Okay let me get this out of the way up front: MOD Pizza makes the best tasting pizza I've been able to find anywhere in this town. Their crust is awesome and their ingredients are top notch! So why only two stars? Because their service STINKS! We've gone here to eat a total of ten times and on two occasions the experience was stellar. The rest of the time we experienced serious customer service issues. Don't go here during the Sunday "Church Rush" because these people have no clue how to handle a large crowd hitting their location. We found that out the hard way and stood in line for thirty minutes to order and then waited another twenty minutes to get our pizzas last Sunday. So we tried Saturday night. I mean it's got to be better than Sunday right? WRONG! We arrived around 5:15 p.m. and there were only a few people in front of us. We thought we scored. Then after ordering our food and getting our drinks, the dam burst and people started flooding into the place. That was when everything went wrong. My wife's pizza came out in ten minutes...acceptable. Mine came out twenty minutes after hers...UNACCEPTABLE! Not only that but it was allowed to sit out, cooling, while the "cutter" figured out how to do his job (and failed miserably). I stood there, looking at my pizza getting colder by the second, and he wouldn't even make eye contact. He kept sorting the orders and sliding plates around. He never smiled nor did he look up to acknowledge anyone. NOT COOL! When he finally got his #%*$ together he put my pizza on a plate and cut it, and yelled out my name. When I got my pizza it was cold and my wife was already done with hers. It was a terribly disappointing experience. The sad part is that the food and the concept is extremely high quality. The mismanagement of this particular establishment is horrific and poor customer experience is the end result. Oh and the restaurant was so cold this evening that my wife and several other people were shivering and had to wear their coats. One couple had to go out to their car and bring in a blanket to wrap their children in because they were shivering. They were out of straws. Soda was flat. Proper management, staffing and training are the three things that could really improve this establishment. I hope they see this post and take it to heart because they could be so much better than they were today or last Sunday! read more

This is my first time ordering MOD Pizza and I'm rather disappointed. Not necessary with the quality of food but the lack of attention to detail. I did not receive the Caesar MOD salad or the black cherry soda. After cycling 100 miles in the Bike MS Ride to the River it is most upsetting not to receive the items ordered. I LOVE MOD!!!! Every Friday is pizza night and our family of four can't wait for Friday to come around so we can go to MOD! We are are so regular that the staff always greets us with a friendly familiar smile and usually knows our name for the order and what we want which my kids love. We love all the topping choices and that each of us get exactly what we want. If you've never been, be aware it's thin crust so NON thin crust lovers should probably head elsewhere. My only complaint about this place is that the brussel sprouts are a seasonal item . Now my pizza is missing that little something but still smokes any other pizza in town. Can I have a sixth star, please!!! Okay, to setup my review I should start with the fact that my wife is severely allergic to tomatoes. We are used to restaurants either not taking this seriously or being annoyed by the extra work required to avoid even slight cross-contamination... so we do not eat out much. Enter Robin and her MOD Pizza crew. They not only take her allergy seriously, but seem to take pride in the extra preparation and care they give her during the experience. Last week Robin saw us coming and had already washed her hand and was putting on a new pair of gloves when we entered. She was her usual cheery self and my wife had a great time talking to her as she methodically pulled all of her topping from the untouched refrigerator, to avoid any chance of contamination. To top it all off Eric has learned that my wife doesn't like large pieces and had already cut her pizza in to smaller pieces before I could even request it. Tables had to be cleaned before you could sit. Floor pretty dirty, many dropped items & crumbs, especially the kitchen. The crust is one price, the toppings free; But unless you want a skimpy pizza, you stand there & tell them how much of each item you want on your pizza. I found out the hard way. The pizza was good otherwise, would have been better with more of each topping. Very skimpy, because I did not know you needed to stand & guide them through the process. The fellow who brought my pizza to the table practically dropped it in my lap. I was quick, & that was the only reason it did not land in my lap. He had a "don't care" kind of attitude about him as well. It was close to the end of his shift. His entire demeanor was not the best. Cashier was okay, tired possibly, tolerant, but wanted to move you along. I will say, that it would be a good place for a personal pizza with just veggies & herbs. Really good pizza crust we had the Lucy & the Dillon both were pretty good. The no named cake thing was stellar! The staff seems more interested in gabbing than cleaning off the tables & the floors were very dirty as was the drink area. That was one other table than ours. I enjoyed my trip to MOD. