The pizza is good, but only if the staff working is their "A Team." Inconsistency is more the norm. When certain people are working, you can't beat their product, but other times it's average at best. The management may or may not know this and that's why you need to express your opinions and experiences. The upside is the restaurant is very clean and the staff is friendly. The downside is at times when there's a long line of patrons, there's no sense of urgency on taking the orders, listening to the customers into to facilitate cutting down the wait time and moving the line along. I've walked out a few times while waiting in line when it was more like rush hour traffic on the 10 freeway and the line wasn't moving. They need a way to notify you of what time your food will be ready when you order on the app. They tried to tell me that my order was placed 20 minutes after it actually was and that it was on time, but it had actually taken 45 minutes to order, find my order and then cook the pizza. Today June 2023 is our third time eating here at Mod Pizza on Ina Rd Tucson. We ordered a home delivery due to health and were are very disappointed with the cheese bread.. Very surprised that the employees even severed this. Which has no sauce and cheese on the ends. Would you eat this? See attached picture. We finally find a excellent Pizza restaurant only to be disappointed after the 3rd try.. We ordered several different kinds of meats and asked the sauce and ingredients to the edge well that did not happen.. Why can the managers - owners not make the same quality at each store???? Are the owners so cheap that they teach their employees to put on very little meat , but we sure had a large amount of onions and tomatoes on the pizza. Soft opening night hit a grand slam! Saw on Facebook that Mod was doing a 50% off everything except alcohol today and tomorrow from 5 to 8 pm so we gathered up the crew and went. Don't be deterred by the long line because it moves fast and the Mod staff are super friendly and move at lightning speed. I made my own pizza with a garlic rub base, pesto and mozzarella. Added fresh basil and olive oil, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, pineapple, Greek olive mix, sweet and spicy peppers, Asiago, parmesan and gorganzola and probably some things I forgot to mention. Cooked super fast and then topped with more pesto and a balsamic fig glaze. HOLY PIZZA, it was great! My peeps all loved their creations as well. We ordered the cheesy, garlic strips with a side of pesto too and it was so good that we placed an order for two more. Their pesto is top notch! Because of the soft opening pricing, my pizza, my guy's pizza and 3 orders of strips was only $15! We'll be back many times once they are open for regular business and I think they'll do well in this location. Ordered a Greek salad via doordash on 8-11-21. The salad was comically bad. Extreme amounts of chickpeas and pickled peppers: the only two ingredients in this salad that are not typical Greek salad ingredients. There was so much liquid in the bottom of this salad that most of the lettuce in there (not much) was soaked and soggy. Covid Take Out: The online ordering system is super easy and many options as if you are in store. Pizza is delicious as always. The crust is cooked to perfection and is thin and loaded with toppings. It's the perfect topping to crust ration in my opinion. They definitely are not stingy about their topping which is why we love them so much. However, if you are expecting that piping hot pizza you have in the restaurant and fresh hot. I would not suggest getting this to go. Also, the biggest issue we had with ordering to go was that there no one in charge of the to go. There was no designated parking for to go park in and the parking lot was pretty packed. We called the number listed for pick up and no one picked up. We walked in and no one helped us we literally just ended up picking up the pizza and looking at other people orders and receipt to find ours. MOD is nice because you're able to basically take any pizza (they do have a menu that has some "pre-built" pizza topping combos) and just turn it into a salad. The garlic bread is made from their same, standard pizza crust and has a good flavor, but avoid the edges unless you are someone who is into super crispy textures. I also recommend trying the "No Name Cake," which is a glorified Ding Dong, but it has a much richer flavor. I've gotten takeout from here a couple times now, and its been a winner every time. I love the level of customization on their pizza and salads. One set price and you can get whatever you want! You can't beat that. They also have a detailed list of every ingredient in each item and I really appreciated this. For example I wanted to know if their white sauce contained egg and I was able to find that out very easily on their website. Love that! On top of the customization, price, and info, order and pick up is super easy! And perhaps most importantly, the food is good! Nothing super gourmet or fancy schmancy, but very yummy! Ingredients are fresh and plentiful. I loved the pizza and salad I've gotten here. I will say the garlic/cheesy bread we got was not that great, so I probs won't be getting that in the future, but otherwise I have loved everything else.
