No bueno I was in the mood for a quesadilla so I happened upon Moe's. Once I walked in, I see a sign FREE CHIPS AND SALSA WITH EVERY ORDER. Sweet! I ordered a chicken quesadilla (nothing fancy). Chicken, cheese, tomatoes, beans. They asked me if I wanted guac to go. I love me some guac, so I said yes. I didn't order a drink and I was shocked my order came to $12. I was even more disappointed when I ate this at home. Stale chips, bad guac and a mediocre quesadilla. Folks...do yourself a favor and head over to Medford to Mexican Grill. For the same amount of money you get quality ingredients and an absolutely delicious meal. read more

I've had issues with Moe's being inconsistent in the past, but I decided to try it again. I got three tofu tacos (asked to leave out the creme and queso, and add mushrooms), and a homewrecker tofu burrito. I also asked for an additional side of guacamole. I received three tacos with nothing in them but tofu and about three mushrooms (see photo). They didn't include the standard shredded cabbage and pickled onions. The burrito had no guacamole, despite it being free, so I only got the extra side that a paid for. The fountain soda had a VERY intense chemical flavor - not like bad soda, more like cleaning chemicals - something I've never tasted in soda, before. Needless to say, I won't be returning. read more

Been ordering here for a couple of months and the food is usually good. Tonight's take out order was disgusting! Absolutely awful. The meals were all soggy and wet, looked a disheveled mess. Will not be returning to this particular location any time soon. Very disappointing to see a place go down hill. Pricey for what you get in terms of quality. I tried the pork nachos and the pork was flavorless, and other the ingredients were really nothing special either. It is nice that you can customize what you're getting with a lot of different ingredients though. Would maybe try this place again, but not very likely, and also not any time soon. read more

Merp. Moe's isn't comparable to TacoBell. I don't see how people keep comparing it to that. I would honestly compare it more to a SUBWAY, Just with Tex-Mex kick. Instead of sandwiches and soups, you get burritos and tacos and salads. I wouldn't say the food is awful. The steak tastes O-K. I'm not a fan of chicken so I haven't even tried. I always get a Steak salad Taco bowl (with the taco shell). I'll get sauteed onions and corn salsa, shredded cheese, then get the queso dripped on top. I've never left hungry. I've never left sick to my stomach. I've always left content. Moe's does the job. Plus they have that salsa bar, where you can fill a dixie cup with a bit of salsa to take on the go, or dine in. They always give you a huge bag of chips too, complimentary with your order By the way... that Queso they have there... is delicious. All in all, I wouldn't be so scared to take the visit there every once in a while. Its not half bad. YES the price might be more expensive then TacoBell but you're not getting fast food. How would you like to have food twice as expensive as Chipotle and half the quality? If that's you, Moe's is for you. The "homemade" guacamole here is a light green mixture that clearly indicates it probably contains less than 5% avocado. They only offer white rice for their meals, so if you prefer brown rice as a healthier alternative, you'll have to look elsewhere. read more

I have been to this location many times without an issue. I came here today, Sunday with the family since I was in the area. I'm not sure if it's because it's Sunday or because the manager wasn't here today but I was very dissatisfied with my food. First I was standing around for like 5 minutes before I was attended and they were rushing so much. I ordered a stacks and literally only put it on the grill for about 5 seconds as well as my kids quesadillas. They did not toast it well like they usually do, even the tortilla chips were not cooked well at all. Left here disappointed. read more

Wow. Started my review by reading all of the others and I can't believe that we've all been to the same place. Not as good as Taco Bell aka "Run for the bathroom"? Seriously? I've been to several Moe's locations and I come here very often for lunch (2x week, sometimes more) and have never had a bad experience. Yes, lines can be long sometimes but that's the luck of the draw with lunchtime crowds. Yes, the near constant "Welcome to Moe's" greetings are a bit much but that's part of their schtick. Where are the responses from management? And for the length of that line I am surprised there are not more reviews. The line was relentless for weeks someone had to like it. I think it has died down to normal now but I am surprised how many people dislike it. I will be very disappointed if they close. I walked into this establishment expecting positive things however that notion was swiftly shot down once i received my burrito which had a rip in it. The registers were down and the staff continued to take orders. There were about 12 people waiting for their food. There was no manager in duty and the staff offered no solutions. The employees called the manager and still couldn't figure out a solution. We left after about 30 mins and the workers wouldn't give anyone their orders and continued to take orders while everyone was waiting. A few Moe's have sprung up on the island lately so I gave the place a shot. This was my 2nd time here so it was good enough for me to come back and I find the food pretty good. I had the Earmuff Bowl the first time and the Burrito this time. Two observations: I believe the manager's name is Edwin. He kept the place loose with his "Welcome to Moe's" every couple of minutes, making the customers feel welcome and chatting up the folks on line. That said, the girl in the first station (name starts with a K) in the food line prep needs a refresher course. Watching her take the bowl/tortilla/plate and just slap the food on was almost like watching a prison movie. We're humans and we're paying for this dinner - yeah, it's not a high end restaurant but show a little class when preparing someone's dinner. First let me say I really do like Moe's but this one in Patchogue is just not good. Me and my boyfriend went there to get lunch and though my server was kind and polite, the food was horrible. Ordered two quesadillas to go. The portions they put in them we're so small. Sadly we got home started to eat and the tortilla shell was old, the edges were as hard as rocks. I personally love the queso served there but once we popped open the top to pour it. It came out in chunks but had nothing in them, it must've been old too. We had horrible queso, so disappointed. 23.98 went straight into the garbage. Tried to call to talk to speak to a manager but got the run around. Very disappointing I got to Moe's about 8:15 pm on a Sunday (the hours clearly say open until 9pm on the door) and the front door was already locked, the only reason I got in was because another customer came and unlocked the door to let me in. On line I heard another couple complaining that they came last week around 8:45 pm and all the doors were locked. Why have set hours of operation if your not going to follow them? Besides that the food was good - same thing as any other Moe's... But because they try and close early I won't be returning to this Moe's anymore. read more

I think everyone was counting down the days until moe's opened here in Patchogue. But wow what a disappointment. The prices were crazy and the meal was lackluster. I got steak nachos. It had little queso and the steak looked and tasted like something you get at tacobell. Compared to chipotle the burritos were very small. Place smelt like dirty bleach water. I waited about 5 minutes to place my order meanwhile their were 3 people behind the counter, the girl making the food was emptying a burrito into another wrap, she went to throw away the wrap. Didn't walk over to the garbage she threw it missing the garbage went over picked it up and didn't change her gloves afterwards. She looked so miserable on top of it. The place was flithy. Yes the prices are a bit much, yes the menus are hard to distinguish the differences in ingredients between dishes listed with fancy names, yes the good isn't as good as you'd think. But... Have to say the staff at this location was really great and fun! I wish I took note of the managers name last night when my husband and I busted. First time at this chain restaurant. The strangest thing is how all the employees yell out indiscriminately "welcome to Moe's ". I just wanted a quick texmex lunch and I found it annoying. I know this is a corporate gimmick but people just want lunch and it should be discontinued as im sure it's as annoying for the employees as it is for the customers. On a positive note i liked my "bowl". They call it "earmuffs". Another annoying gimmick. Anyway it was good except they could be a little more generous with the meat. And the queso was good too.
