Do not order from "Mod Fresh" on DoorDash. It's a waste of time and money. It's a ghost kitchen, inside of Mod Pizza, where they basically use bagged salad greens and old pizza toppings and you can make "create your own salads". We ordered 2 custom salads and it took 2 and a half hours to arrive. The lettuce was wilted, the toppings were sparse and tasted old, and the ranch smelled and tasted rotten. We had some Hidden Valley in the fridge luckily and just tossed the dressings to be safe. I'm not sure how bad the actual pizza is here, but their salads are bad quality and overpriced.

So there is a lady working right now. She's the only female working at the moment. I've come in for the past year, requested siracha as my base sauce. Firstly it's delicious. But they always have to retrieve the bottle. No big deal. I leave a tip every time. But today this lady said loud enough to be heard, "we don't offer siracha!" My dude who made the pizza just plugged on. Now i could have just been thankful but when i said to the lady, thank you. She ignored me. I get it that she may have been irritated at my pizza, hence the tip, BUT!!! You're welcome...that is the phrase that follows thank you. Am i to think therefore that I'm not welcome. This is actually our second interaction about the siracha, the previous time she refused to get siracha and i said, no problem, red sauce is fine. If I'm breaking a rule about siracha please inform me, fired pie has no problem with the siracha. I'm sure they know the pepper response to "thank you."

The pizza from this MOD is the best pizza ever. The workers were very friendly and welcoming. This place is good for families, friend gatherings, or just for a quick meal. I would recommend coming here, they're very clean and I have always had an overall great experience here.

I like pizza- who doesn't? But sometimes I want odd combinations like sausage, pineapple and jalapeño or all veggies with no cheese. Good thing MOD Pizza will make any combo I want, any time I want it for the same price, no matter how many toppings i put on. I love the thin crispy crust that's always cooked to perfection. If you're not in the mood for pizza, stop into your local MOD Pizza for a HUGE salad - built with all the same meats, cheeses and veggies you love! Enjoy!

Who doesn't want to be able to create their own personal sized pizza?! I know we did, so that's why we decided to stop on in!! It was Saturday evening around 5:30pm and it was surprisingly not too busy. There were about 8 customers ahead of us, but the line moved relatively quickly. We got to the window and the first employee we interacted with was very friendly. We proceeded down the line and we interacted with 3 other employees. We ended up getting two 11in sized pizzas and our total was $17. Each pizza i believe is about $7.97. I ordered mine with regular marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, spicy chicken sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, black olives, green peppers, onion, and light jalapeños. Phew yes, those are a ton of toppings but the good thing is they don't charge you more per topping! You can get as many toppings as you like all for the same price! YAAAY! Seating is not an issue here as there is plenty of it. They even have a cute outdoor patio! We sat down and waited for our food. We waited about 15 minutes from when we paid. They don't do buzzers or anything, but they call out by your name when it's ready to get picked up. Our pizzas came out freshly baked from their super cool brick oven. Ugh the cheese would just fall right off our pizza! We did dig in right away, because you definitely want to eat your pizza as soon as it comes out. My pizza was great and cooked perfectly! They have sauces as well for you to pick from when you pick up your pizza. We decided to get some good ol' ranch. They have various different drinks to pick from and they have free water cups by the soda machine! We will definitely be back! We had a wonderful experience and our pizzas were delish.

MOD Pizza beat all my expectations as to what a chain pizza joint is. I was anticipating food that was so-so, overly expensive, cheap tasting, and with a long cook time. My wife is allergic to dairy and had eaten here in the past because of the dairy free cheese offered. I begrudgingly agreed to go with her and was surprised by the clean, friendly, and modern environment inside. The pizza was well priced and the topping selection was incredible - especially that there is no charge or cap for toppings. There are gluten free and dairy free accommodations that perform well and met my satisfaction. I got the thick dough type pizza and had some for the next day. I had gotten drinks, filled them, and barely sat down when the pizzas were done cooking. Super efficient service. I really think other pizza places have things to learn from MOD Pizza - topping availability and friendliness, dairy and gluten free options (NOT ALTERNATIVES; aka, gluten free salad but not gluten free pizza? Not working for me), and a front that is actually nice and comfy to be in, not gritty or grimy or greasy. MOD Pizza smells like great pizza, not cooking oil.

