However, the cashiers could be more friendly, as they were a bit rude when I asked questions. This was by far the worst service I've experienced at any fast-food or casual restaurant. We came in after a hockey tournament in a great mood, and unfortunately every interaction with staff completely drained that energy. Multiple staff members were openly rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. When I asked about using rewards, I was bluntly told they "don't do that here," with no explanation or courtesy. With so many families traveling right before Christmas, I expected at least basic customer service. Instead, the experience was unpleasant from start to finish. Very disappointing. read more

I arrived early from my flight to Detroit airport only to learn that my ride was going to arrive late. The good news was there was a MOD pizza. However I was quite taken aback by the service here. The staff seemed to be apathetic and didn't greet you or make eye contact. One girl was busy wiping the glass where the wait line was, the guy at the end didn't acknowledge my presence and didn't say a single word as he made pizzas for another order. The girl who wiped the glass rudely told me to stop touching the glass because she just cleaned it...SHEESH! It shows she cares more about the glass than the customers! Me and a few other customers just awkwardly waited and these guys didn't come to the register to ring us up, one of the customers had to ask if they were going to or not. The people working here just didn't care about working here nor for the customers. Worst of all they didn't do the rewards on your app. The quality of the pizza sucked and was pricer than other establishments I've been to. This place was a major let down. The guy making my pizza removed and rearranged my pepperoni five times for some reason, which delayed an already slow process. As someone who typically appreciates a good MOD pizza, this particular location disappointed me. The main pro to this place is the amount of seating and chargers. Even if the rest of the airport is filled up, MOD will have a decent amount of seating remaining. Plus, even if you're not a fan of pizza, the sheer amount of outlets makes this place a decent location to kill time. The main con of this location is the service. Apathetic and extremely slow, it took them about half an hour to make my pizza even though I was the only one there. The pizza itself is somewhat below what I normally expect from MOD. This place was absolutely horrible. Stopped in with a friend before our flight out. There was no line, could barely tell if they were ready to take my order before no actual contact, a Hi or anything was made very unwelcoming. Finally ordered and ordered gluten free crust and let them know I had a gluten allergy. I finally pay and still no "Hi" or any kind of acknowledgment from any of the people working there. It was very awkward. I finally see them put my pizza in but not my friends and we ordered at the exact same time and no one was ahead of us. The two girls working the oven were just standing around chit chatting. My pizza was done in 10 minutes meanwhile my friend was still waiting on hers. When I finally got mine they cut my pizza with the cutter they use for the others (I have a gluten allergy) they didn't mark the ticket. Everything moved extremely slow and they were not friendly at all. There was a girl (very short, reddish LONG hair, glasses) and I don't think I have EVER seen a human move slower than this girl. I think a sloth might move faster. This girl has no had ZERO customer service skills - ZERO enthusiasm - ZERO smile. There were about 5 people in line and it took her easily 10 maybe even 15 mins to prepare the guys pizza. The other lady was filling empty food containers - cleaning counters - checking people out and frankly working very hard. She was kid age mid height darker hair. I the pizza cooker was nice but was the corner on his phone almost the entire time I was sitting there. He was nice - BUT. The owner manager really should be present to see what's going on .... MOD will succeed as there are not many choices - BUT this is not good for MODs service and reputation. Sad that people only want to collect a check. This end of the North Terminal used to be a food waste land so MOD Pizza is a nice addition. MOD has salads and thin-crust pizzas that you build yourself (like every place these days) or you can order a pre-determined item. They had many different toppings so it would be easy to customize to meet many different dietary requirements. The portions are large (Even the mini pizza was the size of a dinner plate) and the pizzas are ready in a few minutes. They even have little cream-filled chocolate cakes like Ding Dongs if you want dessert. read more

Assembly line pizza making has become all the rage, this new entry is part of a chain. First time at a Mod, I like the concept but wish they were a little more generous with the ingredients. I guess I could have asked for more toppings but as I said this is my first time here so I wanted to taste how the company planned for it to be. I ordered the Calexico mod which is basically just a buffalo chicken pizza, it was average. The bread was ok, the sauce was good, not a fan of the cheese, the toppings were put on sparingly. First time in Detroit and I had the unpleasant experience of eating here. I decided to stop here since it looked similar to a Blaze Pizza or Pieology Pizza (if you from the West coast, you know what I'm talking about) However I was given bad customer service by DJ who was the young man working that day along with the cashier Entriel. DJ looked annoyed at every customer that stopped by. He clearly hates his job. Entriel was rude when I asked for Parmesan cheese and ranch & claimed they were out of both but with a rude demeanor. I ate here while on way back home from business trip. I really like assembly line pizza because you can customize it and you get it hot which is important to me. It's a good value for airport food. It's kind of a step below blaze though. Wasn't enough cheese. They left a big border of cheeseless-ness around the crust. I like that it was fresh and hot but it was not as good as blaze or dominos.
