Price and overall value are very good when you consider what you get in pizza size and topping options. I'm not sure I like the thin crust and crust taste and texture. My pizza flavor was okay, but the mixture of cheeses on the Ulysses didn't thrill me. I'll give it another try and hope that my pizza choice comes out better. read more

My husband and I have very different tastes in what toppings we prefer and amount of cheese, sauce, etc. Although skeptical of the trendy, hipster feel of the place, we decided to give it a try. Instead of having to compromise and share a pizza, we each got our own for the same price of one large elsewhere! With the variety of toppings, we were able to pick our favorites, no charge for extra sauce or cheese. We were the oldest couple in the place, so that was a little awkward. It is definitely aimed at a younger crowd, it was pretty loud so conversation was tough as well. I am giving it a mixed review. My first time coming here, and it was one of the best experiences. Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Pretty busy, but the line was moving. I was greeted by Louise ( I believe that was her name). Super friendly. super helpful. The food tasted great! I NEVER eat the crust. I ATE all of my pizza. My boyfriend thought something was wrong with me. I could go on and on. I have not found to die for pizza in Vancouver, but both my husband I were IMPRESSED with Mod! I love you can buy the pizza based on the size, and basically just pile whatever you want on it, and they fire cook it right there. The crust was light and crispy- but not that usually hard crispy.. it was a light and airy crispy LOL... I had it with marionberry lemonade. Been perfecting a new pizza and considering the name: Juho's tortu. Juho is Dominic's Finnish cousin and the pie features anchovies, amongst other things. The pizza is great, you can build your own and the service is super friendly. They've modified the crust recently and it's even better--light and crisp, reminds me of the pie in Italy. I was in a bad mood when I went in. I ordered over the Internet and the pizza was ready when I got there. The website has a long list of MOD pizzas so finding the Vancouver location took me a while. However, I got a phone call to remind me to select a pizza sauce that I overlooked when ordering. The pizza was good and fast on a Saturday. read more

Really yummy pizza. Six of us split three pizzas: Jasper, Caspian (minus red onion plus bacon), and a build - your - own with Alfredo sauce, olives, bacon, and chicken. The gluten free crust has tapioca in the recipe so it's softer than most gf crusts.. Good selection of toppings and relatively speedy.

We went in for lunch and it wasn't very busy. I got the Oliva and added extra pepperoni. I like that you can add extra toppings and it doesn't cost you anything. It tasted awesome. Really Enjoyed my first time there. Try the Balsalmic Fig sauce at the end. It's yummy! It was busy but I got my pizza in 5-8 minutes. Not too bad. Loved my pizza but I wasn't turned on by the BBQ sauce for the Caspian, but the owner was really nice and my service was a sweetheart. I value good customer service. Yeah, parking sucked but that's to be expected for a shopping center with Dollar Tree and Trader Joes next to it. read more

So disappointed. We ordered 5 pizzas today and all were incorrect. One pizza had NO SAUCE, and many of the incorrect toppings. The others had wrong ingredients and even included ingredients we didn't even ask for on any of the pizzas. The papers were all marked with the correct items but the pizzas were incorrect! What a pain!!! We also requested extra bacon on one pizza and only got 4 tiny pieces, how ridiculous. The pineapple tasted awful, like it had sat out to long. Recently moved here from Santa Cruz, CA and was missing thin crust awesome Pizza my Heart slices from there. We had tried several places and been disappointed until we had MOD Pizza!!! This place is hands down the best pizza we've had in Vancouver! The ingredients are all fresh and each pizza can be customized for individual taste with unlimited choices for one reasonable price. There are also gluten free options to boot! Yay! Atmosphere is adorbs and the customer service and staff are amazing. We've been here about 6 times and each time the staff is super helpful, gregarious and attentive. The lemonades are pretty stellar as well and the salads amazing too! My fiancé and I just tried Mod Pizza for the first time today and we absolutely loved it. The girls taking the orders today were extremely friendly, upbeat, and helpful and our pizzas tastes fantastic. I got the #9 and added pineapple to half of it (next time I'm going to add it to the whole pizza cuz it was so fresh and delicious) and my man got the # 10 (but he had them make it with a red sauce instead. Yum!) He said the pizza is great, he loves that the ingredients are fresh and the concept of paying by the pizza, not the topping. 5 stars, we'll definitely be back! We love this place. I will admit the pizza isn't as good as a real wood fired oven place. It is good and cheap. My son loves going there and creating his own pizza, that is the fun of the place. We really love this pizza! As a family with all different tastes it's nice to come and choose our own favorite pizzas! The flavor is great and not overwhelming and it's always cooked well. That being said I have to knock a star for the lack of customer service. Every time we go, the employees always seem frazzled and rarely smile or say hello. After you've placed your order you then have to retell that exact order to the cashier. Seems like maybe there could be an easier way? My husband is on the fence of going back for the lack or organization. Hoping Mod pulls through and changes some of these concerns soon! read more

Didnt get asked if what size or sause employee just started putting sauce onto dough and didnt stretch out dough.. I would've left but didnt want to waste food that employee put sauce on. Had lunch here today and I do not think I will return to this location. For advertising as being "super fast" I spent about 25 minutes in line. When I got to the front I saw the romaine lettuce was very wilted and did not look good to eat. I would have just left but I had already waited for quite a while. I asked if they had other lettuce and they did say I could have lettuce from a new container, however it has wilted too, but less so then what they had out so I went with it. They claimed they had just received the lettuce last night. Well my thought is why aren't you making sure your produce looks fresh upon delivery? If you offer salads and are partially a salad place I would think fresh looking romaine would be important. No one wants wilted lettuce with browning spots. Seriously looked like it had been in the back of a fridge for a week. Maybe would return if there was no long line and could see if the produce was fresh first but the whole thing was weird. read more

This place is fun and enjoyable, and I recommend it to anyone who is Looking for something more than just your typical take and go pizza place. When I was first recommended to MOD, it was described as a subway for pizza, and once I had the experienced for myself, I'd say that that description was pretty spot on as you get to custom make what type of crust, sauce, and toppings right in front of you. Though mod has a slightly nicer, more "homie" feeling rather than subway. The pizza was unforgettably tasty, and when it came to the last slice of my pizza, I tried to savor it as much as I could, as I was sad that it had come to the end. Hahaha. I also loved the overall layout and feeling that the restaurant presented. The service was quite pleasant as well, straight forward and friendly. However, we did end up waiting in line for an agonizing amount of time followed by a long wait for our food that I found unnecessary.
