Moe's can be hit or miss, but when it hits, it's really fantastic. On a bad day, you'll get mac & cheese with tartar sauce, almost like a hot macaroni salad that was thrown in a hot pan and will ruin your day. On a good day, you'll will get smoked turkey, a generally dry, lighter option, that is so juicy and flavorful, you'll forget that it a lighter option. My personal favorites are the smoked wings and catfish, that have never disappointed. If you decide to dine in, the environment is all fun and games- literally, as there is bowling, live music, and a patio. It's a quick serve atmosphere but you still have a full bar option. Really wanted chicken wings but they baste their wings in a sauce prior to smoking them (and I have food allergies) so I opted for SAUCE FREE OPTIONS, IE: a double meat platter of chicken and turkey. When my food arrived, it was very underwhelming looking. It looked like a teeny tiny portion of meat... Paired with a small salad and a hunk of corn bread. I gave away the bread (cause I can't eat it -- apparently it's really good though)... And plowed through the turkey and chicken VERY quickly cause I was so hungry. I have to admit, they weren't bad. They definitely don't look appetizing when served to you (the turkey legit looks like rubber) but both were flavorful! I liked the chicken more than the turkey and if I had to redo my order, I'd probably get the THREE MEAT PLATE and get all chicken! My husband got the pulled pork and brisket, along with Mac and cheese, corn bread and the banana pudding... He said the meats were fine (he ate them all so they must have not been THAT BAD) but shockingly he REGALED OVER THE BANANA PUDDING!!!! The sides are included with the platters so go for the mac 'n cheese or baked beans. I ordered the slaw but wasn't in love with it. It did have an unbalanced sweet/vinegary taste to it. Beer, beer and more beer is choice drink here. Only 4 on tap, all others are can or bottle (but awesome local brews!!!!) Liquor is available too! Saturday nights bring in the crowds and the bands. Bluegrass was the theme and some pretty darn good jams at that. Appreciated the sounds from The Remus Tucker Band. Check Moe's website for show schedules and be prepared to pay a cover ($12-14, depending on the evening). They accept cash or card for the cover or one can pre-purchase on Goldstar. The staff were nice but not stand out. They have a business to run and customers to serve and they were busy with concert goer's and a private event @ the bowling alley. Stopped in the other day was thinking about having some barbecue but when I get there I noticed that they had a fried chicken special. I was totally excited about that. I ordered the special that came with this amazing corn bread and two sides. I ordered the chicken, a side of green chili, and baked beans. I had to exchange the Green chili for coleslaw because I just didn't like it. I like the baked beans, the coleslaw was tasty a little tart but I thought it was good. As for the fried chicken, it was over done dry and deep-fried in old oil. The chicken was so dark because the oil was so old that it actually took out any kind of flavoring that it was dipped in. When I cut into the chicken it basically was moist less and dry. In other words I would not order that ever again. I would say our cashier was friendly, and I noticed the people behind the counter putting the food together we're working very hard but not over friendly..... It was probably a good thing that nobody asked me how my meal was! I wouldn't probably waste my time I'm going back. Although I might stop to have a beer, cocktail hour and go bowling. read more

Pretty dang good. My husband and I had lunch here on a recommendation from our neighbor. We wanted to try a bunch of things, so we shared a three-meat combo and then added on an additional "Mo's portion" of a fourth meat plus an extra side (the combo comes with two sides). We got pulled pork, brisket, wings, and catfish, the latter of which I wasn't sure but turns out that might be the best thing on the menu! We chose mac 'n' cheese, slaw, and potato salad for the sides. Pulled pork and brisket were okay, both were very lean. The wings were excellent, big, meaty, smoked and lightly sauced. The catfish was some of the best fried fish I've ever had. It was lightly breaded and very light and flakey. It was also super fresh out of the fryer and piping hot. I was less impressed with the sides we tried. The mac 'n' cheese was meh, noodles were overcooked and not much flavor there. Potato salad is mostly mustard-based but fine. The slaw was sweet and vinegary and decent-tasting. I'll try the beans or one of their special sides next time. The staff were all really friendly and pleasant. We asked for recommendations and talked to them about the food. We enjoyed our meal on the bar side and then played two games of bowling, which was fun. Atmosphere is cool, sort of dive bar-hip. I also felt our meal was pretty affordable. We had four meats and three sides for about $30. Another excellent idea from my friend. We drove out to Englewood to meet him at work and he directed us here. Casual bar atmosphere side inside, music play and lots of colors. I liked it. Service was quick and portions were large enough for hubby and I to split a meal. Tim got the sausage meal and it was gigantic; he took quite a bit home as leftovers. I hadn't had any BBQ since I left Texas, and Moe's is the first BBQ joint in Colorado I've tried. I immediately liked the arcade/bowling alley ambiance. I gotta say, even to a good old Southern boy, their brisket is excellent. Fat peeled right off, and the meat was falling apart. Great smokey flavor, especially when topped with their tangy house sauce. I also tried their smoked turkey, and although it was not the best I've ever had, it was still quite good. Potato salad was pretty standard. I was a little disappointed there was no fried okra. Their pudding was somewhat unique, but did not leave me wanting. The bands were good, drove down to catch some bands my Denver people wanted to see. It used to be decent, but not anymore unfortunately. Food is always served undercooked, tough to chew. I kept trying but it's not improving.

I've been going to Moe's for the last couple years and will continue to go back. I have not been to many places since the pandemic hit, but I feel comfortable dining at moes. They have a nice patio area, bowling, and yummy food (recently I've been getting the Mahi and side salad). Employees are always wearing masks, consistently cleaning, and tables are 6ft apart. The staff is very kind and doing spectacular even with these new guidelines. As always, tip for the service you are provided (20% or more) and support local! P.S. Wear a mask to protect others (especially for service industry, first-responders, immune compromised etc). read more
