It seems like I was baited today by Moe's. I received a promotion for a $5.99 bowl or burrito with the purchase of a drink, so I figured lunch would be around $10. When I ordered a steak bowl, the employee was initially out of steak. After bringing out a fresh container, he served what looked like less than half of a normal portion--just a few pieces sprinkled across the rice. I've been coming to this location since 2022, and I immediately thought, "There's no way that's the actual serving." When I questioned it, he somewhat aggressively told me that was the serving size. I then asked another employee nearby, and he laughed and agreed. At that point, it was pretty clear he was going to stand by his coworker's side, so rather than argue over a scoop of steak, I told them to double it and paid the extra charge. The strange part was what happened next. After the interaction, I went to the salsa bar, and one of the employees immediately came over, grabbed a cup, took a swig of a drink, and walked away. Maybe it was nothing, but the timing was odd enough that I found myself thinking, "What is going on right now?" Honestly, if I had kept pushing the issue, I think it could have easily turned into an argument in the restaurant. Instead, I kept my mouth shut, paid for the double steak, and moved on. What bothered me wasn't the few extra dollars--it was the inconsistency and the way the situation was handled. I actually hadn't been to Moe's in quite a while because it's become so expensive, especially compared to Chipotle. Ironically, I've been eating at Rreal Tacos lately because they've had BOGO deals running for months. For less than what I spent at Moe's today, I could have gotten two quesadillas plus chips and salsa. Maybe the news is right--these days it's sometimes cheaper to eat at local restaurants with promotions than it is to visit some of the major fast-casual chains. I kept it moving, but this was the first time I've ever left this Moe's feeling disappointed, overcharged, and wondering why a simple question about a serving size turned into such an odd experience. read more

They gave me seven pieces of steak with my order so I had to get double meat then gave me one scoop of queso so I had to ask for double queso just to have enough to cover my chips. They were busy on Cinco de Mayo, as expected! The one thing I really did not like were other customers bringing their coughing, sick kids. Please do not bring your sick kids here. Just don't come if you are feeling sick. So gross. It really made me want to get out of there as fast as possible. Food was better than anticipated. I got carnitas instead of chicken and it was better than the pork they had before. I didn't like it so I had switched to chicken. But I would go back to carnitas now. Edit: Several hrs later, I woke up at 3am to horrible stomach pain, sweating, nausea, and explosive diarrhea. I thought I was going to die. Moe's food was the only food I had night (for dinner and a midnight snack). So it is clear what the culprit was...food poisoning! I took over the counter meds and ate a piece of ginger and had to battle through it. I got a second wave of stomach pain, like a knot in my stomach, but nowhere as bad as the first time. This is one of my favorite Moe's! The food is delicious and the servers were great. The only issue I hd was when I was leaving. I parked in the lot behind the restaurant and there's a patio/seating area in the back. While walking to the parking lot I slipped and fell on the concrete that is painted. There needs to be a sign because every time I've been to this location, there is always a puddle in the painted concrete patio! Including a picture of the bruise on my knee . No answer. Two stars because I was enjoying my meal until I bit down on a sharp piece of plastic. This bowl was ordered using Uber eats. At first I checked the plastic cover to see if maybe it was my fault, no plastic was chipped off the cover and the piece of plastic that ended up in my food is much thicker. I'm not sure what goes on in the kitchen, I believe it was maybe an accident but still. This is food you're handling and you all need to do a better job at keeping the food clean and having nothing but the food end up in a bowl. I wish I could give this store one star. When I come to Moe's I constantly spend a decent amount of money because I have a larger family. I recently tried this Moe's because it was convenient to my new home. However, I won't be patronizing this place again. I've ordered 3 meal kits. EVERY MEAL kit had significant things missing. Furthermore, there was a small container of fajitas and it's a fajita kit and even missing fajitas last week. Not sure is they ran out of Things but it's unacceptable. I finally called after my third box was messed up. I try to give people the chance to do better. Mind you, this is within the week and the SAME thing happens. . I spoke with the managers assistant and the general Manager Rachel. It's so clear that their priority isn't keeping a customer. She did nothing but give lip service about their potential reasons it could have been left out (excuses) and that she couldn't do anything but what her assistant did , which was compensate for black beans. I'm Saddened that establishments don't get that we are in the middle of a pandemic and when the service isn't decent, we will happily go elsewhere to spend our money. Please avoid this location especially for pickup and even more for the service that starts poorly at the top. I'm Happy to spend my money elsewhere. Customer service and customer satisfaction is key! I came to Moe's today for the nacho special for $4.99. I chose steak as my meat only for it to be drenched in liquid. It looked disgusting! I opted to change my order when the manager in the photo let out a " Jesus Christ " because of my indecisiveness. I called her out and she tried to deny saying it but my ears heard her LOUD AND CLEAR! I then took her photo and told her I no longer wanted the nachos. I went to the cashier to order chips and queso, when she instructed the server not to serve me anything. Discrimination at its finest! He handed back my change which I didn't count because he threw change back at me and I was scuffling with my bag. Once I got back home I realized he shorted me 20 dollars. This Moe's in Buckhead is the original Moe's location and, coincidentally, the first Moe's I ever ate at back in 2001 (less than a year after it opened). Moe's was a source of much nourishment during my days at Tech. At the time, I had no idea that more than a decade later, there would be well over 550 Moe's locations nationwide. Aside from the large outdoor sign that says "the very first Moe's on earth," unlike other restaurant chains' first location, this Moe's really doesn't look much different than the ones that have come after it. There's patio seating and TVs inside. The front parking lot is limited to about 10 spaces, but there are more spaces in the back. Many of the menu items' names can be referenced to pop culture. A couple of my favorites to order are the Joey Bag of Donuts and the John Coctostan. Joey Bag of Donuts is Italian-American slang for an obese person. John Coctostan is a reference to the 1985 Chevy Chase movie Fletch. At Moe's, the Joey Bag of Donuts is a Mission-style (big) burrito filled with rice, beans, shredded cheese, pico de gallo, and a meat. Meat options include steak, chicken, pork, ground beef, and tofu. One step up from the Joey Bag of Donuts is the Homewrecker, which adds lettuce, sour cream, and guac. It's not bad either. I usually like to get my Moe's burritos with steak or chicken. The burritos are filling and I've found the quality of the ingredients to generally be good and fresh. The John Coctostan is a quesadilla. Moe's quesadillas are quite tasty. The flattened quesadillas are stuffed with melted cheese, pico, and sour cream plus any of the aforementioned meat options. I favor chicken when it comes to quesadillas. The mixture of ingredients is savory and flavorful. The cheese is my favorite part. Moe's offers both flour and whole wheat tortillas. I usually go for the flour tortillas just because I think they're softer and taste better. There's a Coke Freestyle touch screen drink machine here which offers a bevy of Coke products, both carbonated and non-carbonated. I love these machines. Service is friendly and fast. Free Wi-Fi is available. Expect to spend about $10 per person for a meal here. On Mondays, you can get a burrito, chips, and salsa for only $5.55. Hopefully, that special will still be available by the time you read this. In the end, Moe's is a decent stop for a quick and inexpensive meal. read more

