I came to the Moe's in Riverhead with my boyfriend, and we both got burritos. We sat down to eat our burritos, and I felt something hard as I was chewing. I thought maybe it was a chicken bone, and I took out a big piece of bone, or so I thought. To my surprise, it was a huge piece of plastic. I spit out what else was in my mouth and shards of plastic was embedded in the rice. When I brought this to the assistant managers attention, he asked if I'd like anything else to eat. I said I didn't feel comfortable eating anything else from the establishment since I did not want to get sick. He said well then there's nothing for him to do besides maybe a $10 coupon. I said that was unacceptable. This is a huge problem and at best he could refund me and I don't even know where he refunded me because it didn't ever come up on my boyfriend's account. Went in today and the new employee was VERY skimpy with the toppings, he literally put 2 olives on my salad and I had to keep telling him to put more of everything I asked for. I scrambled at the last minute to find a place that would cater to a house out in Greenport, and Moe's was able to not only fulfill my order only a few days in advance, but was able to make the drive out to Greenport! Their catering department was easy to work with on the phone, and they were able to complete the order quickly and efficiently. The driver showed up right on time with the fajita bar package. Line is always long...well, when we go...which was 3 times. Seems as though the staff is constantly confused or stressed. Maybe they need more staff? The food is really good. No complaints about the food. One thing I was really grossed out by and was a huge turn-off for my husband and I was that one of the employees had his pants far enough down and his shirt lifted high enough where you could clearly see his underwear and behind sticking out. I know it's not uncommon to see everywhere, but it shouldn't be allowed at the workplace and while you're prepping food for customers. It's completely inappropriate. Food is decent. Tasted fresh and good variety. The problem is the service. I waited so long to be rung up that my hard tacos turned in to a moist wet mess. Very slow service and they seemed confused. Also I question their hygiene. I observed one employee using his cellphone while wearing his gloves. He then went back to the fryer and never changed his gloves. Unacceptable when handing ready to eat food. Then I saw they same employee cleaning the tables and straightening up the dining room still wearing the gloves. Didn't see if he changed them before preparing more food but I wouldn't count on it. read more

This place is filled with terrible people. I went and left my wallet for not even 5 minutes and went to go grab it. I asked the African American woman ho was working behind the counter if she saw my wallet. She said "yes I saw it not the seat and brung it straight to the back." All of a sudden I realized all of my money was gone. It was exactly 50$. 2 20$, a 5$ and 5 singles. It wasn't even 5 minutes and they even admitted that nobody else was involved and that they took it straight to the back. All of my money was gone and absolutely nobody would help me. They claimed that they couldn't view the cameras too. Moral of the story, please don't go to this location. They obviously don't care about they're customers and are scum. I've worked in customer service and food service for over 8 years and this is absolutely ridiculous. They were all super rude when I asked them to help me as well. I went here with one other person and when we got up to the counter where you can see all the bins of food, it was a mess! Rice all over the place, beans all over the place. For $12/pp, the customizable fajita bar is a great value and is delivered & set up with everything- I mean everything you need including paper products, cutlery, sternos & trays and they even bring the boiling hot water! Beyond 'value' the manager and staff are professional and courteous, the very food fresh and delicious. They always have smiles on their faces and are fun to chat with as they're preparing your food which, by the way, is always made perfect; and let's just say they never slack when it comes to toppings! (its a burrito, i have no idea why they named it that...) and its pretty decent.. i like the way its kinda like subway, where you can choose what you want on your order... i would give it 5 stars but i feel like the menu has to be broader... not only that but the variations of the food on the menu is the same exact thing, just different toppings and ingredients... what im saying is that basically it doesnt really matter which burrito you get on the menu since your asking for specific toppings anyway. So the burrito with pico on it is more money, but the joey bag if donuts is less money without pico, so you can literally just get a joey bag of donuts and ask for "pico" on it, and you will be paying less money for it then you would be the same exact thing on the menu with pico... its hard to describe but it doesnt matter what variatipn you order.... otherwise this place is good and they have an awesome custom soda machine read more
