One of the better pizza places around town if you are looking for a create your own pizza! There are so many toppings to pick from. You can pick however many you want for the same price so go crazy! There are three sizes- the mini which is a 6 inch pizza, the MOD which is an 11 inch pizza, or the mega which is 11 inches as well but has a thicker crust. If you aren't sure what you want on your pizza or where to start, they have 10 of their favorite combinations on the "menu". My suggestion is to start off with one of those pizzas and then get adventurous with adding anything else you want- or even taking some things off. They have amazing lemonade here, but even more amazing ice. If you love small cubed ice, you will love it here!!! The employees are very friendly and nice here- will definitely be back for more enjoyable experiences. If you are debating between MOD pizza or Fired Pie, I would pick MOD 10/10 times. read more

Great food. The WORST customer service on the planet. Totally disorganized. Stopped my 5 person order in the middle because they had "online orders'. Ummm ok. Pizzas come out and sit on the counter. Never called us. We got three out of five. Final two are finally ready.. One goes on the plate and one on the floor. "Oops sorry' and goes back to what he was doing. I guess too bad for me. This location is literally the worst one I have ever been at. They are so unorganized and constantly barking out orders at each other like it's their first day they've worked there. They also need some better training sessions as they had a teenage boy standing there not knowing what to do about anything. He didn't even know how to answer the phone. read more

As an experienced MOD employee from out of state, I have to say that this location does an excellent job of serving customers and creating a welcoming environment. The store was very clean and well kept, and the staff was constantly checking up on guests in the lobby. Honestly, MOD pizza is one of the best pizza chains there is. The pizza is personal sized for under 8$ (smart), you can put whatever you want on it for no extra charge, they have a great selection of beer, and the staff is always super friendly. This particular location the tables were a little dirty, and the bathrooms were small, but as always the experience was great. Plus, how could you not love how much food you get for such a small bill? We first had MOD in CA, and we're so excited when we moved out here and there was a few locations near us. read more

I met a friend for lunch. We were able to sit outside on the patio which was clean and spacious. We were greeted by staff, and immediately ordered. I ordered the Mad Dog. Mod pizza is a nice concept to a fast food approach for your pizza craving. Order the Mod and you can get unlimited toppings...the employees are usually pretty friendly but they get kind of weird and almost uncomfortable when you ask for more of a particular item. What I mean is, toppings are unlimited but they sprinkle a little of this and a little of that. I only order with vegetarian toppings, usually spinach, fresh garlic cheese, jalapeños and pizza sauce....so nobody should get uncomfortable when I ask for more spinach or even cheese right? The salad is usually pretty fresh and yummy too. Whatever the case, I would recommend Mod pizza...I just wish they would not give me weird looks when I ask for a little extra spinach on my vegetarian pizza...heck they are certainly saving on all the meat and other items I don't touch :-) read more

Normally I have enjoyed coming to this location, but on a recent visit the young manager who was working that night, who said his name was Nathan, was not managing his employees and accommodating the in-store customers very well. After waiting in line for several mins. Nathan then chose to make about 4-5 pizzas right in front of my son and me as we waited in front of him to order. There were also about 6 other people behind us also waiting to order pizzas. Nathan kept grabbing pizza after pizza and making them up. He had about 10 tickets on the wall and was doing all the pizza prep work himself while 2-3 other employees stood around doing apparently nothing. Obviously the tickets were from phone orders, but they kept falling behind and continues taking and adding more phone order tickets as we stood in line. Finally, I said if you grab another pizza to make up before ours, I'll be walking out the door. He said I have to do these first, it's policy. I said when you have customers in person waiting in line to order, that's not good business. He retorted something on policy while several other customers were also waiting to order behind me who also heard it. I asked to speak with the manager and he said he was the manager on shift. If you're taking more phone orders than allows you to service your customers in line, then you need to stop taking phone orders or adjust the pickup/wait times for pizzas. What normally takes about 10-13 mins on a weekday took over 30 mins in/out the door that evening, obviously because of too many online orders. read more

I was having a bad day and thought a pizza would cheer me up the food was very fresh and the woman making my pizza did a perfect job. I got the roasted red bell peppers, ricotta, diced garlic, oregano, chicken sausage, spicy ranch. The employees were so friendly and I got quick service to get back to work. I actually reinstalled yep just to share my dismal outlook on this place. Firstly, service hasn't just gone down, it is nonexistent here. If you plan to do a curbside order to save on time, you'll waste three times the amount of time it would take just to order in line. They prioritize a long line of customers before your online order even if you should come half an hour before them. They forget about your order even if you call them to let them know you're here, and once they say it'll be a few minutes they will spend 25 more until you call again which is met by a concerned "oh sorry it's right here." I get a one off occurrence on an especially busy weekend night but this has happened multiple times and it's a Wednesday. When asking what can be done about this (a comp, please? Who wants cold food?) they don't even offer a comp. Not surprised when this place looks like its ran by teenagers who could care less about food service. read more

Great location, fast service and the pizza was perfect! Second time at this location but it was the first to dine in. Get the Jasper and add roasted garlic, YUM! When you take the time and spend money to enjoy food from a restaurant or fast food, there are some expectation that you will be satisfied. Especially from a great chain like MOD. But for some reason, this Ocotillo and Arizona Ave location never fails to put a damper on my experience. I've only been to two different location so I could not say how it is on the other locations. 100% perfect on one location but a total fail for this location. I just don't understand why for some reason, you have to beg to add more than five pieces of pepperoni on a MOD size, or get a pinch of sausage when you ask for more because they initially give you very little, or repeat every single ingredients of one of the menu items every time you order, or have to grab a wad of napkins to wet so that I can clean a table and chairs to use. I know they have enough employees because of the amount of employees standing around chit chatting behind the counter with no active task at hand. Don't get me wrong, the pizza is always good for the prize but I think this location can do a little more in regards to meeting the high expectations that the other MOD location set for their loyal customers. I posted a picture so you'll see that it wasn't an unreasonable request. MOD size Caspian with sweet hot peppers. To get to this finish product, had to asked for extra sausage twice (+2 pinch ), asked for extra sweet hot peppers (+3 pcs ), had to remind about the gargonzola cheese , had to ask for the BBQ swirl when I picked it up . The pepperoni pizza that is in the background, I had to answer my sons question on why they only gave him 5 pcs of pepperoni on a MOD size pizza (+3 pcs . Anyways. We ate there for the first time today and really wanted to like this place. First the good: The food is good and the ingredients are fresh, the staff not so much. Unfortunately, the quality of the food is not good enough to justify the aggravation of the poor staff. The place was busy with a steady stream of customers. The staff was terribly trained and they had way too many people in the kitchen. We ordered two pies and a salad and it took 40 minutes to get our food.
