Tumbled Across Velacios pizza while working on a construction site around the corner from it, I did a Yelp search and was stunned by the amount of good reviews it had. I ordered 5 different pizzas for my staff alll were great especially the Athens Creek pizza it was delicious. Laid took my order and was friendly and he made sure we had all the cups, plates, Parmesan cheese and hot sauce that we need. I definitely will visit this place again! read more

Ordered the pizza at 1250am from my hotel rm. And they said it would take 45mins-60mins to get here. So i left instructions to say that i will wait at the ground floor. After 70mins i called them and the guy said it would take another hour cause the delivery guy came to the room. Ok so maybe he missed the memo. Anyway the guy on the phone didnt seem to speak or understand english too well. We went back n forth abit and he finally said they'll send another one in 25mins (i'm literally like 3 blocks down). So the guy finally arrives. I ordered the Veracio special which says mushrooms, salami, pepperoni, bell peppers, onions and sausages... i added ham and asked to remove pepperoni. When i opened up the box thats what i got in my pizza (refer to picture). All i got was pepperoni and ham. I don't know why this place has such bad reviews, this is the first pizza place I've found since I've lived in SF that actually tastes close to east coast pizza. Most of the shitty pizza places around here taste like shit, take forever to deliver and are way the fuck over priced. This place is a good deal, the pizza is decent, the sauce is good, and the delivery guys will ring the bell and come up to your door instead of calling you and having you come down to the door while they sit in the car listening to shitty music and talking on their cell phone. read more

I found this place purely by accident and I'm glad that I did. I have always been a fan of "mom & pop" shops for many things and pizza Is one of them. This is one of those nice finds that makes you feel good about your food. And I'll say this, any pizza place where you can order a plain Cheese pizza and feel you still got a great pie is "A+" in my book. They have some good deals if you get coupons. I've been ordering a pie from them at least once a month for the past year or so, and it is the highlight of my month. They do a good cheesy garlic bread and some of there other dishes are pretty nice as well. But to me it is all about their pizza. If you want a good pizza at a good price for yourself, a party, or whatever and you're in/near the downtown San Francisco area... check them out!!! read more

Then 8:15pm, we called, again "five minutes out". We called a couple more times they offered a discount. Finally at 9pm, said it was coming and will be on the house. It's now 9:25pm, the pizza is still not here and my wife and I are just looking around the freezer to make a frozen dinner.
