We stopped by this place looking for something to eat after our long bike ride. Young folks working there were very friendly, we had two thick crust custom made pizza. Hubby went with standard, pepperoni, mushrooms and onion. I did fully vegan pizza with dairy free cheese, vegan sausage and plenty of veggies! I was in town and thought about trying MOD Pizza for the 1st time. Walked in and stated to the employee this was my 1st time here and what was the premise for ordering a pizza. The employee blankly looked at me and said nothing. Looking at the board I ordered a pizza then asked about the other toppings in front of us. She still didn't say a word to me and left me kinda lost so I asked are all the toppings I want included. Finally I got a response from her so I added a few more toppings. Once the pizza was in the oven the people who were making the pizzas all congregated in what I assume was the break area and they left the guy making the pizza to finish the order. Once the pizza was done he set it on the counter and said your all set. At this point I'm thinking to myself I could just walk out because he thought I already paid. This was my first time trying MOD pizza and I was pleasantly surprised with how good the ambiance and food were. The dine-in is a whole new experience it has a really clean spacious sunny day look which elevated my experience. The staff were very friendly and didn't rush me through the menu as I looked through options. I landed on the Dillon James pizza and my friend went for the Caspian pizza. We then had the chance to add quite some specifications to the pizza with no additional costs like extra red sauce, cheese and got our dipping sauces. I LOVE how they make the pizza in front of you taking your instructions into account which makes your order perfectly customized to your taste leaving little room for error. The waiting time was less than 10 minutes. I also got a blackberry lemonade which was quite delightful. My pizza turned out great but my friend's was a bit too overloaded with barbeque sauce. I loved my pizza to bits the crust was great and perfectly cooked it wasn't oily like a lot of pizzas are. My friend couldn't finish his (only the last slice of a Mega pizza) it was all sauce at that point but he really liked the crust. I know a lot of people prefer the "create your own" pizza but I like my pizza simple and you can never go wrong with that. This is a really good place to go for a quick and delicious lunch. The ingredients are pretty good quality and the service is relatively quick. However as far as "make it yourself" pizza chains go, I'd say Mod is still a step below Pieology. Keto/ Low Carb Folks: Mod doesn't really offer a lot of low-carb options (aside from salads of course), so it might not be worth a visit unless you can't get of it. read more

After I wrote my last review, MOD Pizza contacted me to apologize for the disappointing service provided by their staff and to send me a gift card. I finally made it back there today for lunch, and I'm so glad that the service has gotten way better! Maybe I just went on an off day last time. I was greeted by a couple of the employees when I walked in, and the person taking my order didn't rush me at all. She was very friendly and asked if I wanted to make any modifications to my order. Then, the staff member who added my pesto drizzle did so perfectly. She didn't dump it on like the person who helped me last time. Be sure that you read these reviews carefully. Some people enjoyed their pizza. Most, enjoyed the ambiance. However, when you sift through the reviews, whenever a customer receives the wrong toppings, the wrong order etc. They were charged to fix the problem. Even if it was clearly a mistake made by an employee. They forgot half of our order for a delivery, refused to come back out the deliver it, and still haven't refunded us. Order the pizza and cross your fingers that an employee doesn't make a mistake. Because they will not fix it. You will be on the hook with your own time and money. read more

This was overall a bit messy for a MOD Pizza. The prep area needed a little clean up as did the tables. I love that you can get adult beverages at MOD and the pizza is great! With MOD Pizza's popping up left and right it must be good and it is! MOD is gluten friendly which I know is important to many people. The concept is quick customizable thin crust pizzas made right in front of you with fresh ingredients. Think Chipotle or Subway. They have a menu of different pizzas and salads you can choose from or you can go off script and go down the line choosing your toppings. I thought the pizza turned out great and the staff was so friendly and cheerful! It is a new restaurant, but they do a good job keeping it very clean. I was pleasantly surprised to find they also serve a few different types of bottled beer. I will be back! Great spot to bring kids and reasonable prices. read more

MOD Pizza is the Jimmy John's of personal pizza places. My first impressions of this location are one of jam-packedness. Every time I drive by, I see a long line. The place is obviously a hit. We visited just before the dinner rush and came because we had gift cards from Christmas that needed to be used. We were working with $35 and didn't even come close to spending it all. The experience is one that will make any pizza lover go crazy with joy. Simply, you pay for the size of pizza, not the amount of toppings. You could literally load up your pie with every topping they offer and still pay the same price. It's a thin crust pizza that takes less than 10 minutes to make. We have had Mod Pizza in Canton and loved it. Tonight we drove 20 minutes further from our destination to have pizza at the Brighton location. We arrived a few minutes prior to 10:00 pm with a store listed closing time of 11:00. After waiting in line and ordering, then the manager announced that now only taking take out orders so ended up canceling. with an hour to go and a half empty restaurant, this was ridiculous and poor management. if they were going to cut off service that early, it should have beef said up front, not after standing in line and ordering. The pizza may be great but the customer service leaves much to be desired. read more

