We love Mod. However, the three girls working tonight were each super pissy and seemed almost annoyed that we were gracing them with our patronage. Nobody greeted us or said hold on a second as she finished doing something. She didn't even ask what we wanted when she was finished with the person before us. She just sat there and stared at us expectantly when it came time to order. When our pizza was done the girl hurled it onto the counter and walked away while tiredly giving an obligatory "have a good night". So I would suggest not coming within the half hour before they close because everyone has a stick up their butt and makes you feel like you should've gone elsewhere with your money. as a customer of the establishment, i expect to be treated with respect regardless of extenuating circumstances. once my pizza was ordered i waited for my name to be called, and after roughly 10 minutes, it still wasn't called. i asked one of the captains, Jacky, if my pizza had come out yet, and she turned her back and did not answer me. i then asked Corey if my pizza had come out, and Jacky turned back around and said "i already told you, your pizza is right here". when i arrived i was not greeted, and when i left no one said anything, and other customers were greeted upon exit and entry. i expect to be treated with the same dignity and equality as any other customer when i am paying for my pizza. needless to say this environment is becoming exceptionally hostile and i expect better from the employees. read more

This has been a favorite in our family but I would caution you to check your pizza before you leave if you get a to go order. My pizza was so burnt it was inedible. I threw it away. I'm shocked they would even try and send it out. I had them remake one for me once without me asking because it had a small hole which I thought was no big deal. Still tasted fine. This did not and I am very disappointed that they would do this to someone. If I lived closer I would have went back. 3 pizzas all burnt. 1 completely inedible. read more

Dang, I can't believe no one has reviewed this place yet. I'm more then happy to be the first, but I have a feeling that although this might be the first 5 star review it won't be the last. This place kills it, get this you get your own hand made pizza or salad for only $7.17. Yeah I know, what's the catch right? That is what I was asking the entire time just waiting for someone to say surprise give me another $5! That never happened.. The pizza was in the top 3 that I have ever eaten. It's awesome, the toppings are super fresh and it left me thinking about it all day after having it for lunch. And if that isn't enough to get you to run to this place, the folks working are just simply awesome. They are all so happy and friendly, everyone (and I mean everyone) was totally focused on the customers in the restaurant, not chatting about their night at the bar like so many other places I've been to. As an example of the difference I just happened to go three doors down to an unnamed Mexican fast food restaurant just yesterday and the employees there acted like they were on a chain gang in comparison to the folks at MOD. Heck, even the owner (just had that look) was walking around talking to everyone and cleaning tables, nice touch shows they really care about their customers. Pizza and service were amazing!! Very fair prices as well. Tried this place for the first time during the lunch rush and never felt rushed along or anything!! They explain how it all works, give suggestions and even threw in some garlic bread for free. You can either choose from their recipes or come up with your own! This is my favorite pizza place! I've loved Round Table for years, but they are a lot more expensive and not as customizable! MOD pizzas only cost about $8 for a personal pizza. Ordering is kind of like Subway sandwiches, where you stand in front of glass looking at all of your options, and you can choose anything you want, and even double up on your favs! I love an all meat pizza, but my wife loves veggies with a gluten free crust. They only have thin crust, I think. read more

Love this place! I always get 2 Mini Pizzas: the Jasper and the Caspian. The Jasper is a sausage and mushroom pizza and the Caspian is a BBQ chicken pizza. I love the fact i can make my own pizza, but the dough is not good!!! We even had them stick it back in the oven as it wasnt done. It is also loud. It is loud from them constantly yelling out names. WOW! I'm impressed!! Never expected such a great pizza, sure wish I hadn't waited all this time to give it a try. I love that you can create your own specialty pizza and with such a large assortment of quality toppings. To see flavorful choices like fresh basil, arugula, field greens, whole roasted garlic and roasted cauliflower...and 3 types of sausage, not to mention the variety of sauces such as fresh pesto, and cheeses like feta, gorgonzola and asiago... oh my goodness. Then after selecting all my favorite things I was even able to top it off with a drizzle of balsamic/fig glaze or whatever you prefer! I wasn't sure about the cracker thin crust or if it would hold up the hefty amount of toppings but it too was perfect! I was hungry but could only eat 1/2 of my original/med. size that was a mere $7.99, what a deal. Then the fact that the fountain drinks include 2 delicious types of lemonade (berry one incredible) AND 2 types of ice tea was a nice addition to the typical soda choices. They even offer two types of beer which will be nice when I take my hubby in the summer. I like the fact that you can do salad creations ON a breadstick/cheese crust, unique idea. We will most definitely be back, even though our favorite sushi place is a couple spots down there in Sunrise. Thanks and don't change a thing! The first time I walked into mod my first thought was, it's like subway but with pizza. I like the idea that my family can get whatever we all want on our pizzas and not have to comprise, especially with my kids who like only cheese and Canadian bacon on their pizza. I have had better pizza but mod pizza is good and I can get whatever I want on my own pizza without my kids input and that makes it a good choice for my family. Every time we have gone there the staff has been very friendly and from reading other reviews I guess I have been lucky every time I have gone because I have not waited very long. It has been a 10-15 min average wait when I go but to make and cook a pizza I figure that's not bad I would definitely recommend mod to others read more
