The service here is eh... it's hit or miss. Some employees are helpful and quite a bit of them role their eyes at me when I ask for gluten free or they just have a general crummy attitude like they hate their job. The last few times I have been here I have had a couple gentlemen say rude unnecessary backhanded comments insinuating I am pretentious even though I was very nice and polite to them. I have health issues so when I ask for gluten free it's not because I'm on a fad diet. Its already embarrassing enough having to order gluten free much less get attitude about it. Damn these guys are fast. I came in earlier tonight. It was really crowded, so I figured I'd be there a while, but I got through the line and got my pizza in like 3 minutes. Good stuff too. It tasted really fresh. Their pizza hits that sweet spot between gooey and crunchy. I have to hand it to these guys. They're really efficient. Ordered online while my husband drove, and we were about 15 minutes away. We arrived 10 minutes prior to our estimated pick up time, so I sat in the car for 5 minutes and then walked in. I went to the pickup counter and offered my name, saying that I know I'm early, and they told me they hadn't even fired my pizza yet. It's just been sitting in the back. I understand that these pizzas cook fairly quickly, but really? Sat around for an extra 10 minutes while they made my pizza, and when I could finally walk back to my car with pizza in-hand, I entered the car to an crying baby, cranky toddler, and a husband who was more-than-happy to see I had finally returned. So we have been coming to this MOD since it opened. Today, for the second consecutive time, the cleanliness of the place is not good. While the salad & pizza were still tasty, and the staff are friendly, there is just food, and scraps & messes everywhere. All around the drinks, all is messy and wet and pretty disgusting. The floors not clean. The area where you pick up your pizza has food everywhere & it just looks like the counters have not been wiped down or cleaned in a long time. Sad. Hopefully this review will open their eyes before health department looks in. read more

Alright so I walked in five minutes before closing and was greeted by an ultra friendly pizza artisan ‍ He asked me how everything was going, made it clear he had no problem helping me and actually said it was good he wasn't rushed so he could make a pizza he would even eat. Several of the ingredients were packed and stored for close but I didn't hold it against him. I'm really glad I was treated like a person not just another number or money in the bank. Hopefully I'm not poisoning myself by eating here again but the sincerity and professionalism from my pizza-making homie from the chi outweighs the risk. I really love this place! It's like the Chipotle of pizzas.. and you get as many toppings as you want for the same price. I have been holding off on writing this review for a few days in order to collect my thoughts. First of all, I love pizza, so when I found a place that I could build my own, I was incredibly excited! The location was nice and clean and I was greeted at the door. It wasn't until I began ordering when the entire mood had shifted. I was "helped" by a man named James. When I began ordering, I guess he couldn't hear me, so he gave me a loud "Huh?!" 2-3 times. Sorry, man! I let it slide because I do talk a bit quietly, so I couldn't blame the guy. Then I went ahead and ordered a pizza with red sauce, arugula, mushrooms, onions, green peppers. But instead of mozzarella, I asked if he could add dairy free cheese. Immediately, he rolled his eyes and gave attitude. It seemed that every topping was filled with disdain and anger :/ Anyways, when I finished my purchase, I was still being given attitude majorly, but what did it for me...the smell. Not the pizza, James. I handed him my cash, and the minute his arm moved, it caught wind and I received a HUGE whiff of an unwashed, musty odor. MOD, is hygiene a priority for your workers?
