I came in in hopes of the usual, Make your own pizza place and it is nothing at all what I thought it would be. I had to constantly tell the employees not just one round but multiple rounds of ingredients to my make your own pizza. They were so stingy, nothing compared to other make your pizza places. To top it all off, after continuously asking to add more because the amounts were ridiculous they became so unfriendly, and you could tell by the faces they were making they did not want to assist me anymore. I would never return to this places nor recommend it to anyone, not worth the attitude you receive and defiantly not worth your buck unless you say something and continuously ask like I had too. read more

This food was just OK. I was disappointed in the cleanliness of this place. The floors had not been swept. The bathroom had no seat liners, soap, or paper towels. I told the worker and he said, "OK." We ate on the patio and all tables were filthy. Wrappers were on the ground. I have never had such a bad experience in a restaurant before. Right off the back I noticed the lack of cleaning upon walking in. All the tables were really dirty and all of the workers where in the back playing and joking...my salad was rushed and basically just thrown together & the grilled chicken was actually frozen!!!! A little under a year ago was the first time I came to MOD pizza! I can't forget the first time I went there, the pizza was amazing. I loved that I could build my own pizza with all the toppings I wanted for a very affordable price! I had to go back! My second time at MOD was even better! I was greeted by a young lady named KAYLA who complimented my style of clothes! Haha Ever since I've gone in now Kayla has continued to remain a very sincere and sweet young lady. Awesome Food and Staff! My family ordered take out. u pay for the size and pick as much ingredients as u want. For my "small" salad, I selected so much veggies, meat, and pineapple that it filled a large serving bowl. "Lore" was really cool and he managed to fit it all in my small salad "to go" box. u could choose from speciaty pizzas or make ur own from a variety of artisan meats and vegetables, seasoned red sauce, savory white or pesto sauce... Pizzas with crispy thin crust and these ingredients had been baked quickly and to perfection in their gas fired oven. This was our first time trying MOD Pizza. We will be back for more! read more

Went in the other night around 9 watched one of the employees place his cell phone on a food prep service then proceed to stick his hand in the toppings and make pizza. Cell phones are dirty and should never ne in the food prep area and wearing gloves is a jokr if you touch filthy items and put your dirty glove back in the food. When I see obvious cleanliness concerns right out in front of the customer it makes me wonder whsy is happening in the back. read more

I've seen this place while driving around and have been meaning to try it. I've been to a few of these "build-your-own-pizza" chains before, and I found this place...ok. The service was nice (needs to be a bit more coordinated though. It seemed like some of the people didn't know if they were supposed to be assigned to the register or not). The pizza was kinda on the "average" side (and they make a common mistake of skimping out on the toppings) and I would have appriciated it if they had used REAL garlic strips instead of just sprinkling garlic powder over their pie crust and calling it a day. It's not bad, but with so many places getting onto this "create-a-pizza" business there are better options out there. read more