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Dining area was nice and clean. It was a nice day out so it was great to have the option to sit on the patio and enjoy the food. The ingredients were fresh and the sauce was good. Roasted garlic was really good! I enjoyed the over all taste of the pizza and my only complaint is that it wasn't very filling. Super thin crust. I went to pick up an order here and had another order in the car, they were both being delivered to close places so they had me pick up this mod order. When i got there they ignored me standing at the online order area and after 10 minutes asked what I needed and I said I'm here to pick up a Uber eats order she goes and puts it in the oven. When we walked in the place was nearly empty and their stations were a mess. They took forever to bring our orders out, when I asked why they said they burnt one pizza and tore the other taking it out the oven so they were remaking both of them. She then proceeded to ask if I wanted the ruined pizza and I told her to throw it away and she started giggling as I walked back to my table. The ceilings were also leaking above our table and the restroom were a mess. So good. So cheap. So fast. Stopped in to this lil gem after a coworker recommended it. So you pick your pizza and then the fun begins. You get to put whatever decadent, fresh ingredients you want on your pie at no extra charge. We ended up getting 3 pizzas and a salad. It was so much fun picking toppings and getting creative. The pizza, staff and esthetic of MOD Pizza was great! My wife and I walked in and there was a line to order. The staff moved the line along very quickly and were very helpful when we ordered for the first time. I ordered a mini pizza that was vegan friendly and a small salad. Everything was delicious! That brick oven (I think that's what they use ha ha) made the pizza taste awesome and expensive. The prices were very low for the quality of food you get at a "fast food" style pizza chain. I would definitely recommend MOD Pizza to anyone looking for good quality, fast and delicious pizza built the way you want it! read more

My family and I were greeted with a friendly smile upon walking in and we were asked if it was our first time here. The staff was very polite, professional and efficient. The restaurant was clean and well organized. Our first pizza was fresh, hot out of the oven even before we got our drinks and a table. Alex Martinez, the GM even came out and greeted us and thanked us for coming. Piper is the main person who served us, but all employees were great and genuine when interacting with us. This is the second time I have ever been to a MOD's. The first time was at the Lakeway, Texas location off of 620 and I wasn't impressed with the employees there. They were not neat and clean like the ones at store in New Braunsfels, Texas. I won't be going back to that store, but will drive over to the New Braunsfels location. My boyfriend and I have been regulars at MOD for over a year. The last few visit the restaurant has been dirty and the food hasn't been as fresh. We visited tonight and to say they place was filthy is an understatement! The floors were sticky, trash / food was under the tables, every single table was dirty and had food on them, and to top if off the food was awful. I'll start this off by disclosing that I am a pizza slob, quite the opposite of the dastardly pizza snob. I'll eat just about any pizza, LCs, PJs, PH etc. etc. Regardless of my endless will to devour the most enjoyable, or most deplorable of the many pies out there, there are some rare occasions when the stars align and I am left utterly satisfied with what must be the nectar of the gods. After braving the hellish landscape of neighboring HEB, ripe with unattended youths and buggering buggy drivers, I found myself famished and absolutely lusting for some chance to once again find that sweet sweet nectar of the gods. Great fortune bestowed itself upon me when trying to escape the deathtrap ,tarmac maze. I had not ever had MOD pizza but it was so close, and so inviting, almost as if it was there for me and me alone! Oh how I relish the smell of that heavenly place, greeted at thr front door by all of the smells imaginable! The most wonderful staff eased me through the foreign process, as if guiding me like a mountain sherpa, through the passes and valleys, over the peaks and hills... and then from the furnace of love, came forth the most beautiful pizza pie this side of the mason dixon line, the cheese so stringy, the vegetables so very well heated, and an aroma that would knock the socks off of any pizza buff, pie perfectionist, or deep dish derelict! Anyway, manager was awesome and she had one heck of a crew helping her out. You've gotta be kidding. Cheap pizza doesn't mean better pizza folks. After standing in line for other customers that couldnt figure out wtf to order.. (Its a new pizza place just order pepperoni). To get 3 slices of pepperoni on any pizza is a crime. Secondly, overcooking a pizza (burnt to a crisp) is being dead in the water. And then telling me it was only $4 i can order another one is guaranteed to make me never visit again. read more
