Inedible looking pizza, not even hot!!
    Hillary K.

OK, I am still fuming at this place so I need to calm down. First off, I ordered online. Boyfriend went to pick up, he didn't know I ordered a drink ($3.59) so just grabbed what was ready. No cup, so no drink. They also didn't include the lil' cheese packets I requested. Free but WTF? The side salad is GODDAMN $8 dollars and it is TINY. The pizza looks inedible - see photo. It's not even warm. We live a 5 min drive away. My boyfriend wouldn't take anything back for a refund. I am beyond upset at this place. I spent almost $30 GD dollars for this cr@p!! And I even tipped! If their website was even remotely user friendly, I'd ask for a refund on there! I am unemployed & thought I was getting a decent deal, boy howdy this place is a GD joke! OK!! The main peeps at MOD have reached out & were awesome, I will try this place again and LYK how it goes, it was VERY cool of them!

It's all about the sauce for me...and the sauce here just didn't grab me at "hello." My first time at this location on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. I love the "made to order" concept where you pick your size pizza, type of crust, cheeses and toppings for a reasonable price. I ordered my individual pizza with red sauce, mozzarella, and lots of veggies..trying to eat a little healthier...lol...The girl who took my order didn't smile once which added to my 3 star review. They called my name around 15 mins later to pick up my boxed pizza. I grabbed it and headed out. It didn't have much flavor and I ended up throwing half of it out. I have been to other locations and my pizza was better. Maybe the sauce was off that day. *There is plenty of seating inside. They have 2 rather big rooms. They also have a gated outdoor patio. *Plenty of parking

interior with the nice, big light bulbs hanging from the high ceiling. I like it. Especially the high ceiling.

I finally went to Mod Pizza on 10/29/25 to mainly see what the HYPE is ALL about? I walked in and was very hungry since I was in this lovely shopping center for 8 and half hours. Killing few birds with one stone. I wanted to try different stores, restaurants, bakery and I did. Even got my hair washed at Supercuts. This MOD pizza is conveniently located in the shopping center of West Laurel Canyon & Oxnard with multiple other businesses. The minute I walked in, the place was very intriguing and found it pretty cool. Jessie was nice, friendly with a calm voice & knowledgeable enough to explain to me the process of how they make their pizzas. I ordered from their menu, instead of building my own pizza. I ordered their Tristan pizza which came with Mozzarella, Asiago, Mushrooms, Roasted Red peppers, Garlic Pesto finish & I added grilled chicken to have my protein. I ordered the crust to be handcrafted, (thin to medium) Pizza was good, but could have been better; if it was not drenched in OIL. I had to use 7 napkins to damp the oil before taking the 1st bite. After that, the pizza was really good, fresh, hot and moist. I also got a bottle of orange Fanta drink which was refreshing since I haven't seen or had one in years. The place was somewhat casual/trendy looking with nice high ceilings, big, round light bulbs hanging from the ceiling, playing up beat 90's music which I liked. Restaurant was somewhat clean and so was the bathroom. I had to use the bathroom and when I was done using, i tried to flush the toilet and the toilet handle was broken. Brought it to Jessie's attention, and his response was oh, we called the repair man and they still haven't fixed it. What?? I go, please do something about it because I don't want you guys to think that I didn't flush the toilet. It had a nice size patio and was clean. They do on line pick up, catering and the parking is abundant. Also had nice, inspirational pictures on their walls. I will go there again, but not anytime soon.

If you're into fully loaded, build-your-own pizzas, this place is a winner. Tons of topping choices, friendly staff, and super reasonable pricing -- $14 for an 11-inch pizza with unlimited toppings? That's a steal these days. I went all-in and made what I'm calling my "go-big-or-go-home pizza." My toppings included mozzarella cheese, juicy pineapple (yep, I'm team pineapple), marinated artichoke hearts, fresh mushrooms, pepperoni, ham, sausage, and a sprinkle of bacon. It was seriously loaded. The crust had a great crispy bite with a little chew, and everything came out hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The ingredients tasted super fresh. The place itself was spotless, modern, and had a fun, upbeat vibe. The staff behind the counter were cool aslo. If I'm back in the area or spot another location, I'll definitely be building another crazy creation so on!