I REALLY wanted to like this place. The toppings are pretty awesome. And the first time I was here, the service was cool. However, the second time here was a big fat setback. I probably won't even be back again. The first lady that helped us was delightful but after that, we waited about 10 minutes for the second lady on the line to be able to help us. While we were waiting, someone else came from the back and made a pizza randomly then realized they needed help on the line so she just jumped on. But before she started on our pizzas, I noticed her scratching her neck with the same gloves on. In my head, I was praying she was going to change her gloves because I didn't want to be that person that says something and causes a scene. She didn't change em.. After ordering all that we wanted on our pizzas, we finally got to pay. But the woman who was ringing us up actually left us hanging because she saw a friend. I do NOT like this place. We went on a Sunday at noon, pretty empty other then 2 people waiting for there pizza to cook. The girl who was helping us, Sarai, was very sweet and friendly. She explained how the process worked - you pick any topping you want and they prepare it there (like Chipotle). She specifically said you could order all the toppings if you wanted. My boyfriend ordered all the meats and mushrooms. He asked for extra mushrooms and a lady who I assume is the manager because she was wearing a different shirt then the other employees and didn't appear to be doing any real work, came and yelled at us. She went on a rampage about how we can't get everything because the thin crust pizza can't hold it all. I get the logistics of her rant but 1- then don't offer that you can have every topping 2 - he didn't ask for every topping 3 - train your employees to put less of every topping on each pizza if they want so much 4 - don't EVER yell at your customers for no reason. We were so offended, we took our pizzas to go because we didn't want to be in an environment like that. I don't care how good this pizza might be, I will NEVER go back. They have been open for three weeks, and to say that they haven't worked out the kinks yet is to be overly kind. Tonight, for example, they put the order sheets out of order and ended up giving out food to people who just came in. There is nowhere to wait for carry out orders - except on the patio, where you won't hear them call your name. My order was made incorrectly, but I didn't realize that it was mine - because it was wrong - until I stood there and watched every other order handed out. From there, it just got worse. The manager working tonight was rude to me, acting as if I didn't know my own order. When they remade my two pizzas, she didn't even bother to cut it. First review. I never do this but this placed pissed me off enough to write a review. Trying to keep it as nice as possible since I just got out of church service. Heard this place was good. Too bad that was the only good thing about it. Walked up to order and the employee explained how it worked. I was told I could build my own pizza and use any toppings I wanted. So I did except I only made it past the cheese and meat section before the lady in charge stepped in and said I couldn't get anything else. Her explanation was that if I got too many toppings then the crust wouldn't cook right and I wouldn't like my pizza. 1. Let me build my own pizza 2. Don't tell me what I like or don't like I asked for mushrooms and they gave me 4 mushrooms and that was my limit. No other toppings. They were getting ready to put it in the oven and they ended up throwing it away because it was too much and they had to remake it. Such a waste of food. Lady in charge was rude not only to customers but to the employees making the food. Very unprofessional and hostile towards the employees trying to please the customers while dodging rude comments from that lady. Brentwood can do better. Pieology?! Went to MOD Pizza for the first time in Brentwood Saturday with my mom. We knew nothing about MOD or its pizzas. We wanted to try something new. We went in around 9pm and there was a young woman working in the front wearing a hat. She was so friendly, so helpful and so patient from the moment we entered. We took forever as we didn't know what we wanted but she didn't seem frustrated or annoyed or bored. She was engaged with us answering all our questions. Then there was another young woman, blonde, who was helping us toward the end. She was even more pleasant and cheery. From the both of them, our first experience was amazing. On top of that, the pizza is amazing! Wow. We had to go back the next day for more. Unfortunately it was around 5pm so neither of the previous associates mentioned were there. Instead the associates that were there made me feel a bit rushed. I don't feel like they cared much. Definitely a bummer from the previous night. Regardless, I love how thin the crust is. I love how you can put any toppings you want onto the pizza and customize it to be whatever you want. The pizza is extremely tasty. They cook it right on the spot so it's fresh! Just a tip, be careful with making so many pizzas at once because the second time, the pizza seemed like it was in for a little too long. I mean put whatever you want on a pizza and still pay the same price?? It really gets no better than this!! I got a pizza for my grandma, my mom and myself and we all approved. The staff explained everything patiently and without a rush. My mom said this place is always packed so it was good we went on a Saturday afternoon. You basically pick your crust (gluten free was amazeballs), sauce and whatever your little heart desires as a topping. All the ingredients appear fresh (no bruised toppings). You can also do this with a salad. BEWARE: got the blueberry shake (it has graham cracker crumbs on top--yum) this is really dangerous. Our first time here the kids and I went with the Dillon James (mozzarella, asiago, fresh chopped basil, garlic, sliced tomatoes, MOD sauce)... think CPK's Margherita pizza... and the Maddy (classic cheese). We've gone back a couple of other times and have incorporated the Pizza Salad (create your own salad on a warm asiago pizza crust) into our rotation. Endless make your own possibilities. Thinking I'll try my own pesto, mozzarella, spinach, and artichoke combo next time. I like the idea of choosing what you want... without being charged extra for it. Your average tasting pizza restaurant with a good central location. Parking in the busy Trader Joe's parking lot is less than ideal or desirable. The menu and choice of toppings are fairly extensive. I wrote a review of 1 star a few weeks ago. It was based on the dangerous behavior of an employee outside of the store, driving WAY too fast, endangering the lives of others. Within a few days, I heard back from the manager and was more than satisfied with the outcome (the employee was not fired). Based on this singular interaction, I increasing my rating from a 1 to a 3. The manager was responsive, cared and saw a much bigger picture than a knee jerk reaction in which he could have fired the employee. Well done manager. I really like the pizza here. I knocked off one star because they are a little stingy on toppings. I asked for extra garlic and she only added 2 more and still there wasn't even 1 piece of garlic on each piece. I knocked another star off because this is my second time here and there are always a lot of flys. Not enough to make me not eat here but enough that I've noticed it both times. The food is good but the service is so slow. I work nearby and this is NOT the place to come for lunch. I get an hour for lunch it took 35 minutes to get my food! It wasn't even that busy. I ran into this place by accident while doing some work at Peets and im SO glad i did... I was really close to going to Chipotle but then i decided to live life on the wild side and try something different... For someone like me who doesnt eat cheese (yea... i know.. my opinion on pizza is now null/void probably) this place is everything because i love a lot of toppings... but at other places all my toppings would be like $30. Here I can really live....... My pizza was pretty good but 2 small issues are that it was a smidge soggy (might have been because of my choice of toppings and the fact that i had like every veggie on it) and i wish they would cut up the onions. I've been to a couple of Mod pizzas, and this is by far the worst location. I've been here three times due to groups wanting to go here and every time was the same. The pizzas are ok and cheap, but that's the only upside. The place is filthy. Absolutely swarming with flies, and there's pizza crumbs/bits of topping all over every table and the floor. If you want to sit down to eat there, you're going to have to clean your own table, and the outdoor patio stinks like garbage/urine. Seriously. The staff is rude, slow, and doesn't seem to care about anything. The shakes are just soft serve with some toppings crammed in them, which I wouldn't mind if they made even a cursory attempt to mix them together. I tried their "featured" Oreo shake and the girl who made it literally said she didn't know how, then handed me a weirdly layered mishmash of soft serve vanilla, giant oreo bits that would never fit up a straw, and the cup was smeared with melted soft serve. Didn't wow me. I like the idea of being able to put whatever toppings as you want on a pizza. But, as I asked toppings to be added, only little portions were added each time. Finally when I got it how I liked, after it was baked, it came out soggy. = ( It didn't seem to be too loaded. But, perhaps the staff had a hard time gauging how long to cook it compared to non-loaded pizzas. For the price/value, I'd do something like Round Table. But, if you're calorie conscious, perhaps MOD's the way to go. If there is a line, yea, it's going to take you 25 minutes before you're getting your meal. read more

