Good pizza. Better people. This Mod Pizza could (and should) be considered a staple of Simi Valley cuisine and dining. Best bang for your buck pizza around, I recommend getting the Mega crust. The people working here manage to make buying a pizza feel like a warm hug from a friend.

Came here to grab takeout for dinner. They are still not allowing eat-in at this location due to the pandemic. You can order online or in store. The employees were super friendly and were working hard to keep up with all of the orders. They were plenty busy. There were a lot of online orders that delayed the in-store line a bit, but thats okay because we are all in this together. The pizza was cooked well and tasted great. There are lots of topping choices and they all looked fresh. I've been here several times before and it is always good. Can't wait until we can go back to dining in again. Looking forward to a return visit.

Usually pretty good, both food and service-wise. Tonight was an unfortunate exception. My wife and I ordered on the app for pickup. Everything went fine, until we got home. My pizza's crust was burnt to death on 2 1/2 pieces out of the 5. See attached picture. I don't k own how this happens; is quality not checked when boxing the pizzas? Either the guy (who I assume was the manager) didn't see and that means wasn't doing his job, or he saw it and didn't care; which is by far the worst of the two options. So now I had to drive back to restaurant and get a pizza remade. I was offered barely an apology and on the box of my re-made pizza, there was a card for a free pizza. But it was just sat there, nobody told me anything about the card, an apology when receiving the card, nothing. The male employee (who again, I'm guessing is the manager because the young woman actually doing the cooking of the pizzas had him check my remake before boxing it) and the young woman working were joking about the burnt crust. Saying the new one should be good "as long as you didn't burn this one" and both proceeded to chuckle. Now I agree, in the grand scheme of the world today, a burnt crust isn't that big of a deal. But every action has a consequence, no matter how seemingly insignificant. I had to leave my house to come back which means my wife had to eat her pizza by herself, on our only mutual day off this week. I had to take the time to leave her and my 15 month old son to go back to a restaurant we were all just at because someone didn't or wouldn't do their job the first time. If they saw it was burnt when we were there to pick it up, just tell me and fix it. Easy. No problem. But now I didn't get to eat dinner with my family if I wanted them to have hot food. The pizza shouldn't have made it into my hands as a customer. Quality checks by 2 employees either didn't happen or wasn't worth taking the time to fix. A burnt crust is a small thing, but everything affects everything. And a small burnt crust, that should have been fixed before I ever saw it, turned into a ruined dinner time for a family. Take some pride, check your standards. Do what's right.

Wish I weren't so poor. Wish my butt weren't magnetically attracted to foods that make me fat but here we are. Would like to know what brand of vegan cheese they use just to make sure it's casein-free. Very happy they don't charge extra for said cheese. It's nice to have unlimited toppings. Wish they had vegan ranch :(:(:( Super nice employees and my pizza was great But my dumb @s$ asked for roasted garlic so we won't be making that mistake again

I always devour their pizzas. They are fresh. Staff is so nice and polite. We are vegetarian and this is our go to pizza place with so many veggie options. I gave 4 stars as the cheesy garlic bread is too dry. Hope they can do something about it else everything is good here! Staff, food, ambience!

Stopped by here for lunch right after landing in LA and it was packed with a lunch rush. We ordered…read morethe pastrami dip, pastrami burger, small fries, and onion rings. The pastrami burger and onion rings were the highlights for me. The onion rings were super crispy with a nice, light batter. The burger hit the spot too. The fries were a bit underwhelming though, kind of bland and definitely needed more seasoning. Overall, a solid stop if you're craving pastrami, but I'd skip the fries next time.

Let's get one thing straight--The Hat isn't just good... it's the kind of place that makes every…read moreoverpriced, overhyped sandwich shop look completely ridiculous. I ordered the pastrami dip, and this is how it's supposed to be done. Not dry, not chewy, not some sad excuse for deli meat. This was juicy, tender, stacked high, and absolutely dripping with flavor. Every bite hits hard--rich, savory, and perfectly balanced. And the bread? Holds together like it actually wants to be part of the sandwich, not fall apart halfway through like a soggy mess. Now let's talk about the onion rings... because this is where they flex. You order a "large," and instead of some tiny portion pretending to be generous, they hand you a brown paper bag absolutely PACKED with crispy, golden onion rings. Not greasy, not limp--crunchy, hot, and seasoned properly. This is what a large is supposed to look like. Other places should be embarrassed. And the service? Fast, efficient, no nonsense. No attitude, no confusion, no standing around wondering what's going on. These people know exactly what they're doing. Orders come out quick, everything's hot, and the whole operation runs like a machine. That's how you handle volume without sacrificing quality--something a lot of places clearly can't figure out. No gimmicks. No trendy nonsense. No tiny portions dressed up to look fancy. Just big, bold, properly executed food that actually delivers on what it promises. Meanwhile, other spots are out here charging double for half the portion and calling it "premium." Stop it. This is the standard. Bottom line: If you want a real pastrami sandwich, real portions, and service that actually keeps up--go to The Hat. If not, go waste your money somewhere else. I'll be back. And next time, I'm getting another bag of those onion rings--because clearly, one isn't enough.

The Sandwich Spot - 5. The Hulk Sandwich on Dutch crunch roll

Whoa! The Skywalker Sandwich is phenomenal,I don't think I have ever had such a flavorful sandwich…read morebefore. The Dutch crunch bread type was very interesting and a must try,if you have never had it. I had everything on it. Mustard, mayo lettuce, tomato, pickles. Not sure what else was in it other than avocado but it was amazing. Customer service was much to be desired and the dude with the long dirty blonde hair definitely needs some lessons with explaining kindly rather than just pointing at a sign. This dude shouldn't be at the front line taking orders, who knows how much business he's losing as a result of his public social skills. Placing an order. Speaking with this guy was a very unpleasant experience. The owner needs to record the interaction and reactions of the employees and customers to see what's going in. The food? Fantastic! Couldn't recommend a better place to order a sandwich from. Service not so much. Would have given at least a 4 ,but again customer service skills is lacking here. The sandwich maker with the brown short hair is really nice and pleasant to interact with. Maybe ted Nugent should watch how he interacts with the public. Update: Mgmnt got back really quick and remediated the issue with the employee and hopefully improves over time. Sometimes, that's all it takes to get the full 5* stars, thanks Steve!

I decided to go with The Lake show sandwich, cause I love the Lakers and I love salami. In addition to salami, the sandwich came with their bomb sauce, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles. The sandwich was served hot and it was absolutely delicious. With every bite I experienced so many flavor notes. It was savory, a little sour, vinegary and also a little sweet from the ripe veggies. The yummy salami was perfectly complemented by the other ingredients and each bite was perfect, especially with the sourdough bread that I chose for my sandwich. For salami lovers, The Lake Show sandwich is top notch and a must try! The customer service was solid and the spot is pretty casual and has some tables i side for dining in. Will come back again when in the area!
