Been wanting to try MOD pizza and finally got the chance today. The so called pizza is nothing more then a tortilla like crust toasted with melted cheese and cold raw vegetables tossed on top. The sausage seemed like it was cooked earlier and also put on after tortilla with sauce and melted cheese came out of a toaster oven. I've loved Mod Pizza/Pieology/Blaze Pizza ever since I found them in California (hint, they're all the same). The only reason this one doesn't get my 5 stars is because they literally cannot handle a crowd and the lady cooking the last time I went was burning everyone's pizza. read more

I upset that i even have to take the time to rant about service but here we go... Only 4 people ahead in line i got my pizza 45 min later! During this time an employee made his own meal for himself and fed the milkshake to other employees working, waited at the register for 10 min before even being recognized! Once the pizza was finally done the employee who had touched cash, her face and god knows what else grabbed my pizza and set it on the counter. Again 10 min later she walks over to finish up the pizzas in front of me, she is unprepared and has to go to the back, again adding more time. At this time my pizza is nearly cold just sitting in the box waiting to be cut! Managment please hire COMPETENT employees that actually care at least a lil bit! I tried this place a few days ago. I suppose I'm disappointed by the decor; they are going for chic and missed it - better than which wich though.So I want to start with the pizza itself is pretty meh - average for this kind of place (think on a scale with little Caesars at the bottom and something like underground at the top). For service, they are rather lack luster (again this place is going for chic, so own it). Price is about the middle of scale given. The pizza itself seems light on ingredients - I guess I should order extra things next time rather than trusting the classic items. I was there Sunday night. I often visit when I'm in town as this is on my route going back to Houston. On Sunday I put in an internet order. Thankfully! When I arrived there was a full on slam happening. A baseball team and parents arrived, multiple couples arrived and about four customers were already waiting on internet orders. It was crazy! There were only four people working. While I think the location is generally understaffed the crew did an admirable job taking orders, reassuring customers and keeping positive. Because they were genuine and clear they were maxed out, no one seemed to get upset. The crew kept communicating between themselves and caught up. There was a minor issue with my order but I didn't mind too much. Food is always good. The one thing that sticks out is that this location gets tons of internet orders. So much that often they are fully engaged making those orders. You should consider staffing up so that your team isn't overwhelmed. read more

Glad we stopped by, food was delicious. Pizza crust was perfect and toppings were fresh. We had a chicken pineapple pizza with mozzarella and asiago cheese, oregano and basil. We also ordered a Mod salad with spinach, mixed greens and romain lettuce. We added corn, roasted bell peppers, tomatoes, onion, and croutons. The salad dressing was delicious as well. Went to MOD Pizza on Friday and it wasn't very good again. When they first opened up it was really good gluten free pizza and i could build my own. Now it is not the same and they refused to cook the crust more as I requested; If not cooked long enough it taste like cardboard. They told me the manager said they couldn't cook it any longer. Not sure why that is since they have cooked it perfectly before until the last 2 times I have eaten there. So unfortunately, we will not be eating there again. read more

Had a horrible experience. Five of us went tor lunch. All pizzas were put in at the same time my whole family was already eating and they were pulling out several other pizzas and finally pulled mine out burnt and crispy and the guy slapped it on a plate. I was standing right there and he didn't. Cut it or offer to cut some of the charcoal off and slammed the plate on the counter and walked away. I asked for a manager only to find out I was dealing with him. I told him my food was burnt Black and Charcoal and he actually argued about. Finally offered to remake my food but by this time my family was already almost done and ready to go. I asked for his corporate number and he tried to argue about that. Manager was such a Jerk. The idea of building your own pizza for a set price tempted me to stop for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised at all the veggie choices (I'm a vegan), plus a dairy-free cheese option. Ate at MOD for the first time last night. If I could have picked 3 1/2 I would but 3 seemed too low. I love the fact you can pick your own toppings and the size was perfect - mini pizza and salad. The Caesar salad was excellent. The pizza came out fast and super thin, which is how I like my crust. While the crust was hot the toppings were not very hot - it's as if the crust cooked so fast, the toppings couldn't keep up. However, that didn't stop me from eating the entire pizza and salad. Not sure why some reviews on here are negative. I feel some people don't realize brick oven crust is thin and suppose to have some "burnt" spots on it. This isn't Dominos or Pizza Hut style pizza. We have been coming since they opened late last year and it is perfect each time. The salad is amazing! I literally can't eat it fast enough and crave it regularly. We try the seasonal pizza usually and a mad dog for my kiddos. All three minis plus a lemonade and we are set! So much food for a great price. I went to MOD's pre-opening today for lunch. It was very good. The staff was friendly and the service was quite fast despite a line.
