Not sure if it was a location or the employee's issue, but the person who was crafting my pizza can be a little more generous with the ingredients I ask for. We have had the heck of a time finding a local pizza spot. By local I mean close, not expensive, and tasty. We found it, I think. It might not have seemed so at first. When we walked in, things were a bit on the chaotic side. Online order customers especially were in a bit of a tiff because there was a clog in the works. Orders were printing out slowly (not the fault of the on-site staff) and an employee had not showed (I was told); also, it was super busy and they make everything as you order - it's kind of like Subway for pizza - you get to watch them make your pizza and add toppings right in front of you. Then they throw it in the oven. It really doesn't take that long and the staff is competent, conscientious, and courteous. Plus, we loved the pizza. We didn't stay to eat because it was so crowded; however, they do have seating and a cool vibe with interesting trendy decor. As far as the menu, fun choices with intriguing names (want to know the background of the names! anyplace that mentions Calexico is already on my happy list), as well as some crust options such as cauliflower crust or GF. I read the reviews about bad service and they are true. The employees were moving in slow motion. The place was mostly empty and there were three groups of customers in line. The people being served may not have known how the ordering process works at Mod and the employees didn't seem to help. The group ahead of me gave up and left. I did the same after 10 minutes waiting. I've been to several other Mod locations and all of them have had fast friendly staff. read more

I come here often and the service is very friendly and good. The interior of the store is also fun with pop art. There is ample parking around the store and wheelchair access is no problem. I always choose my own toppings for my pizza. The great thing about Mod pizza is that there is no extra charge for toppings. This time I added a little garlic to the tomato sauce, chose two types of cheese, and included mushrooms, Canadian bacon, red onions, sweet grilled red peppers and artichokes. After it was done, I had it drizzled with Allegra and balsamic dressing. Then I ordered a garden salad. Just like pizza, you can add toppings to your salads at no extra charge. I like that Mod Pizza has vegan and vegetarian options too. I will come again. read more

The pizza isn't bad but the service absolutely sucks! There was no sense of urgency for the long line of people waiting to order; instead the focus was on the online orders. Finally when it was time to order, the employee assumed what we wanted and started making the pizza before we could specify what our order was going to be. We ordered to go. Got home only to realize we got the wrong pizzas. Very concerning that there was no quality check before giving the customer what they ordered. Will not return to this location. read more

Not sure where all the bad reviews are coming from. I had a good experience. Service was fast and friendly. Guy who made the pizza changed his gloves when I asked, no problem (I have a garlic intolerance and he had just picked up a handful). Ingredients were fresh and pizza was cooked perfectly. People rave about MOD pizza, but I found it to be boring, bland, and fairly insignificant. I don't know, perhaps I'm doing it wrong. I ordered off their menu two different pizzas, but they were both sad and boring. For now they get a two star from me, and I don't recommend them unless you're below the age of 25, but I will go there and eat and give them another shot and re-review at a different time read more

I really like MOD oizza so that is why a gave it 4 stars but the service and speed was really slow at this place. It was painful to wait almost 15 minutes for a pizza with only 1 person in front of me. Even after my pizza came out of the oven it just sat there and I finally had to go to counter and ask if they were going to slice it and call my name. I would probably be still waiting if I didn't. Was very excited to have a mod closer to home. However, halfway through the meal, my kiddo needed to use the restroom - badly. I noticed that a man had gotten the key a few minutes earlier. There are two bathrooms. We asked for a key and we're informed that it was in use. Several minutes went by and the man didn't return and the emergency became urgent. Moms know how to make it work with some ingenuity and humor - BUTT, I won't be retuning to this location where the only people who seem to be able to gain access to amenities can do so without paying for a meal. Get a second key manager or maybe when a kiddo needs the restroom make more of an effort. On the way back in to gather the rest of our food another man walked in a got the key from the first non-paying person to evacuate his bowels as well. How nice that must be. Reading the previous comment this seems to be a trend. Don't go to this location! Pizza didn't suck but the service sure did. read more

Couldn't agree more with previous review. The staff briefly took our orders, and then proceeded to talk amongst themselves. We had to stand there at the check out counter for someone to notice us again and for us to pay for our order. Then, I asked for the bathroom key and was told that both bathrooms were out of order. None of the staff seemed concerned about this and it didn't seem like anyone was working to address the situation. They also messed up my pizza order. I was excited when a Mod Pizza was opened in the Southcenter area. That became a huge disappointment after I paid a visit. There was no one waiting ahead of us and 4 employees behind the counter. They completed ignored us and were more into talking to themselves. After waiting about 3 mins one asked what we wanted and then stopped and started a conversation again with a worker beside him. This conversation was not about work or my order. The whole place and staff were disorganized and lacked a management. For the price you pay now for a pizza and a salad you would think that you could be acknowledged when you walk up to order and have the employees engaged in the customer. Sad to say but if this Mod pizza continues to operate like this, it won't be in business very long. From the other reviews I just read it's headed that way. I won't be returning! Always understaffed, long slow moving line, and they put more importance on internet/app orders and ignore live customers in front of them. Brian is an excellent employee!! If he worked for me I would 100% give him a raise, he is not an employee I would want to lose.
