MOD 11 inch thin crust pizza
    Sheryl L.

I wanted to take advantage of the season of rewards: week 3 special which was buy 1pizza and drink, get another pizza and drink free. The unlimited toppings really appeals to me. I love to ask for extra pepperoni, Italian sausage, and mozzarella cheese. The finished pizza looked good but it was missing some gooey cheese in some places. Next time, I would ask for a handful of cheese before they bake it. I liked the taste of the thin crust and fresh toppings. The 11 inch pizza is big enough for 2 people. The lemonade and blackberry lemonade were refreshing. Employees need to keep the kitchen clean. I noticed trash and debris on the floor.

Great add your own stuff pizza.

Walk in.... No one says anything to us. Order food. Great food! Bathroom. dirty. No paper to dry your hands. Pee all over the floor and toilet. Thank goodness I didn't have to Eat. Walking out......nothing from anyone working. No "good bye". Nothing. And there is a tip jar?? For what? I have to pick up my food when my name is called out. Get my own drinks. Throw my own trash away. Not sure why I would tip. Food was great. But the area/regional manager needs to know that employees need to engage in the customer. I probably would have left a little tip if someone would have acknowledged me and my family. Oh when when I walked out, I looked back and said to the non-socialable employees and said thanks for everything. All four of them looked up and said....NOTHING.

Grilled chicken, Gorgonzola, jalapeños, and red hot sauce

I stopped here for a quick lunch and got a specialty kids size pizza. Service was great and prompt. It wasn't too busy so my order was ready fairly quick. The Gorgonzola cheese was a bit overpowering in flavor but overall pizza was decent. Ambiance was moderate noise level and spurts of a lunch rush. Good place for a quick lunch!

I have been coming to MOD Pizza for years, and I absolutely love them no matter which location I go to. They have a very sleek, clean dining area and every location I've been to also has outdoor seating with umbrellas to keep the sun off of you. They have a great concept of one price for the size and crust type and add as many toppings as you like, for no additional cost! They have a huge variety of toppings, sauces, cheeses, everyone can leave there happy. I don't think I've ever experienced bad service, they have an assembly line, and everyone works together to get your pizza assembled and into the oven as quickly as possible. I like to have them leave mine in a few extra minutes to get my crust nice and crispy, and their crust is delicious! They do offer gluten-free crust and they ask you if it is for preference or allergy, and if you let them know, it's an allergy they change their gloves. Though I do not recommend this for people that have an actual gluten allergy, but just a gluten sensitivity. And they also have salads!

What goes a long way is the small acts of service that ensures your whole meal is what you want it to be. I did not get the name of the staff member. He took my order for the MOD "Calexico", and asked if there was anything else I wanted. A minute later, he asked if I wanted "Bleu cheese" on the pizza. Thank the Lord above that he asked because I dislike Bleu cheese. I went home and enhaled the pizza. MOD Pizza is the best fast prepped and served pizza joint I know. I will never stop getting Pizza here.

    A terribly prepared pizza.

Placed an online order; went to the online-order line while an online employee continues folding boxes, ignores that I'm standing there but helps the customer who walked up behind me. Explained I was there for an online order to which she just points to the end of the counter. One pizza was cold because it was prepared at a different time than the second pizza which wasn't even ready when I arrived. I check the pizza, and it's half ass prepared. Mushrooms, ham, pepperonis, peppers...and it's literally 3 pieces of ham, 3.5 slices of mushrooms, and peppers sprinkled at the center of the pizza. Not even sure where the cheese went. Disappointed.

    Pepperoni Cheese and Spinach Pizza

Dined in and ordered two Mods. I enjoyed a Mod pizza with Pepperoni, Spinach, and Mozzarella Cheese. The second Mod was Pepperoni, Sausage and Spinach. Ingredients were fresh. Pizzas were delicious. Staff were welcoming and the restaurant itself was immaculate.

Stopped in late Monday around 8pm and the staff was friendly and greeted me when I walked in. The guy that helped me put my pizza together was welcoming and chit chatted with me while we went down the line and even backed me up on wanting to trying anchovies on my pizza. Only got 2 of them to try. Never had that one a pizza and was feeling daring. That's the best thing about MOD you can try any and all toppings for no additional cost. The pizza came out hot and fresh, when I got home the first bite was so delicious As for the anchovies on a pizza I don't think I will do that again. It was salty and fishy, different than what I'm used to but I will keep the anchovies on my Cesar salad instead.

Classic white with parm, mozzarella, ricotta.. topped with basil, oregano, roasted garlic ... drizzled with balsamic fig glaze.

Over priced and the pizza is sub par. Not sure how they even stay in business, to be honest.

The first night I was greeted by a friendly host and sat at the bar, where Billy took great care of me. He recommended the Cotto e Salsiccia, and I'm so glad he did. It was easily one of the best pizzas I've had. While I was there, the cheesemaker let me try a bite of the fresh mozzarella they were making in-house. It was still warm and absolutely delicious. The next night I was feeling a little homesick after being away for work, and all I could think about was that pizza. I walked back in and the host greeted me by name. I sat at the bar again, where another bartender remembered me from the night before, and Billy came over just to say hi. It seems like such a small thing, but when you're traveling alone, being welcomed back like that can completely change your evening. What really impressed me was seeing that it wasn't just me. The guy next to me ordered two pizzas to go, and when the chef brought them out he smiled and said, "Oh, Jose! I thought this order looked familiar!" You can tell they actually know their regulars and genuinely enjoy what they do. The second night I ordered the Fontina e Salsiccia, and somehow it was just as good as the first pizza. Everything is cooked in the wood-fired oven--even the wings--and you can taste the difference. The crust has that perfect char, the ingredients are fresh, and it's the kind of authentic Neapolitan pizza that keeps you thinking about it long after you've left. I've eaten at a lot of good restaurants while traveling, but very few have made me feel as welcome as Dough did. Great food is one thing. Great people are what made me come back the very next day. I'll absolutely be back the next time I'm in San Antonio.

I can see a child burning their hand terribly on this! What did the restaurant do? Nothing... several times we suggested something be done and not until the manager realized that yes, this is a problem did he do something remotely responsible. I couldn't enjoy the food! Every dish feels thoughtfully curated with tried-and-true recipes rooted in Chef Luca and his family's Northern Italian traditions. This is the kind of place where quality takes priority over quantity. Our server, Gary, was fantastic. He was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and passionate about Italian food and wine. His recommendations were spot-on and his enthusiasm felt so genuine. We started with a bread basket accompanied by a little sampling of tapenade, which was savory, briny, and a perfect complement to the warm bread. Came in with a group of four, we kicked things off with the burrata starter--a surprisingly fun and shareable adventure of baked burrata, fresh crostini, roasted cauliflower, asparagus, sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes, and basil cream. There was a lot happening on the plate, but it all worked beautifully together. For our entrées, we ordered the Tartufo, Cinghiale, Bolognese, and Carbonara. And let me just say, the Tartufo was a full-on dinner performance. Gary brought out steaming hot tagliatelle pasta and tossed it tableside inside a giant wheel of Parmesan. He then topped it with crab meat in brown butter before finishing it with a generous shaving of truffle. Every bite was like a perfectly timed symphony of flavors--rich, savory, buttery, and earthy, with nothing outshining the other. I'd put this dish up against anyone's nonna. I sampled the other three entrées as well, and every one was delicious. The gnocchi in the Cinghiale is an absolute must-try--pillowy, texturally delightful, and packed with flavor. Thank you, Nonna Osteria, for such an epic culinary experience. And a special shoutout to Gary for guiding us through the menu and making an already great dinner even better.
