BUT the quality of the items that you choose from is superb! Price was right, staff was great and the pizza was very very good! You MUST try it at least once! If you do- you will return! Excellent! The food is fresh, service is quick and efficient, and the staff is friendly! Affordable pricing too! They charge for the size of the pizza, not the toppings! Create your own, pick a style, or combine the two! The manager came out to greet everyone; they just opened this week. Had lunch here with my sweetie and our friend during their lunch break and were able to get them back to work with time to spare despite it being busy. We all got something different and enjoyed what we had. I requested the Gluten Free crust ($2 extra no biggie) - it's the best I've ever tasted! The concept is good; its like a pizza version of subway. Unfortunately there are some factors that make it not so great. The crust is so thin you might as well get the mega, otherwise the pizza feels very unsubstantial. Pretty sure the dough has no animal products, so you can easily get a vegan pizza which is cool. You can customize your pizza up to a certain extent. one time I was selecting toppings for the pizza and the employee tried to say it was finished even though I still hadn't told him everything I wanted on it. when I told him the last topping I wanted to add he barely put any of it on; so there is definitely a set criteria for how much they are supposed to put on their pizza. I think a reason for this is because they know the crust isnt stable enough to hold the weight of toppings (too fcking thin). At least 3 times I have been here the dough has been severely undercooked. I dont mind waiting an extra 3 or 5 mins for a properly cooked pizza. Has anyone else had an experience with doughy pizza? Lastly, I would like to mention the staff was a little unprofessional during one of my experiences. It was near closing time on a friday night and a group of people came through the door. The whole staff dropped whatever they were doing to chat it up with their friends (who were not even there to purchase anything). Maybe its selfish of me, but I wanted the staff to be focusing on cooking/giving me my pizza. Just dont come here expecting an awesome pizza. read more

We just got finished visiting my grandpa in the hospital and went to grab an early dinner here. We ordered, my grandma got ready to pay, and my sister thanked her. The guy at the register gave us the entire meal on the house. This was definitely an act of kindness that was at the perfect time for us. I have been to MOD numerous times and have always been impressed by the food and the service. Everyone is always so nice and the food is amazing. And to top it off, it's quick! This place is awesome. We had pizza, garlic strips, and beer. The food was awesome and it was so nice to go out with the whole family for pizza and not have to either eat only what the pickiest person wants on their pizza or pay an arm and a leg to get multiple types. The variety and quality of ingredients was great and the pizzas came out fast. The service was extremely friendly and patient when we asked questions. The restaurant itself is nicely designed and has good atmosphere. I honestly can't think of a single thing I didn't think was great. This will definitely be somewhere we go back to often. read more

So I decided to DoorDash my mod pizza and I asked for pepperoni, sausage, bacon, jalapeños, and only received sausage. I purposely ordered from mod so I can have all those additional toppings. So figure a way out to manage the customers there and the online orders. read more

You get to pick whatever toppings you want all for the same price, the staff at the Chico location are all cheerful and happy to see you, and their ice machine basically makes slushy ice (it's magical!). If I could give this place zero stars I would. Today when ordering a pizza they wrote down my order and cook the pizza in prepared it wrong because the manager was mopping up the ordering area when I explained that my pizza was wrong the manager said that the reason why he was mopping was because of dog shit in the line. I do not want to eat at a place where dogs are allowed to shit in the same area that my food is made but I also do not want to pay for toppings that are not on my pizza it is cheaper and better to go across the street to mad dash. ONE STAR AND I DIDN'T EVEN EAT THERE. Hygiene is so important especially when you're handling someone else's food. The night that I walked into MODS pizza with my girlfriend we were both very excited to try out the new pizza joint in town that everybody has been talking about. To our surprise we noticed one of the female employees wiping her nose on her wrist and sleeve. At first glance I thought maybe it was only an itch. After a couple of minutes of standing in line I noticed she wasn't just having an itch. She appeared to be sick! She had a runny nose and a cough! She continued to wipe her nose with her wrist and sleeve. And she kept on touching her pants around her waist line. And not once did she go and wash her hands or change her gloves!! That is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. I also noticed cross contamination, an employee from one station would reach across to the next station and touch the pizza with contaminated hands. What if the customer is allergic to certain foods!! Don't go to MODS pizza unless you are ready to have someone else's germs all over your pizza. By the was this is the MODS in Chico CA. read more
