Usually great, but tonight the guy in the teal hat was a little rude. Before taking our order, he reached under the counter, pulled out a red bull, chugged it, and told us he'd been awake since 7am yesterday. Pretty sure that's against food handling guidelines. Next, he got my wife's order wrong (twice) before throwing together the correct pizza. One of those times, she pointed out The Phoenix doesn't have mozzarella. He replied "Huh. I always made it with mozzarella..." And continued to put mozzarella on the pizza. I decided to take the plaque of the wall and hold it for him to follow while he made his third attempt. read more

I like Mod pizza and usually receive great customer service but today (10/29 at 12:45) I watched an elderly man ask a large tattooed male employee for assistance and I was disgusted by what I saw. The elderly man didn't understand how the credit card reader worked and the employee made NO effort to help him in spite of the fact that other customers were backing up at the register. The elderly gentleman asked for help again and the tattooed employee commented "I pushed the right button so I don't know what to tell you". In the mean time pizzas were coming out of the oven and the tattooed guy was calling out names of people who, like me, were still on line waiting to pay. So I offered the elderly gentleman help and the problem was that he didn't understand how to add a tip, rather ironic huh?? If I was the manager I would have fired the tattooed guy on the spot and let the rest of the employees that worked that shift know that disrespecting ANY customer but especially an elderly person will not be tolerated. read more

We've been there about 5 times since the Marysville location opened. Have not had the chance to eat inside. However, pizzas are always great! Always completes our order correctly and quickly. MOD stands out from the other pizza places with their unique crust and any toppings you want. The only downside: we learned quickly the amount of pizzas needed to fill up my family. I was lost until I found my new favorite pizza place in town this past Friday night. Look, If youre going to splurge, please do it here. Basically the lux subway of pizza. I was pleased with the young man who helped me at the beginning of my order and the coming of age female who carefully placed it into something thay resembled a wood fire stove. Excited to try Mod. Arrived with 4 in our party. Crew ran out of pizza dough. Line formed and 15 mins passed while we stood. No management announcement to groups of people in line. No offer for discount or free side. Just stand there and wait. People started to leave. Some crew not using gloves to press dough or when cutting pizza and licking finger(s). Crew seem to be having fun despite customer wait. Overall unpleasant experience. UPDATE: previously gave this place one star for above listed experience. Went back to give it another shot and was very impressed. Had a great experience and the food was really good. Thank you to the management for reaching out and encouraging me to come back. Good, fast service (the only reason for the second star). The building is like an echo chamber. The price is very low, as is the quality of the ingredients used on the pizzas. Very little flavor at all. This is bottom of the barrel fast food. If they can sell it to you that cheap just think how much it cost them to make - practically nothing. I've been there twice now. First I had a double crust pizza. It was good. The guy who made it really pitched the price like it was a steal. 14 bucks for a one person pizza and drink isn't a steal in my book. I don't mind spending money on food at all. He just didn't have to pitch the price like it was extraordinary. Second visit I ordered a medium salad. Happier with the salad. 3 stars is my vote. I'm a pretty loyal customer to MOD and especially this location because it's local and all my experiences have been good except my last one but that was enough to make me never want to come back and leave a review, which I've never done before. About a month ago I got a pizza and took it to go. I brought it all the way home only to realize it hadn't been cooked all the way and the bread was still very doughy. Usually I hate asking places to remake something but I had to for this because it was inedible. When I went back I asked them politely if they could remake it and explained why and was ignored until they finally took it back. The employees at MOD are usually very friendly but this location got a whole new staff and manager and were for some reason all in a bad mood. They seemed very annoyed when I asked for them to remake it and their reasoning was that the "bell peppers made it soggy". I've gotten bell peppers on my pizza every time and this has never happened. The only reason they did remake my pizza was because I knew someone who was working there and she did it for me when the manager told her not to. Overall they made me feel really uncomfortable and made me feel like it was my fault for some reason so I won't be coming back again. read more

I have been to this location at least 6 times. This last visit was the best. The staff was not yelling and the noise level was low enough to have a conversation. This is a change from my previous visits when the staff was yelling so much it was uncomfortable. I hope this lasts. read more

MOD pizza is probably the best thing to happen to Marysville. It's very affordable, and very well kept. All the employees are friendly. I love being able to add toppings at no extra cost, I can eat at MOD with my boyfriend for $10. It takes a bit longer than fast food but it's faster than any other fresh pizza places. My only complaint is that it's not open late enough but that's probably for the best in this town. read more
