As a recent local of Simi Valley California, it is certainly a hobby of mine to search for new places to eat. Normally, I don't attend quick service restaurants other than chipotle or In n Out, and let me say, the food was spectacular. As I walked inside I was greeted by two gentlemen, I wasn't able to get one of their names because he had to go to the back. The gentlemen who made my pizza I believed was named Jack, he was very friendly, quick, and he cooked my pizza just right...A well deserved promotion! (Also I'm amazed by the amount of toppings you can choose from.) I grabbed my pizza and sat down towards the center of the restaurant where I noticed a young employee and a woman. This is when my hopes of giving five stars turned into three. The woman seemed to be the manager, and as a customer, It was hard for me to concentrate on my meal seeing how poorly this sincere employee was being treated, they seemed very novice. Of course as she proceeded to the back of the restaurant, I called the employee over to the table and asked them about what they thought about working here. The way they described their fellow co workers made me almost want to work there! Although, they explained the way they and many others are mistreated by the General Manager, including the use of the word "Favoritism". I have returned to MOD a few more times and every time I have gone in, I notice the general manager is always on her computer and spends her time out in the dining room...very unprofessional if you ask me. At one point I got up to refill my drink, as I was adding more ice, she shoved her cup directly in front of me, without saying "excuse me" or "sorry". Then I exclaimed that I found that rude, then she walked back to her table and proceeded on her lap top for the duration of my visit. As a former manager at a cheesecake factory in the valley, actions like this lead to termination and this should seriously be looked into. First time here today and I will be back. I really enjoyed that I got to build my own pizza with unlimitted number of toppings for only $8.99. So much cheaper than Toppers. I added some garlic on my pizza and it was so tasty. The only thing I didn't like was the tables weren't kept clean and there was lots of dust on top of the glass case where the toppings are. read more

Aweful: The only reason I went here for a while was because simi was without a little caesars. if pizza rev, is the poorman's pieology, this place is the poorman's pizza rev. I swear ive gotten sick twice from eating here because some ingredient gets stuck in my throat. it used to be the cheapest pizza in town. now its just the worst pizza in town read more

The service is awful. Tonight when I was in picking up my food the guy working was rude and disrespectful. He argued about my order for pick up and ended up throwing my pizza boxes across the counter at me. I never had an issue before but after this kind of service and treatment I definitely won't be going back. Bad day or not when you work in that environment customer service plays a major role in keeping customers. By the time I got my pizza and salad my pizza was cold. read more

Get place to grab a bite of pizza. The food is really good with thin crust pizza.. and not over cooked to a rock. The place has an amazing atmosphere with touches of Simi Valley displayed on the walls. Check out the pictures on the west wall and bottle village as you are in line... see the bottles on the wall. You got a great review (if I do say so myself) coming your way -thanks to Karina's and the rest of the teams excellence! - the Tri-MOD Maestro All right yelp community, I've only been there 5 times in the last 2.5 months and I just love it! Think of Subway or Chipotle (but no E-coli lol!) where you have them make your custom pizza down an assembly line with a zillion choices. Meat loves should love this place for they have a wide variety choice meat to choose from. As for myself, I am in the process of going vegan and their gluten-free crust as well as their vegan cheeze with all their assortment of veggies, fruits, and roots leave an exotic array of heathy options for those who'd whish enjoy a healthier meal. For a young hungry boy like myself, i LOVE that their liberal with their ingredients. I have not tried thier salad, but I would say it looks pretty good and is undoubtedly is made via the same process of choosing which ingredients you'd like them to put on. One of the highlights of the experience is that MOD pizza in Simi Valley has a great MOD team in the kitchen. the customer service is very warm and friendly- honestly, come my second visit, half the kitchen crew or more already knows me by face and order. They really care about their customers. They also have a great manager too -an enthusiastic younger guy who leads a great team. Did i mention they have some excotic juices? Forget soda- you can get that anywhere (and yes they have a soda fountain) but they have this carmalized poached pear iced tea, that is other-worldly. I don't even like tea! that alone would cause a visit. On top of that, they have a couple bomb lemonades: ones a vintage lemonage (normal yellow looking) and another red one that - don't quote me but i swear it was strawberry for the longest time but -is infact MARRIANBERRY!!!! I don't know if im even spelling that right but that drink (no doubt for a limited time because that kind of exotic is seasonal!) alone would have me come back. Lastly, if you're not convinced, my friend Raylene, who introduced me to MOD and runs a vegan cooking class, brought like 40 of her vegan people to MOD pizza to show it is possible to enjoy eating out, eating out healthy, and eating out heathy for a decent and fair price. 8 bucks for all your heart's desires of toppings - YOU CANT BEAT MOD'S price deal for the amount of ingredients they give you. -the Tri-MOD Maestro read more

Great pizza spot! Well priced pizza at a really affordable price point. They offer unlimited toppings which is very generous given their moderate pricing. I thought their service was very friendly, and the pizzas are made quickly such that they're served piping hot out of the oven. Definitely don't go here if you're in a rush. The service is terrible. There is no orderly system & all the workers are all over the place. It took 40 minutes to get a mini pizza while the restaurant was completely empty. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Not impressed. You order like you're in Subway, very customized, but they didn't cook ours long enough, mushrooms still raw, not even hot enough. I prefer Urban Pizza. Same concept but the foods actually cooked through. The staff is very friendly, though. read more

MOD Pizza is okay. I've given them a few tries and really wanted to like them but it's expensive and not that good. The pizzas are really small and the crust isn't thick enough to handle being piled with a bunch of toppings. It's also just not that fast. For the cost and the time, I've found myself wishing I'd just gone to Toppers. I like the concept of the fast casual pizza place, but MOD Pizza is not as good as Pieology or Pizza Rev. read more
