fact that they were following all health and safety protocols while we were there. I am so obsessed with their corn dogs. I have tried many of their different combos of corn dogs and my favorite has to be the potato mozzarella one because it has the perfect crunch to it and an amazing cheese pull! I also tried their hot cheeto mozzarella corn dog but for some reason that was the only one that was not crispy but it was still delicious. I recommend the corn dogs 100%, as of for the donuts they are pretty good but the last time I went they said I had to buy a half a dozen minimum which I didn't like because I wasn't initially planning on buying 6 donuts as I had never had mochi donuts before and didn't know if I would like them. read more

My family and I absolutely love it here! Especially for my parents, this place brings back memories of Korea. However.... today's visit was VERY disappointing. We waited for about 30 minutes to get to the front of the line and they say "we don't have any corn dogs at the moment". We went back and asked if they were done for tonight or we could just wait. They said they had no more corn dogs. They could've put up a sign on the window or something... but it was okay because it's not the end of the world and we can get something else. BUT after we got food from Sauced Up... 15 minutes later we come out and saw three different groups eating corn dogs... Ummm... you guys didn't have to LIE. You guys could've told us that you were busy and was no longer taking orders. There's a huge difference. VERY DISAPPOINTED. But no hate on the food. read more

I always go to Mochinut before they were renamed Mochinut. Anyways their Korean corndogs are always super good! Don't forget to add sugar in your corndog, it's the best tasting way to eat it that way with some spicy mayo. They increased their price with almost everything but still worth grabbing some Korean corndogs. However, the boba is misleading as it did not come canned, as I thought it was going to be. It was just in a 16 ounce plastic cup. The boba was okay, not the best but it's alright. I ordered the thai tea and there was no sweetness. I loved my visit here! The wait isn't too long and they have a lot of choices - the only thing is that you can't buy individual but I honestly don't see how anyone can even stop at one. I wanted to try the rice dog and wasn't disappointed. It's hard to mess up something like that and they did it well. They gave condiments separately and there were two tables to sit at. We arrived just before a rush and left when there was a line out the door so if that doesn't say enough as to why you should visit this place, I don't know what will. Give it a try! read more

I came in like I usually do and of course I got the same service from the same three people.... today there was a redhead another girl with dark hair that was wearing a bandana and a gentleman we came in first before a little rush and we're literally there for like what seemed like 15 or 20 minutes waiting for a couple corn dogs on a stick and a coffee... the girls proceeded to go in the back and laugh super loud and talk all the whole time we were there which is fine but it was just like non-stop even when more customers came in they were just having too much fun back there not to mention playing with each other's hair and clothes and face and then I was like please please please at least wash your hands after just watching them because I am a manager of a food restaurant myself and it was just really gross to see them scratching and fixing each other's hair and then proceeding to touch my food thank God they used it cleared glove or I definitely would have said something then I probably should have anyways but I mean... anyways not to mention finally our order was ready my friend goes to grab it they hand us a wrong box and then the girl forgets to of our items has to go back and make the coffee like what were you doing in the whole time honestly...get it together already read more

I love mochi donuts. I have been wanting to try mochinut for a long time now because of their unique flavors. My family and I were visiting family for the holiday, so I decided to stop by. I ordered 2 tiramisu, 2 matcha, and two original. They are obviously generic to MoDo, but still pretty good. I like that they had the original in sugar instead of just the plain donut. The matcha had drizzles on it (white chocolate maybe). However, my biggest disappointment was that they messed up on the tiramisu. It was printed on the receipt as 2 tiramisu flavor, but they gave me 2 cranberry cheesecake flavor instead. I admit that it was partially my fault for not double checking and only noticing when I finally got home. I tried it and didn't like it so I gave it to my mom instead. I really wanted to try the tiramisu so missing out on it kind of ruined my mood. I am always checking mochinut social media for daily flavors at their locations near my aunts' house, so I will probably just go to any location that has tiramisu next time when I visit. Eager to experience what they had to offer, we decided to go for a half dozen, selecting a variety of flavors: original, strawberry, Nutella, and red velvet. But, unfortunately, the donuts themselves left us feeling a tad underwhelmed. It seemed like they had been sitting in the display cases for centuries, lacking that fresh allure. The pillowy, mochi-like interior we were expecting was absent, replaced by a surprising hardness. Even the frosting, instead of being soft and inviting, was cracking off. To add to our disappointment, the service didn't quite live up to our expectations. It tasted freshly made and was soft yet still flaky, just how a croissant should be. Most donut shops nowadays don't seem to make their croissants as flaky. It was also generously filled with ham. Again, a lot of places I've been to lately are pretty stingy with the filling. The croissant was delicious, and I would definitely order it again. One day I'll have to come back and try the donuts. Knead closes at 1pm on weekdays (Monday closed, till 9pm Sat & Sun), and being approximately 30 minutes to close, two boxes of assorted donuts were left to choose from. Knead's Dubai Chocolate donut was a whopping $8! I tried to haggle the price down, both individually or with another donut, to no avail. No way was I planning to buy a whole box, either. Prices vary around $6-$8. Aware prices have gone up everywhere, that's still too much, in my summation, for donuts. In addition, not being a big donut guy, I don't foresee being a frequent customer. Knead Donuts does sell beautifully crafted donuts, which would satisfy even the most critical sugar junkie, but with premium pricing attached to each donut, can't justify the money spent, for my needs.

The Bixby Knolls sandwich is loaded with bacon, toasted properly, and the bagel is fresh with an even cheddar and jalapeño topping. It's exactly what you'd expect. The Lakewood location is the complete opposite. Even after asking for extra bacon, I was told they only use three strips of bacon, and the sandwich still came with barely any meat. On top of that, they don't toast the sandwich when preparing it, which leaves the bagel tasting stale and takes away from the overall experience. The cheddar jalapeño bagels are also inconsistent, with uneven toppings and noticeably lower quality. I've been to the Lakewood location three separate times hoping it was just an off day, but it's been the same result every time. Meanwhile, I've never had to ask for anything special at the Bixby Knolls location--they simply make a better sandwich every visit. I was told the locations are owned separately, and if that's true, it definitely shows. I hope the Lakewood owner spends some time at the Bixby Knolls store because the difference in quality, preparation, and consistency is night and day.
