Ordered from one of there pre made up pizzas from the menu for my daughter and I. Pizza came out hot and ready to go, hers was delicious and she loved it and the lemonade. Mine was equally as good but I requested some additional toppings that didn't make it on the pie...I went back to the counter and asked if they could just throw some pepperoni on it and reheat and instead they remade it, gave us the "messed up" one and offered me a drink for the mistake (which I declined but it was still a nice offer). Absolutely perfect customer service and handled very well by the young man who I assume was the manager. The food alone was worth 4 stars but the exemplary customer service give its a very rare, for me, 5 stars. Will be highly recommending this to my neighbors and business partners in the area (I work at a nearby cell phone store). Very very well done. read more

I was there a couple weeks ago, I had just finished my pizza. One of their former employees came in and had got a pizza. She was standing where you stand to get the pizzas talking to an old co-worker. They both were taking about the one waiting for the pizza got fired. She had said that she got fired after only having one write up which was only for being late. Apparently mod is a three write up rule? Then you're let go? Well no. She was let go after one bad experience with a customer. Which the way she had explained it to her old co-worker seemed unfair to get fired over. This mod will not be getting mine or my family's service. We used to be regulars but now we will find a different place to eat. We have nothing but good encounters with the girl who had gotten fired. She has help my daughter out before when my daughter didn't have enough money to pay for her food, she just gave her the pizza and a drink and covered it. Defiantly never coming here again. Service is horrible. Management is terrible. read more

I wish I had better things to say about MOD Pizza. All the ingredients to ensure success for this fast casual pizza restaurant are there: attractive surroundings, other offerings besides the pizza (salads, etc), beer and wine, cleanliness, brick oven, seemingly able and bright young employees, excellent parking, and so on. Perhaps it wasn't fair to review them during the lunch rush? I don't know, but it doesn't click for me. And truthfully I really think it has to do with the fast casual pizza concept. Pizza deserves more respect than this, and not everything has to be fast and casual. The ingredients and the crust looked great, but were tasteless. The employees looked tired and like they were phoning in their work performances. Perhaps they have a bad manager or are working a couple of jobs to make ends meet. I had to do that during college myself. I hope things get better. It's hard. On the other hand, I had to wait ten minutes to pay my check. Come on now! So no more fast casual pizza restaurants for me. It's worth the wait and extra money to get the tasty treat I crave. I hope these young employees get new leadership and a sense of purpose soon. I love Mod Pizza. It's so much better than other pizza places like Pizza Hut or Dominos. This is my local Mod and we usually get curbside pickup or door dash when we are super lazy (Covid woo). I love being able to make my own custom crazy pizza and my boyfriend likes the Calexico pie (buffalo chicken). Mod is decently priced which I love, I also love that if I'm not being a hungry hippo I can usually save some slices for lunch. The staff are very nice and fast. We haven't had any pizza mess ups yet. We love this Mod and will keep coming back! read more

This location sits right across 122nd from my house. Placed an order online, trekked on over and waited at the pizza pick-up area. I ordered a gluten-free sausage/mushroom/olive pizza and I expect it to take a little longer than usual; however, it took longer than usual. Turns out they missed my order but acknowledged the issue, apologized and let me have my pick of a milkshake or anything from the beverage case. The pizza - hot and delicious - service - exceptional. The interaction turned this from a 4-star review into a 5-star review and I will be back. So easy! read more

Being regulars at the Milwaukie location, we have become accustomed to a foot loose and fancy free Peter-Pan'esk leave your worries at the door atmosphere. No such luck at this location the staff seems to Be more concerned about accommodating and making themselves comfortable then they are the customer. With the scraping of the floors as a sweeping technique and the no bother to lift the metal seats up as they screeching across the floor again then again and again three tables with six seats It's a little nerve-racking but you're trying to enjoy your delectable hand made mod pizza. I live in the neighborhood and have been going here for almost 3 years. It was great when they first opened. Great customer service, enough employees on staff, and a manager that could direct. But the last year, I've seen numerous employee changes, not enough employees for the amount of customers, no manager, chaos, dirty gloves, cross contamination, unhappy employees, and just filthiness of the tables. Where is the manager? It's like a circus in there. Also, the pizzas have been under cooked or burnt. It was great at the beginning but I'll pay more for a better pizza and better environment elsewhere. read more

Slowest Mod I have ever been to. Plenty of people working, shouldn't have taken 20minutes to take my order and another 25 to get my food.

