We love it here. It's a hidden gem. The service has always been attentive, friendly and fun. The smell of smoke from the bbq is intoxicating. The Jalepeno grits are so good. We wish we lived closer!! Bowling, boozy milkshakes, pool, pinball, live music, BBQ..YES PLEASE

I've been to around three shows at Moe's and the sound guy is the worst. He must have only done like middle school theater productions in his past and thought "I'll give this a try!" My dude no, you suck. Three bands and each time the lead singers mic was cut out for 2+ songs. He seems to only be able to get one mic to work at a time so look out bands no back-up vocals. The venue would be fantastic if they didn't employ the same awful sound tech over and over. The nachos are legit though

Really wanted chicken wings but they baste their wings in a sauce prior to smoking them (and I have food allergies) so I opted for SAUCE FREE OPTIONS, IE: a double meat platter of chicken and turkey. When my food arrived, it was very underwhelming looking. It looked like a teeny tiny portion of meat... Paired with a small salad and a hunk of corn bread. I gave away the bread (cause I can't eat it -- apparently it's really good though)... And plowed through the turkey and chicken VERY quickly cause I was so hungry. I have to admit, they weren't bad. They definitely don't look appetizing when served to you (the turkey legit looks like rubber) but both were flavorful! I liked the chicken more than the turkey and if I had to redo my order, I'd probably get the THREE MEAT PLATE and get all chicken! My husband got the pulled pork and brisket, along with Mac and cheese, corn bread and the banana pudding... He said the meats were fine (he ate them all so they must have not been THAT BAD) but shockingly he REGALED OVER THE BANANA PUDDING!!!! Said it was some of the BEST BANANA CUSTARD HE HAS EVER HAD IN HIS ENTIRE LIFE! He wanted to take home a VAT of it so as to use it for a banana cream pie! That's saying something cause the man is INSANELY PICKY about BCP... In fact, we almost broke up over it once- LOL! Over all, I give Moe's a 3.5/5 for food... But what we did love the most is the LIVE MUSIC from Matt Walden! Wow was he amazing!

After a recent disappointment at a new top trendy restaurant we went back to the place that is the original "cool". Never disappoints, great food, on top service and greeted with a smile. I had pulled pork and my workmate had the catfish. Two sides and cornbread. Friendly clientele, staff and kitchen. And dang that bbq is good. Please mo's don't change.

BBQ....who doesn't love the fine smoked flavors of brisket...you know the kind that pulls right off the bone in savory delight? This might be your place whwre you can chow down on sammy's or straight up. The sauce has a very nice kick to it so pour generously! It was a hard choice but I went with the brisket. Very southern style, smoked simple but with soul. They serve ribs, wings, turkey, catfish and shrimp ...even tofu! So there is a nice variety to choose from to satisfy any taste. The sides are included with the platters so go for the mac 'n cheese or baked beans. I ordered the slaw but wasn't in love with it. It did have an unbalanced sweet/vinegary taste to it. Beer, beer and more beer is choice drink here. Only 4 on tap, all others are can or bottle (but awesome local brews!!!!) Liquor is available too! Saturday nights bring in the crowds and the bands. Bluegrass was the theme and some pretty darn good jams at that. Appreciated the sounds from The Remus Tucker Band. Check Moe's website for show schedules and be prepared to pay a cover ($12-14, depending on the evening). They accept cash or card for the cover or one can pre-purchase on Goldstar. The staff were nice but not stand out. They have a business to run and customers to serve and they were busy with concert goer's and a private event @ the bowling alley. Oh yeah, then there's the bowling alley. Arrive early to reserve a spot but call ahead to ensure it is available. It is popular for familes to hang out and enjoy the evening. Pretty good place and would like to try that tofu next go.

Good place to go for happy hour, but the BBQ is pretty meh. The best part of our meal was the baked beans and the mac and cheese.

    Really bad over cooked chicken.

I could tell this place was going to be good because it was packed out at 11:30 AM on a Saturday. We decided to stop by and most people were ordering very large orders for takeout, but they have a good number of tables both inside and outside. The food takes a while to come, but that just means that it is all freshly prepared, and the staff are so nice and even give free samples. I went with the Kids meal brisket with the Potato salad and added a Sweet potato with the candied pecan butter. I seriously have no words -- all of these things were so delicious, and the amount of meat that you get even with the kids meal is more than enough to fill me up, especially with the rich sweet potato and potato salad on the side. That was missing here, the first indication that all would not go well. I soldiered on anyway, and ordered the 2 meat plate, pulled pork and brisket, with an extra rib bone and collard greens and beans for sides. The brisket and pork were both dry and had no smoke flavor. The rib was so small (an end piece) that they gave me 2; they were both overcooked and had very little meat on them. The sides were the only good part of this meal, but sides do not great barbecue make, hence the 2 stars. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pitmaster visited our table and took our criticism with good grace, even offering to replace our food to see if they could do better, but I was done. I won't be returning.

I would have walked out and gone somewhere else except I had two disabled folks with me and one ornery sibling who would have balked. That being said, the place itself has been designed pretty great. Excellent tables and chairs and even some high top ones. Very, very clean. Area where there was BBQ sauce and some garnishes was alone by itself and coulda been dressed up a bit more to look more enticing. Now, the food. The burnt ends, unbelievably, were not true burnt ends, at least in my book. They were cubed meat with either side burnt but they were not ends. Burnt ends need to be almost all burnt around except one edge. There were only SOME of them like that. But, ok, fine, how's the meat, how's the cut? Most of my pieces were very tough. Cut wrong or with some gristle. Not a tender bite. But I also ordered brisket. Although not as good as I'm used to, at least it was tender and flavorful. But it was sliced thin and shoulda been thicker slices with more burnt edges. My sister liked.her chicken although it looked a bit dry, my uncle seemed to really enjoy his ribs. My brother didn't seem to be as picky as me about his burnt ends, he said it was good. So perhaps my standards are too high. Sides of Mac & Cheese, creamy Cole slaw, rustic fries, and loaded mashed potato were decent, but the charred corn wasn't at all as I was expecting, just corn in a lot of spicy sauce and I would skip it. The toasted bread on the side was altogether uninteresting. My uncle did like his Breckenridge Beer Amber Ale. And the fellow at the front was really nice, although interesting it was just him, and then two cooks in the back, not what I'm used to at most bbq places which usually have a bustle of people behind the counter. But then, again, the place was empty, although had a decent amount of "to go" business. This place feels like it may not last -- it's in a great location and should have had way more people dining in -- and I think the owner needs to invest in another bbq chef who can bring a bit more magic to the food, especially the burnt ends, the brisket and the sides. I was torn between 3 and 4 stars -- were it just me it would be 3, but with the rest of my party, a 4 -- plus the cleanliness and bright atmosphere and great service, a 4 is deserved.
