I was excited to see this open up right by our house. I liked MOD Pizza. You basically build your entire pizza from the ground up. You determine which toppings and how much toppings to put on it. I am reading some of these reviews of people saying toppings were only in the center or it was missing this or that. Fool, they built the pizza in front of you, why didn't you say "more please" or "drench that down with some extra sauce." They would have done it - your rating is more of a reflection of your intelligence than their pizza. The staff is very helpful, funny, and downright personable. It's a nice option in that area to have something different, quick, and fun. read more

For what it is...fast pizza! This place is pretty good. I like picking exactly what I like on my pizza and how much of each item to add. It's quite fast, not a typical order your pizza and wait 20-30 minutes for it to come out. Very small dining area so, it fills up fast! read more

We gave them a shot today since we were visiting the dentist off and my hubby loves pizza. Well...it wasn't my typical MOD Pizza experience. That saddens me. To start, the employees didn't seem like they were excited to be at work. I mean, you're facing customers so a smile should be a part of your uniform. As we went through the line, I didn't feel welcomed as I usually do at other locations. My husband was asking for additional pepperoni and the girl told him "I'm not done." ​My husband was turned off by her attitude and ready to leave. I convinced him that we should wait for our pizza (especially since I had already paid). While waiting, I decided to have a conversation with the manager on duty to share my concerns and she listened with an attentive ear. She apologized for the experience and offered to assist us in the future should we return. I was happy that she was open to the feedback I shared and I trust that things will change. Now let's talk pizza. Again...not what I previously experienced. I felt like it could have stayed in the oven just a tad bit longer. I'm used to dining in, but today we had to take it to go​. When we got home I was slightly sad that it was "doughy." We stuck ours back in the oven at home for about five minutes and it tasted just like it would've if I had dined in. Last but not least, we ordered some of the sauces available​ for drizzle to go home with us. I like this option. This allows you the full MOD Pizza experience. But can we get a full cup of sauce for this nicely sized pizza? Don't put a tablespoon in the cup for an​ 11'' pizza. I will return to give them another shot because I have had this pizza before and I have had pleasant experiences. First off let's get the last reviews straight. It's not a wood fire oven. It uses gas. The pizza's are cooked on stone. The pizza's could use more cheese. Very skimpy on the toppings. But the prices are decent. And it's quick and fresh. Also overview of the place says in an 800 degree oven. But the temp wasn't even over 525. read more

Took me three times to try mods. First two times crazy wait time (for mediocre pizza) third time I placed an order online. Picked up my pizzas and went home. Pizzas were cold. Mods should be eating there and not picked up to go. The pizza tasted like a frozen pizza at best. The crust I must say was good due to the fire oven. This place tries to save money by skimping on the ingredients. Very little cheese. One pizza we got had sausage mushrooms and cheese. Maybe 6 sausage's and few slices of mushrooms. Couple slices only had cheese. The other pizza had garlic and red sauce dollops and artichokes. I say there were maybe 5 artichokes on the pizza. The pizzas we got definitely did not look like what they advertise on their website. This was a 1 and done for me. I will never return. I wish them best of luck. Their pizza isn't for me. read more

This was the worst service we ever experienced. We have been to other Mod Pizza locations whose service was much better. We would never return to this location. The service was super slow. There were 2 workers standing doing nothing but talking to each other while the line grew longer. The staff that were working could have used assistance. read more

Usually great service at other locations, but Bloomingdale was full of unhappy, immature, sick employees- except one young guy. One girl made it very clear she was sick and was taking it out on customers- Saturday noontime. May be a coincidence, but I have not been sick in years and I'm fighting some illness...! Cauliflower pizza is great, but always burnt black on edges. Love that you can have vegan/vegetable toppings and skip any form of dairy or nondairy cheese-like product. read more

MOD has a great regular crust, and a pretty good gluten free crust, and just like the other locations, they are willing to give you whatever you want on your pizza, including my double cheese. If you like crunchy crusts like we do--ask for yours well done. The 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because of the staff. While they are ultra friendly, and obviously all young, the location has been open long enough that it's time to speed it up. It's painful to watch the sauce being spread on the crust ohhhhh soooo slowly. Please--- train in some speed with those smiles!! read more

Pizza is fresh and made quickly. By the time we find a place to sit the pizza is ready. I normally like deep dish pizza. But it is hard to go wrong at MOD Pizza. Same price for any number of toppings. They serve beer and wine. My wife and enjoy stopping in when we go to Sam's Club. read more

My boyfriend loves this place. We usually eat here around 8 pm. They close at 9 pm. I understand that it does get annoying having to wait for customers to leave but that shouldn't be a problem because you are receiving money for the company! We've came here plenty of times but it's still the same manager (i think) that complains about having "too many" customers right before closing. If customers never came in, he'd lose his job and the company would end! He's white, wears glasses, sometimes wears his hat backwards and he usually works the oven and register. I'm sorry if you hear his rude comments. It really does kill the vibe of this great restaurant. I hope they find someone better to take his place! read more

I had a very bad experience at MOD Pizza in Elgin. The ingredients are free but they are very skimpy with them. I asked for extra cheese. The girl literally picked maybe 8 pieces of grated cheese to add on the pizza. When she was going to move the pizzas to where they would be cooked instead of going to her right she did a complete 360 degree turn to the left and ingredients went flying off the pizzas. When I got home one of the 2 pizzas had a burnt crust. The employees were very unorganized. The pizza was not that good. The cheesy garlic bread was good. read more

If you have any sort of gluten allergy, like my daughter who has Celiac Disease, do not eat MOD's gluten free pizza. The servers cook the pizza in the same oven as all the other pizzas and use the same utensils. Cross contamination is just as bad as eating gluten. I was told they use a certain corner of the oven for the GF pizzas which is untrue from witnessing it, they "rinsed" the pizza cutter with water when an entirely different cutter should have been used. I would not recommend for Celiac sufferers or anyone with a gluten allergy. read more

Husband loves this place in Schaumburg so we went here for date night . Burnt pizza. Slower than normal. The manager or whoever was rude and I am not exaggerating when I say every person I saw leave was not a happy customer. MOD Pizza is good just not this location. Wanted this place to be good but was just mediocre. Didn't mind the wait because it was Friday night around 7 so that was our fault. The line was long but the wait for the pizza was even longer. I finally went up to ask how much longer only to find our order sitting there on the slab waiting for our 'paper' to come up. The people behind the counter seemed confused because if the pizza type didn't match what was on the pizza they didn't seem to know what to do with it. I finally asked them to look under the paper on top because I could see my name next and I knew my pizza was sitting there waiting and had been for 10 minutes or so. Need a better system for distributing the pizzas. The food seemed to be ok, but like I said it was cold and I like my pizza hot. We will go back ONE MORE TIME when things calm down and hope it is better. read more

i have heard so many great things about this place and i went to try it out to see if it really THAT good. when i was there, i would give the service an 8/10. the lady there was nice but it felt like she had an attitude or something towards me, which is always a no bueno for me. i ordered a 6 inch, i believe, with cheese, and pepperoni. so just an ordinary pepperoni pizza. let me tell you it was AMAZING!!! it definitely did not fill me up so when i go back there i'm getting an 11 inch. i would highly recommend this place!!! read more