This was one of the grossest and dirtiest restaurants I've ever been to in my life. We were the only people dining in the dining room and we had to ask the staff to clean off a table so we could sit down. No one dining and all the tables were caked with food and trash. They then had the nerve to act irritated by the request. The walls were covered in dust and splashes of food, the trash can tops were nasty and the floor was super sticky. The drink machine was out of half of the drinks as well. I didn't know about the condition of the dining area until after we ordered and paid and was trying to find somewhere to sit down. Perhaps I was wrong about Moe's. Most people try and play the Moe's versus Chipotle vs Willy's argument. If you are going on burrito's, I tend to stay with Chipotle --- BUT, have you had the "Wrong Doug?" That is my recommendation. It is a fancy Taco Bell Crunch Wrap Supreme that you can add all the ingredients you want. My "Dougie" artist did look at me strange when I said "All of it" when she asked what I wanted on my Crunchwrap Supreme. I had to say everything individually -- yes both fresh jalapenos and pickled jalapenos -- but the food was filling and delicious. I do love my salsa and Coke Freestyle machine. I keep giving this location a shot because it's down the street from my job and every time I leave disappointed. I've been multiple times and the beans weren't done. My last visit they told me there was no more lettuce, then my coworker went there was lettuce. A sliver of Queso on my burrito. Why does this location only have roasted corn and not the corn pico? I walk by here every time I go to the grocery store (and every time I go to McDonald's), but for some reason it's not the first on my mind when I think of quick places to eat in my neighborhood. Tonight that changed and I decided to head up there to try their new pulled pork. Yum. Yum. Yum. I like that I get greeted when I walk through the front door. I find this place annoying on so many levels. Annoying that it copied local Willy's in almost every way. Annoying that they yell out "Welcome to Moe's" everytime a customer enters. Annoying that the menu has cutesy names for its burrios (i.e. Joey Baggadonuts, Whislte Me Dixie or some other namescan't remember or care to remember). The food itself is pretty blah. I don't care for the heavily lime juice based marinade on the chicken and meat, it over powers everything. I also don't like that the meats are grilled ahaead of time and chunked up into miniscule pieces. I also find that the burritos are always cold by the time I pay and get to my table. The procedure of steaming the tortillas before adding ingredients makes for a mushy and soggy shell for the fillings. I could go on, but you catch my drift. read more

We got two homewreckers (my standby, his first time ever even eating a burrito). Also got queso of course. The homewreckers were exactly as we ordered- not one issue.
