First, the location is easy to access and very inviting when you walk by. I ventured in to take a look, and WOW--I was blown away by the size of each donut! They're definitely bigger than the ones I've had before. There were so many flavors to choose from, including some really yummy and interesting combinations. I prefer donuts that aren't overly sweet, so I was debating between the Nutella and brown sugar. After chatting with the owner, I decided on the brown sugar, and I'm so glad I did! The sweetness wasn't overpowering, and I could really enjoy the crispy exterior and chewy interior. The shop is open late--I actually noticed it last night and wanted to come back during the day to try it. I'm glad I waited because after a full dinner, I ended up devouring the entire donut instead of just having a taste. Now I know exactly where to order from when I need to buy gifts for friends! Easily a 5/5. These donuts were scrumptious!! We got the strawberry matcha, B3 (banana), lychee raspberry, and ube Vietnamese coffee. I can't say which one was the best because all of them were equally delicious. I'm not a big artificial banana flavor person but the B3 donut really surprised me. Probably the best banana donut I've tasted! The ube coffee smelled pleasant and didn't have an overpowering coffee flavor. So good! Even the matcha donut smelled really nice! I love that they didn't make the icing overly sweet to combat the earthy flavor of matcha powder. All this to say that you can't go wrong with any donut choice. We used the kiosk to order, which was convenient. The interior is cute too - definitely has the color scheme of a donut shop. We signed up for their rewards program because I have a feeling we'll be back fairly often. Lol. I noticed that some of the flavors in-store weren't listed on the website, so even more incentive to check out what new creations they'll have! They're a little more expensive than your typical donut shop, but considering these are mochi donuts with really unique flavors, I think the price is quite fair. Mochinut is a large franchise with locations all over the country. I know they have two in the Cleveland area, but I believe this is the first one in Columbus. They are fairly new, about a year old maybe. I was finally able to pay them a visit over the weekend and I'm so glad I did. I'm a big mochi fan and I would say mochi donuts come second after mochi ice cream. These definitely hit the spot. For starters, you can find this place right off 5th street, in that busy shopping complex with Five Guys, Buffalo Wild Wings, Oshio, etc. There's parking out front, with even more in the back. The shop itself is playful with lots of color and cute Instagrammable moments. The murals and donuts on the wall certainly make it photogenic. I'll add that the young lady helping me was attentive and friendly. Now, on to the good stuff! I paid $11 for 3 donuts. I went with the lemon yuzu, strawberry Oreo, and turtle (chocolate, caramel, and nuts). All three were pretty to look at and just as delicious. The lemon yuzu was the most flavorful out of the three. You could tell they were all the same donut, just with different toppings. Maybe if the other two had more icing the flavors would have come through more. Nonetheless, they were gone shortly after. While there's a lot of places starting to carry mochi donuts, if I was craving them specifically, I would come back. read more

Stopped in to try mochi donuts for the first time and this place didn't disappoint!! They offer more than just mochi donuts let's just start with that. They have Korean Rice Dogs, Sparkling Ades, Lemonades, Milk Teas, Boba, Popping bubbles and even coffee! I grabbed three mochi donuts to share with my daughter and I also grabbed me a grapefruit orange sparkling ade. The mochi donuts remind me of funnel cake I don't know why or what exactly they consist of but it's definitely not your ordinary donut taste. The fruity pebble toppings and light icing were a nice addition and not overly sweet at all. The grapefruit orange ade was so amazing, I'll have to try more drinks from here. This place is excessively cute and waiting for a cutesy photo op. I absolutely love the decorations and the bright popsy colors. read more

These donuts were so good!! I got 4 different flavors and couldn't pick a favorite as each was unique and delicious. The mochi is crisp on the outside and chewy and moist on the inside. I couldn't get enough of these little rings. The inside of the shop was fun and decorated well. The staff was super friendly and service was fast. It's a cute little store and decorated very bright and fun. There's some parking in front but a bigger lot I nthe back. There's plenty of seats if you wanted to stay there to eat or drink. I got their Strawberry boba and it comes in a "can" cup. It was made well, sweet, and overall pretty good. I looked at their donuts and they looked delicious and the flavors were unique but I didn't end up getting one. I look forward to trying one next time I come back. Location; Super clean small location, and visited for Birthday sweets and it was Theme week for "Wicked" the movie. Treat; The treats were the cutest and decorated perfectly. These are a light twist to a doughnut and very good. I also ordered an iced coffee, which the cold brew was from a barrel through a draft which could be limited but I enjoyed it. We came in pretty close to closing and the staff were still super kind and helpful which I really appreciated. I got the ube Vietnamese coffee mochi donut and it was honestly so good. It was soft, chewy, and really flavorful without being too heavy. We also tried the Thai tea with boba and a strawberry matcha with boba. Both drinks were tasty but definitely on the sweeter side (probably from the boba), so just keep that in mind if you don't love really sweet drinks.