The food was okay but I probably will not go back. If there is a pizza place in town, I have probably been to it unless it is new. My favorite pizza place right now is Blaze Pizza which is the same concept as this restaurant. I ordered a 6 inch mini pepperoni pizza here at MOD and I spent $6.65 and got 4 tiny slices. When I go to Blaze Pizza I get an 11 inch pepperoni pizza for $7.95 and I get 6 large slices. The value for the money is just not good at MOD. Also the dough on the basic pizza is thicker at Blaze and much more flavorful. The quality of the pizza sauce and the toppings are also better at Blaze. This is of course just my opinion, but save your money and go to Blaze Pizza instead. read more

Last night, after an event at 10:30 and being very hungry we decided to eat at Mod Pizza because it was one of the only places still open, and because we love their pizza. When we were finishing eating our pizza, almost at closing time, a girl started to stack chairs next to our table aggressively and loudly, letting us know it was time to get out. I know that specially teenagers working in restaurants, hate when customers come late but still... just tell people you cannot serve them instead of giving them a bad experience. Better training needed for sure. I understand they are tired and want to go home, and I would want to, but it is not the customers' fault. It's hard to go wrong with pizza. Even bad pizza is still pretty good...in most cases. Unfortunately Mod found a way to absolutely ruin pizza. Went with my fiance, both of our pizzas were overcooked with a bitter alkaline after-taste. I told the staff I wanted a large quantity of basil, they put a tiny pinch and when I asked for more (enough to actually have a piece on each slice) they responded poorly. Neither the cheese not the sauce covered most of the pizza leaving a 2-3 inch extended crust on the 11" pizza. The topings all seemed like they came out of a GFS can. I will not try this again. The restaurant itself was a pleasant building, but the chanting shouts of hello every 10 seconds were more annoying than birthday songs at themed resturants. What I loved: We ordered a Hawaiian pizza (Canadian bacon and pineapple), another one with sausage, mushroom, onion, and green pepper, and a deluxe salad. All three were delicious, the quality far above most pizza offerings found in Livingston County. The crust is wonderful, the red sauce perfect and light, and the salad fresh and tasty. We'll definitely be back for more. What left me wanting more: This was a carry-out order and the pizzas were cold when we picked them up, even though we arrived within the suggested time. It doesn't appear they were kept under a heat lamp. Perhaps they don't have one yet, or maybe they forgot to use it on our order. They also did not have any plates or utensils available for carry-out, only for dine-in. We had to stop somewhere else to get plates and utensils, and the pizza sat in the backseat, getting colder. I would've thought a pizza place would have these available for their carry-out customers who aren't planning on dining at home. The pizza was still delicious cold, but it would probably be even better when hot and fresh out of the oven. Either way, be prepared for large crowds and wait time at this new location. read more

MOD pizza has a huge selection of toppings available for their pizzas and salads. My favorite part about the pizzas here are the thin crusts and unlimited toppings. In particular, they have a large variety of vegetables and greens, which I like. All of the toppings are fresh and rarely out of stock. The only negative to this place is that sometimes I find that although the crust is cooked on the pizza, the toppings and cheese is not necessary hot/warm. Overall, a great fast-casual place to go and eat or get carry out for. Whenever I'm in the mood for pizza, MOD is one of my top choices. read more

I love this style of pizza and the interactive way you order here; it's like Subway but for pizza- you pick your toppings as they place them on your pie and then they pop it in the super hot oven to make a really quick meal. I have been here a couple of times. The service is typical for a fast-food style restaurant. Normally the pizza is pretty good. However, I was here over the weekend and my husband and I each got our own pizza. His was good. Mine, I am pretty sure was on the "gluten friendly" crust, which I did not order. I've never had gluten free pizza so I cannot compare it to others, but it literally tasted like what I think cardboard would taste like. I took a few bites and couldn't figure out why my husband hadn't said anything about the nasty flavor.. so I asked him to try mine, thinking maybe my taste buds were off. He took one bite, immediately spit it out and said, "that's disgusting." Indeed it was. Not to mention the gluten friendly crust has 220 more calories than the regular. Bummer!