The pizza is always good. I like that it's kind of oily rather than dry and they have oregano! Most pizza places don't have the option to add lots of fresh oregano on your pizza! The staff is really nice and a fun atmosphere too. read more

I did the red and vodka white sauce, and it was delicious, put minced garlic on it,mozz , pepperoni, mild sausage , salami, and asiago cheese on top and when it came out I got Buffalo sauce on the side, folded it every dip and it was like eating a calzone , so delicious, the next time I added red peppers and garlic cloves, and it was even better, the staff is super friendly and just overall had a great experience!!! read more

This was the 2nd time I'd eaten at MOD. The first was a couple weeks ago while travelling for work in Austin, TX. It was awesome there and just as awesome here. The fact that you can put anything you want on for one price is incredible. I started with the Mad Dog and added garlic rub, pineapples, artichoke, ham, bacon, rosemary, Italians seasonings and salt and pepper. It then goes into a brick oven and only takes about 5 minutes to cook. After it was done, I had them add the pesto finish. Yum. Something I haven't seen mentioned in this locations review but have in the others is that if you go overboard on toppings, the crust can become a bit soggy, at least in the middle.. I tend to go overboard, but I knew the risk going in. And I'm sure that once the oven gets properly seasoned, it will get even better. I'm pretty sure they've only been open a short time. I got a fountain drink, but they also offer a couple beers on tap and some craft beers and even a few craft sodas. Next time, it'll be Birch Beer for me. read more

Good price for what you're getting if you like a lot of toppings. The pizza is awesome but there is almost always a wait and it's hard to find seating for a group larger than four people. I'm also really disappointed that they have unfinished wood paneling on the walls! I understand it's for decoration but if you sit near it like I did, be prepared to get multiple splinters. Not a great idea in a place like Gilbert with so many kids running around... read more

I tried Mod Pizza for the first yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. I walked in about 7:30 in the evening and was promptly greeted with a warm hello. The staff were very friendly and upbeat. I ordered my pizza and 3 minutes later was eating a very delicious perfectly prepared pizza. The pricing is good and service top notch. I will be a frequent diner here. Good job Mod Pizza read more

My husband and I love MOD Pizza! We probably go there every couple of weeks when we need a break from our usual paleo-type diet. They have delicious and affordable gluten-free and dairy free options (~$10/gluten free pizza). They are generous with the unlimited toppings and rotate different ingredients now and then (all are included in the price of build-your own style). The pizza tastes great, but the best part about MOD, at least at this location in particular, is their customer service. They are always super friendly, pretty fast in the mid-late evenings when we go, and occasionally offer us a drink if it takes a while or even a free pizza on occasion if they accidentally mixed up our order or made a mistake. We once had a credit card issue with an online order getting a double charge and the cashier/manager gave us his name and number just in case it didn't get resolved on their end so that he could clear the charge the next day. They are the kind of business that make you wish all businesses were like this. Everybody makes mistakes now and then, but the way they are handled is what counts. We love MOD! read more