Great pizza spot! I love that you can choose your own toppings, and they cook it right away so everything comes out hot and fresh. The crust was perfectly cooked--not too soft or too crispy--and the toppings were evenly baked and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality and care put into each pizza. The place also has a nice, welcoming ambiance that makes it even more enjoyable to eat there. Fast service, great taste, and a fun way to customize your meal. I'll definitely be coming ba

I think this is my first bad review since starting Yelp..... Where to start? Maybe the hair UNDER the pizza, small but still there. The tables weren't wiped clean nor were the floors.. trash and scraps on the floor and nearly every table was dirty. Only when one of the workers saw me sneak a pic of the table next to us did they come clean it /: Customer service was nonexistent. There was no welcome in, or a decent thank you see you text time! I understand midday shifts as I also work in the food industry, so I understand how much a simple smile or welcome really makes a difference. As the worker behind the glass helped us i ordered the Italian salad with the "zesty" sauce... and my partner ordered her own personalized pizza. He put tomatoes on mine that weren't supposed to be there and after my partner CLEARLY stated mushrooms he put on olives. When she asked for mushrooms instead he had attitude when taking them off and replacing the olives with mushrooms. She did however enjoy her pizza and took it home for leftovers! The salad was wilted lettuce barely edible and that "zesty" salad dressing tasted like water. No flavoring, nothing. Not quite sure what I was expecting but I've never had a bad experience with a salad from a pizza place... The two pair great together.. For my first time trying this chain not a good experience. Maybe it was just this location but I won't be returning. Only reason it got 2 stars was my girl loved her pizza. For seating there's plenty. Booth tables in side with a couple of high tables. I even saw hidden ones towards the back. There was an outdoor seating area I didn't get pictures of. Decent decor with high ceilings and a max occupancy of 112 people.

My wife and I had a chance to try this MOD Pizza location tonight. I parked in the parking garage near the movie theater and she parked in the private lot where this MOD pizza is. They were not busy at all when we came, they only had 1 guest dining inside. I went with the mod pizza 6 inch and my wife got the 11 inch. For my pizza I just got bacon, ham, pepperoni and pineapple. My wife got her pizza with spicy Pepperoni, peppers, mushroom, jalapeno and more toppings. We ate our pizza inside the store and staff are very friendly here. I was talking to the man prepping our pizza and he told me they been here for about 4 years now.

Had a great lunch with my daughter who loves pizza. I ordered a custom pizza for her with sausage, olives, roasted peppers, green peppers and oregano and loved it. It tasted amazing. I had a slice ... I ordered a MOD garden salad and was disappointed. I literally paid $13 for a bowl of mixed greens with a few cubes of tomatoes and cucumbers. They put so much dressing it was impossible to finish. I won't be ordering any salad from here ever again. I'll stick to the pizza. It was good. As far as service it was good and the location at the new NoHo is great with a lot of indoor and outdoor seating ....

Thin crust that is very flavorful, good sauce, not too much cheese, just enough, not that deep dish stuff that midwestern people think is pizza but is something else entirely. When I first moved here, you could not get the real deal, it was disappointing. Then the grandson of Regina's Pizza in the north End opened up the Pizza Connection is Canoga Park and it was really good. He opened a bunch of other locations but over time, not sure why, the pizza just wasn't as good. My child Emily Asher Kellis disagrees, still loves it, but she was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, so what does she really know about pizza. After trying a bunch of different "New York City" pizza joints that were just ok, we found Santino's NY Pizza in Sherman Oaks and were very happy with it, authentic East Coast pizza. Well last week I discovered they went out of business. Oh no, what were we going to do? So I researched and found there was a place in Sherman Oaks called The Pizza Wagon of Brooklyn, only two locations, here and in Brooklyn and people said it was the real deal. Tonight we tried it, and you know what, it might just be even better. Santino's sauce had a slight sweetness to it that we liked that this doesn't but the sauce is good, and the crust is even more flavorful and they are a bit more liberal with the olive oil usage, which true East Coasters love while I am told that most health conscious Southern Californians do not. Anyway, we are quite happy that we can continue to get our pizza craving satisfied when we just gotta have some slices.

I don't think it gets too busy to the point where you can't park on the street, and I'm not sure if they have a parking lot in the back, but you should be fine on Riverside Dr. I was greeted by a man up front who asked for my order and checked to see if it was ready. As he went to check on my order, I got a glimpse of the restaurant, and straight to the left is a bar area with a tv and the place has that old school pizza parlor vibe with dark tones that really set the mood. I'll definitely have to come back and eat there to get the full experience. When the guy came back, I paid and went back to my car, where you'll find most people who come here. Once my order was received, I rushed back home to get these bad boys cut up for the fights! I usually go with a few 12" pies, including the option of spinach margaritas for the vegetarians, Gino's Supreme, and the Meaty Legend. Sometimes we'll get the hot wings, French fries, and mozzarella sticks for the kids because I noticed they don't really like this style of deep dish pizza. It's sauce-heavy with a lot of mozzarella cheese, and the crust is a bit different from what they are used to. However, we love it, and I must admit, I'm a huge meat person, but I think the spinach margarita may be the tastiest one out of the bunch! Anyway, these are a bit expensive, but they're the real deal. Overall, if you're looking for some Chicago-style deep-dish pizza, Gino's will get you there.