The staff was simultaneously courteous, super humanly efficient and accurate with my fairly complicated order. Due to food allergies I normally don't eat out, but gave this place a shot (or more accurately my hot date wanted to eat there) and was very pleasantly surprised by their ability to accommodate my dietary restrictions. At 10 bucks and some change their pizza was not only cheaper, but infinitely more delicious than the frozen cardboard GF, dairy free crap I'd get at the Winco next door. read more

Wonderfully convenient place! Stopped by for a quick bite, not really knowing what to expect. It was a bit hectic with a few large groups coming in, and I think the employees were trying to be as fast as possible to ensure everyone in each table got food out around the same time. I had a lovely MOD pizza with red sauce, pesto, sausage, mushrooms, anchovies (I said light anchovies but she piled on a lot, though), fresh basil, and extra cheese. It came out awesome. My friend went overboard and got pretty much 80% of the toppings on a mega pizza (basically an extra layer of dough, sauce, and cheese underneath the MOD pizza), so that was a touch soggy. But the beauty of this place is that the pizzas are so customizable, so everyone can get what they want in the size that they want. read more

I have a few people tell me they really liked this place, so we had to check it out. This is a quick serve pizza joint (thinks Subway or Chipotle, but for little pizzas). My biggest issue is the crust, which is very flat and dry. If you load up more than a few ingredients, the whole slice turns soggy, otherwise it's completely dry. I didn't like my pizza at all (The Tristan) however my brother got a more traditional pizza and liked it. If you don't mind a very thin/dry crust, then this might be a good option for you. read more

Last time I went there was 6 years ago. Forgot the name, but yelp! Had them and went there again. Same taste, great thin crust pizza. I ordered mini salad which I never ordered before, but lady made a mod size. Great food, but I couldn't finish them all. Took them to hotel and used microwave for breakfast. They are open late and it's perfect for the late dinner in this hood. read more

Limited to 4 stars for two reasons: Crust isn't properly tossed. You just can't get a great crust with a press. Secondly, like to be able to order a bigger pizza. Limiting to a personal pizza isn't as social an experience and not suitable for a party at all.. Now, why they are GOOD: Freshness of ingredient and variety of ingredients. I was able to build the pizza I always wanted the first time. Prices are very fair. The wood burner oven is nice but paddle insertion and extraction of those little pizzas is labor intensive as a lot of them need to go in and out. If they were planning to be limited to individual pizzas, they maybe could have employed a conveyor system where nobody will eventually get a pizza paddle handle in the face. I have had excellent pizzas at other places that had wood burning conveyor systems. Did appreciate the use of a variety of real woods in the decor, salvaged or otherwise. read more

I'm not sure what all the hype is about. The facility was nice - clean, modern, nice outdoor seating area. The pizza was fine but nothing to write home about. I do like thin crust and this is thin and crispy (6" personal size) but by the time I got towards the end the middle was getting soggy. They are very stingy on the toppings so, as additional toppings are no charge, I had them immediately add extra sauce because they put little on the pie. The flavor seemed pretty bland but for a $4.87 pizza it was ok. While the staff was nice and remembered my order to bring it outside to me, the service was slow. The customers are partly to blame because with the choice of topping right in front of you (a la Subway) they get bogged down in ordering. Having said this, the staff was really slow. With five adults and two kids in line ahead of me it took about 10-15 minutes to actually have my turn at ordering. Their take-away boxes have a motto on them, one word of which is "speed." They were not speedy in the ordering process but the pie was baked and delivered relatively quickly. All-in-all this was an ok lunch but there are much better pizza's in the immediate vicinity. read more

Our sever Avery was completely disrespectful and has absolutely no type of customer service skills, as well as his co workers on this particular shift . We placed an online order, showed up to pick my order up approached the counter and asked when my pizza would be done and they said the promise time wasn't for another ten minutes. I the waited about twenty extra minutes, allowed the whole line to get there pizza, knowing I had placed mine about 10 minutes prior to any of theirs and still had no one ask if I had been helped. After twenty five minutes of waiting I approached the counter and Avery went to the table in the middle and tossed my cold pizza to me. I asked him "How long had my pizza been sitting there?" We've never eaten at a MOD pizza before even though we have one right by our house. Perfect time to try it is when your 1000 miles from home instead of right down the street. MOD sells individual size custom pizzas where you essentially put on whatever topping you want. They have several pizza options already laid out for you in case you can't decide or want to try a new combination. We ordered 2 pizzas and a rosemary puff bread. The rosemary puff was hollow dough with a little rosemary and butter on top. Almost like a heated up pita bread. It was alright. The pizzas were both good and cooked perfectly. The best part about this place was the cashier who was busy running between cooking pizzas, serving pizzas, and having people pay. All this while 2 others took orders and made the pizzas. Eventually this guy got help from a 4th who must have been on break but man he was really hustling. Thumbs up to that guy. read more