This was the worst MODS pizza my family has ever been to. The service is the absolute worst nothing but teenagers standing around talking. They would rather talk to each other then pay attention to what we wanted. We felt like they were just there to hangout and not help customers. Been meaning to try this place for awhile now and decided to switch up the usual Friday Night Pizza spot. Similar spot and same concept as Pieology and Blaze Pizza, a personal pizza made your way and fast! How can you not love a place like this. I rate these places on Quality, Quantity, Customer Service, Efficiency, Cleanliness, The Staff, and The Overall experience. After my first time at MOD tonight, I give this place a 1. There is definitely room for improvement. I decided to order online and pick up, 6pm on a Friday night...it was very busy. I ordered the basic base and added Pepperoni, Sausage, Olives, Mushrooms, Gorgonzola, Spinach, Roasted Asparagus, and added fresh Arugula after it came out of the oven. This pizza was missing Asparagus and I found Sun Dried Tomatoes hidden in my pizza. My boyfriend's pizza had a few of each ingredient ordered plus Pineapple...we didn't order Pineapple. Get your orders right MOD! Online or In Person, you need consistency. The crust is incredibly thin and not very flavorful, the toppings were pretty skimpy, and the customer service was OK. Not impressed. Blaze Pizza is by far way better, with Pieology following. MOD is not in the same category. I feel ripped off and still hungry. I'm not sure I'll be returning to this restaurant. read more

Super thin crispy crust the way pizza should be. Pizza came out fast (less than 4 mins). Nice beer selection and they're also cheap. One gripe is the bathroom faucets they're the gold awful ones you have to hold down while washing one hand at a time. Overall I'm a fan. read more
