I drove to the store to pick up the toner I needed to finish a project. According to the website, the 3-toner package was in stock; according to the young man who reluctantly dragged himself away from his conversation with his co-worker, that just means the item is in stock in the warehouse, not in the store. Okay, I said, can you sell me the individual items for the package price? No, he said, but we can give you the same price as the website price. Wait, you mean I'm paying more money for the same item if I walk into the store? Okay, I asked, well, that's not going to be the same as the package price for 3 toners. Do you have a coupon maybe you can apply? All of his responses were about what the store can't or won't do - and no one seemed at all interested in making a sale. I asked them if they just wanted me to leave? Throw away a $400 sale? No one offered any interest in helping me out and keeping my business, so off I go. This is not a sustainable business practice to leave your store in the hands of people who obviously are not interested in providing friendly service to customers. Seriously - this should have been a no-brainer: "oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, of course we'll figure out a way to get you as close to that package price as possible. Sorry you made a special trip down here. I know how frustrating it can be." How hard is that? You make the same sale as what I would have paid online AND kept a customer. Over the past 3 years I've made it a point to send all of my printing projects to this location. No more.

    I don't know why I don't learn my lesson with this location. Every time I'm here it's just a…read moreheadache. No one ever knows what they're talking about and you'll get 12 different answers for the same question. Today's nonsense: called ahead to see if they offer shrinking services. I explained I had a photo collage poster that I wanted smaller to fit into a scrap book. The gal on the phone said yes they can do that. I get in and the guy behind the counter told me they can't put it through their machine because the photos will come off (which I actually doubt; they're glued down) and when I started asking questions about that he just moved onto another person. I've had mass copies done here and a few other random services but each time it's a hassle. Not to mention their drive up pick up service NEVER works. Every time I call no one answers, or they say they're too busy to come out. Just a disappointing experience every time with their printing services. Always the same guy too. Wears a mask so you can barely hear him, won't even make constant eye contact with customers, acrs so squirrely and all over the place, such a shame they can't get someone more professional in that role.

No associate would make eye contact, even when I did see one. I had to order what I needed for in-store pick up because I could t find it nor could I find someone to help me. This is problematic for me & is also the reason I stopped shopping at Staples & won't even shop online at staples. UPDATE: If you place an order online & you go into the store to pick it up. NO ONE HAS TO CONFIRM WHO YOU ARE OR WHAT YOU'RE PICKING UP. it's a free for all but Office Depot does hope its customers are more honest than to commit theft in this way. The pick up is right next to the door. There is no oversight. This will be the last time I ever place an order for pick up from this store. I'm not interested in having my goods stolen. It's simply too easy to steal.

I would think that employees would be more customer service oriented and appreciative of having a job at a brick-and-mortar location or any job at any location............and just appreciative that they have a job at all. I am in Glendale AZ and was at the Office Max location below: Office Max Store #6171 Store #6171 7974 WEST BELL ROAD GLENDALE, AZ 85308 (623) 486-2444 3:30 p.m. Mountain time on Wed, 4/9/2025. My husband and I came into the store to see if this location had a TSA Pre-check service (as some locations have discontinued that service). I asked the cashier (did not get her name) and she said they did have that service, but I had to make an appt. I asked if we could make that appt and she said "you have to make it on line, you cannot make it in person", I looked away at my husband and then she said..........do you want to know how to make it online? It wasn't "Well we cannot make it in person as you have to fill out an application online to reserve your spot" (giving me an explanation of why as that would have been nice to know details) The issue I had was the curtness and her attitude as if I was interrupting her when there was no one in the store). I was quite shocked...........to say the least. The attitude was not at all warranted nor was it provoked. I literally just looked at my husband (who was standing behind me away from the cashier) what happened to "Customer Service" There was literally no one in the store at all except 4 employees that I see up at the front of the store. Her attitude was one of......that I was interrupting her and pretty much made us feel like we were bothering her. I came home and called another location near me in Peoria, AZ and I was met with (on the phone) a very nice and giving employee that explained to me why I couldn't make an appt. over the phone or just coming in. Now that is an employee that is going places but the lady at the location above should not be in a customer service position. I did make an appt at the Store #6758 25340 N LAKE PLEASANT PARKWAY PEORIA, AZ 85383 (623) 376-2320 I believe that employee's name was Abigale that helped me on the phone and will go to Office Max again but Never to the location on Bell RD as this is not the 1st time that location has not been a place that I feel comfortable at (not welcoming AT ALL). The 1st time was awhile ago and didnt really think it would happen again but since it did, twice at the same location says alot for either the Management that employ's and trains and/or management themselves for not making sure "checking in" to make sure their employees represent the brand in a Welcome environment. I am sure that is what they get paid for, right?

    Awful! Awful! Awful! They tried to deliver when we were away from home. Personal signature required…read more(who knew?) Tried all three methods to contact them, per the delivery slip left by the driver. Not one option would go through/be accepted. Refused input of our apartment address... after numerous tries... because our APARTMENT address was listed as a "commercial"address... which was not eligible/acceptable for what I needed to get done. Kept telling me to enter a residential address. This IS our residential address. Even tried leaving off our apartment number. Still "registered as a "commercial address... NOT eligible for online service without a commercial account????? Online wouldn't accept our address as valid. Text message method rejected, too. Tried to call. Got automated "help" assistant who was trapped in a cycle of repeating the same thing... repeatedly. After about 75 minutes of playing with their screwed up, ineffective "communication" system... I gave up. I don't care, at this point, if I EVER receive my shipped medications. In the future, I will NOT do business with ANYONE who sets FedEx as the only means of shipment. I will not, in ANY way do business with FedEx... period. I'm SO angry, and frustrated, at this point... I'm about to burst a vein. Their system is COMPLETELY USELESS... and they REFUSE to connect you to a living person. Put me down as being irrevocably DONE with FedEx. Shoddy service leaves you high and dry.

My shipment -- a MacBook Pro being sent for repair -- never left the local facility. I have called repeatedly, every few days, and each time I am transferred, misdirected, or forced to restart the entire process. I've been sent to the wrong departments, told conflicting information, and even informed that previous claims and documentation I submitted were never received. At one point, I was told the investigation was closed due to the package being "lost," yet no resolution or accountability followed. I was then asked to restart the claim process entirely. What makes this situation extremely concerning is that I was required to include my device password inside the package for repair. This means my lost shipment is not just a missing item -- it is a serious security and privacy risk involving sensitive personal data. FedEx has failed to provide consistent communication, proper escalation, or any meaningful resolution. Being offered only a shipping refund for a lost personal device is unacceptable. This experience has been deeply frustrating, and I would strongly caution others when trusting FedEx with high-value or sensitive items.
