This restaurant got me so f-ed off. Let me elaborate. Fun! Friendly! Fabulous! The guys that were working were so incredibly funny with the topping suggestions and what they could really do with said toppings to make a pizza doused with sauces that was like a cocktail party turned rave in my mouth. I cant compliment the staff enough for all of the flavor suggestions that made my pizza turn out so well. On a more serious note, tje restaurant was very clean, and the staff appeared at least, to be clean as well. I truly believe cleanliness is godliness so praise Jesus on that too. First of all, let me start out by saying that I am truly grateful for just walking into this pizza joint by chance. The staff was very helpful by assisting me to build the perfect pizza. Then after the pizza constructor asked me how my day was, I replied, that "it was so so". Next thing i knew he was telling me a corny knock knock joke that made me laugh due to the fact it was so corny. I'm from Chicago.......lived there for 63 years......I like to believe I am a pizza snob. Short and Sweet...MOD Pizza is the greatest pizza I have found here in California. THIN.....Crispy,,,Exactly the way I want it because I get to choose Everything that goes on it...and it sounds crazy ,,,,but it's done in about 6 minutes...I remember the day when I use to call in for pizza and they would say about an hour or so for pick up. Never again. This location is staffed by the BEST Pizza Creators ever. Connor is the hardest working person ,,,always cleaning, creating perfect pizza's , and being the perfect host to all the pizza lovin' people. Mmmm. I came here with my friend the other day and this pizza was bomb!! I got the Calexico (I believe thats how you spell it) pizza with pepperoni instead of chicken, it was a more spicy pizza which was awesome - and it tasted amazing! Even the leftovers were delicious. The sauces that they offer are rad too, because they offer a good variety and they all taste delicious. I also tried the cinnamon sticks and the garlic sticks, both were super tasty! This was a train wreck all around! First of all, we went here just for the vegan options. When we arrived, we were told that they put cheese in the red sauce. Who does that? They then told me that their white sauce was vegan. It was not. We ended up not getting my pizza but getting my parents pizza. When we got to the car there was no red sauce on the pizza like we had ordered, and the pizza was very bland and overcooked. They get one star because their Diet Coke was good. They did give me a free pizza card for the trouble, but I won't be back. I'm going to Pieology now because they don't put cheese in their red sauce! Blah. I wouldn't really call this pizza. They claim it's fast but don't go during lunch or dinner rush because they get backed up really quickly. They put all these weird sauces on their "pizzas" after the fact and it's so weird. For my money I'll go next door and get really good new York style pizza. read more

OK, so everything was clean and fresh ... but so very corporate. For example, they "had" to make me produce an ID to buy a beer for my wife. I'm 67, and look it. The pizza was fine but a bit skimpy. If you're a pizza crust fan go elsewhere. read more

The pizza is really good here, but the wait is way too long. The first employee you encounter asks you how many pizzas, what sizes, and what type of cheese you want before you even get started. Well, I DONT KNOW! My daughter may want one type of cheese, my husband may want a different size...why do I have to know all the info and answer a million questions before I even get started? Why can't each person order individually? Why does the person have to check my selections of on a piece of paper for all 5 of the pizzas I'm ordering? This place has good food. If the people working can get it right. The last 2 times I ordered it was wrong. Used to have a good team. Now it seems like a bunch of jokers are working. A little grossed out and disappointed. This was my first visit and was excited to try a new pizza place. When I received my pizza there was a long black hair sitting on it. I gave it back to the girl and asked for a new pizza. She asked me if I wanted to keep the original one because they would just throw it away. I said of course not. So then they offered it to the next guy who came up to get his order and he took it! I made sure I warned him on the way out. But that is not how a food business should operate. read more

My kids and I really enjoyed the pizza today. Easy to order and customizable. I like how the price does not change based on how many toppings we ordered. We ordered a MOD pizza that originally started as a cheese pizza but then my girls had such a great time to add their own toppings, it became something else. Either way, they got their veggies (they added it to the pizza) and ate the whole pizza. I ordered a gluten free MOD pizza which was very good; it's similar to Z pizza but I believe MOD is slightly less expensive compared to Z pizza for both pizzas. This is my 3rd visit here, and although I enjoy the concept and the ingredients which are offered (especially the Brussels and the fig sauce), each time I have come they have burnt my pizza to a crisp. I think they may not realize that they have to cook the Gluten Free pizza crust for less time than the regular dough. Their gluten free crust is premade instead of raw like the other dough. I was excited to have a pizza place I could easily order from as someone with Celiac Disease, but on three separate occasions made by 3 different individuals the pizza was severely burnt and then handed me us as if that was ok. read more

I want to love this place, I really do, but if you have dairy free items, please teach your employees how to handle it. Allergy awareness in food service is just as important as food handling related to food borne illness. We were in line, I asked "is the thicker crust dairy free?" to which the employee says "Oh yeah it is, for sure. No wait, or is it? (in a sarcastic manner)". I asked him to please double check after that, which he flat out ignored. I replied "please check the ingredients after your comment, my kids could die." He did not apologize and had a different employee take over making our pizza and she checked it. You cannot put doubt into an allergy parent's mind when their kid's health is at stake. While they were making the pizza, we watched them reach across all ingredients with a hand full of real cheese, and let it fall into all the bins along the way. I had only asked for a daiya and sauce pizza so it didn't matter, but had my kids wanted other toppings they would have had a reaction. Please Mod, if you're going to offer dairy free products, take allergy awareness training seriously and treat those of us with allergies with respect. This was a horrible and disappointing experience for us, because our kids love going to get pizza but we have had to avoid your establishment since. read more