Went in on Saturday, the sixth around 1:30 pm. I was greeted nicely and in a very welcoming way. Store was extremely clean. This being my first time trying MOD Pizza. The young man explained the menu to me in a very professional and understanding way. Food was hot, and I was even offered ranch on the side. Will be returning. My family and I came here and loved it! The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The pizza was yummy, and we also had some garlic strips and cinnamon strips. We really enjoyed it all! I got a salad with Caesar dressing, which I'm very picky about. And I was not disappointed! To top it all off, they came around and gave us vanilla milkshakes. I would love to give this a 5 because when it is good, it is awesome. Unfortunately, it has been a hit and miss experience for us. One time it is close to perfect (been there about 9 times). The next time it is not. The cooking seems to be inconsistent. The crust has been all over the place. One time it will be under cooked, another time it will be almost burnt. When it is right, it is amazing! Just wish it was not a roll of the dice. read more

the restaurant was a cookie cutter Style strip mall venue. this created a very loud atmosphere no sound dampening in the ceiling or walls. the pizza was a flatbread thin crust Style with choices of many different toppings. relatively quickly they were able to load up the pizza with you you're different choices and throw it into a oven. flat thin crust pizza it's not my usual choice and there was not a second choice or any other choice in crust. read more

During that time, several staff members including what seemed to be a manager, were loudly yelling back and forth across the restaurant about staffing and schedules. With no music or TV volume, it was impossible not to hear, and it felt very unprofessional. Meanwhile, our water glasses sat empty. I had to ask three separate times for refills, and the third time I actually had to get up and find our server at the bar, where she was sitting, still discussing the schedule. When the pizza finally arrived, it was delicious. But basic things like Parmesan and pepper weren't offered. I had to flag someone down to ask. And even though we'd just received our food, the lights on the patio were turned off while we were eating, and we were brought a box very quickly, which felt like a not-so-subtle hint to leave. Overall, the food was good, but the customer service and atmosphere really took away from what should have been a nice birthday dinner for my daughter. Very disappointing experience.

It tasted just like Tonelli's in Northbrook, IL where I grew up (except Salerno's wasn't mint green). The homemade meatballs smothered in for real marinara sauce and the homemade creamy garlic dressing I put on top of a bed of crispy romaine lettuce with croutons. I wouldn't have minded the wait as much if the service was good, but it wasn't. The server barely checked on us, and I had to signal him just to get refills. After we finished eating, we had to wait almost another 20 minutes for the check because our table was getting ignored and I had to signal him again The food is decent, but the service this time was terrible.

Because we were dining with a toddler and a baby, I politely asked if we could be seated indoors. There were several empty tables inside, but the hostess insisted that those tables were reserved. When I mentioned that I also had a reservation, her response was dismissive and came across as rude. She seemed annoyed and said, "So what? Do you want to sit outside or not?" The weather wasn't terrible, but with two young children, I had hoped for a little more understanding and flexibility. My husband was upset enough that he wanted to leave, but we stayed to avoid disrupting dinner for our kids. The food was still very good, which is why this experience was so surprising. I would recommend additional customer service training for the hostess staff, as the quality of service should match the quality of the food.

It was about 5:30 PM on a Wednesday and the place was Poppin! The bar was completely full and it was loud!. We did not have a reservation and the only open seating was at the bar or high tops in the bar area. We were quickly greeted and our server was incredibly on top of it! I noticed that the main menu had a line at the bottom that stated a gluten-free menu would be available upon request. I did ask to see this menu as gluten-free is my dietary preference, not an allergyand I was brought a complementary gluten-free bun instead of the pretzel bread. I thanked our server and told him not to worry that it was just a preference and he told me that he treats all gluten friendly requests as an allergy. I really appreciated the care and concern he had for my health and well-being. This is unprecedented at most restaurants. They had a very extensive gluten-free menu and I can't wait to go back and try so many more items. We did try the Leonard burger and made quite a few modification requests - all of which were 100% accommodated. This burger was so incredibly juicy! My entire hand was dripping by the time I got done eating it. Everything else we tried was delicious. I have no complaints or suggestions for improvement and will definitely be returning soon!

That question turned into Carl proudly explaining the process from preparation, to smoking to plate and everything in-between. His enthuasism, artisanal detail, and forthrightness to answer our questions were extremely valued and appreciated. Carl went way beyond our expectations and set the tone for the rest of our meal. After conversing with Carl he walked us to the counter, introduced us to the staff making the plates and explaned the ordering process to us.
