The chicken was the oddest texture Ive ever experienced and made me feel sick almost immediately. I have no idea what that was but I doubt it was any sort of real chicken product. And when we asked for a refund they did not offer to fix the problem or take care to offer anything in return as most businesses try to do when youre not satisfied with their service. Instead they were just offended and silently gave us our refund slip. Bad food, bad service unfortunately. The only downside I had about it was the people that were cooking my quesadilla almost burnt it and one of the employees had to tell the cook to grab it off of the to grill and my loaded quesadilla was really messy, but I would come back to get a burrito but if you do get a quesadilla, just do not put too much stuff on it or else it'll be messy read more

"WELCOME TO MOE'SSSSSSS" Used to be my favorite part of coming here when I was younger! Such a good greeting upon walking in, even when it's a little bit staggered. I love how their menu hangs up on the wall in big print to making deciding between choices easier. The employees were kind and kept letting me know my food was coming right up while I waited off to the side. I ordered the "wrong Doug" and I was a little offended by the small amount of chicken put on there. It actually ended up tasting pretty good with an extra splash of queso once I got towards the center of it more. Could honestly bathe in that queso. On top of that, you always get a basically bag full of chips when you order it! Great "for now & later" type meal/snack. They always have a $5 deal on Monday's that's fairly popular. read more

I work nearby, so when there's inclement weather I'll walk here instead of to the chipotle, since it's closer. The food is decent, although the menu always baffles me with such eclectic names for their dishes. I ordered the quinoa bowl for lunch, and was underwhelmed by it! There were too many flavors, but it was still edible, luckily. After consuming the bowl, I logged the nutritional info and was shocked by how many calories and such were in it, since it's advertised as healthy. I could have just had a regular burrito bowl and saved in calories and points for the day. Everything is always clean in this location, so that is definitely a plus. There's always ample seating, and booths at that! You have to be careful about what you order, as not everything is delicious, but once you figure out what it id that you like, you're good to go! First off, I find the chicken to be bland. But my autistic kids like bland so there's that... Moes needs to get their heads out of their asses with regards to the realities of the current environment (IE: Covid-19) So I order online for pickup. Their menu is limited through the app, no fajitas, and my soda choices are coke, diet coke, and sprite. I drive into town, which is no problem, 20 minute wait, 20 minute drive, it kinda works out. I'll always prefer delivery, especially companies that have mastered the art of contact-free delivery, but so be it right? I pull in and boom, custom, painted curbisde takeaway spaces. AWESOME. I pull into one and pull up the app to let them know what space # I'm in. App: "Go inside to pick up your food" Well crap. Apparently those curbside spaces are for...Starbucks? So I put my mask on, and walk into the store. Order pickup is at the BACK of the store. Almost as far from the door as possible. There are people dining in and for some BIZARRE reason they've got all of the not-blocked tables RIGHT NEXT TO THE ORDER STATION AND DRINK MACHINE. Drinks are not made...not a total shocker since they're not doing curbside...so I have to make them. Did I mention that the only open tables were RIGHT NEXT to the drink machine? I mean LITERALLY right next to it. 4 people sitting at a table, masks off, within 3' of me making my drinks. Here's hoping the Virginia Department of Health is listening. (if they're not, I have their complaint form bookmarked and can just copy and paste this to it.) So I get my dinner for 4, my 4 drinks, and ask for a drink carrier. "Sorry, we don't have any" What the actual hell? I drive a truck, cup-holders for two. So in addition to being forced to be in VERY close proximity to stupid for way too long, I have to HOLD 2 sodas for the 20 minute drive home. Dear Moes. Sorry, I'm done. I'll come back when you get your head out of your ass and figure out how this whole CURBSIDE pickup works. Found out about Moe's while i was in Columbia, South Carolina. No locations near me in Locust Grove, VA. Worth the 1.5 hour total drive. 10/10 food and the salsa bar is awesome! They give you a pile of chips with every entree; which is great. Chipotle and Qdoba charge for chips and salsa. Clean store and friendly staff! read more

My wife and I took a vacation to Virginia and we ate at Moe's with our daughter & family. We bought a burrito with different ingredients and it was delicious. The chili sauce was mild and there was some hot sauce that my son in law ate. That was the closest you can get to Chipotle here in California. If we every go back to Virginia I will be sure to stop at Moe's again. Thank you for the great food. read more

Decent healthy fast food. You don't feel gross after eating it. Their steak is tough. I can tell the don't marinate it long enough. It also very bland. They also don't grill it at a hot enough temperature. I would guess it's grilled at about 275 rather than 400 degrees. This prevents it from having a browned off exterior the way burrito steak should be browned off with. read more

We stopped in for lunch on a busy weekday. They seem to do a lot of business during the week for lunch. Service was quick and we were able to find a seat. We got salads and everything was just OK with the salad,except that the lettuce was slightly red around the edges and not as fresh as it should be. (BTW - We've found this same problem at other Moe's, they REALLY need to learn about fresh lettuce!) The restroom and dining room were clean and orderly as well. Nothing special, but it was good. I didn't join Yelp to write reviews for chain restaurants, but this place deserves a higher rating dammit! This is my Moe's. There are many like it, but this one is mine. This is the best Moe's. I've been to other Moe's and they made me feel awkward. I went to this really WASPy one in Richmond and the wealthy white ladies in front of me were speaking to the workers like they were garbage. I've been all the big burrito chains, Chipotle, Qdoba, and many local places as well and Moe's is the only burrito joint out of all of them that serves FRESH jalapenos. They are so much tastier than the pickled ones! I don't understand why there's all the bad reviews for this place. On my visit, the person making the burritos was VERY friendly and took her time to walk me through the process. Moe's structures their menus a little differently than the other places. They charge you based on whether or not you want sour cream, guacamole, or both. And they use little nicknames for the burritos. I ordered the Homewrecker, which you get the choice of guacamole or sour cream. I chose rice, black beans, chicken, cheese, the hot and corn salsa, guacamole, and cilantro (there's a ton of other toppings to dress your burrito with as well). Yum! I could go for another burrito right now. All burritos also come with chips and use of the salsa bar. The salsa bar has 4 different salsas, although none of them really amaze me. All in all, I found the food similarly-priced and similarly-tasting to the other burrito chains. But this one is closer! So I will definitely return! read more

The way to go at Moe's.... Order a bowl of Queso. A bowl of pico. Chopped jalopens, which is optional. Make sure to ask for an extra bowl so you can mix everything together. This feeds three hungry people :) And it's delicious. The white queso is the best I've had. If you're going borrito style, go with a Joey. The staff is cheap with the portions and you have to ask for additional for each topping. If you're not getting the queso here, do yourself a favor and go to Chipotle. read more

When I discovered a dead fly in my lettuce I called jimmy and he informed me that I had to return the food with the receipt. I told him I threw the food away and he insisted that without the food and the receipt he couldn't refund my money. I dug the food out of the trash along with the fly and took the food, fly and receipt back to MOs for a refund. I'm a reasonable person and understand that these sort of things happen. However, when you require me to bring the food, fly, and receipt in order to refund my money, I think that deserves some recognition. This post could have been avoided but I'll play by your rules. Since we were there, we ordered. I ordered the menu burrito called Joey Bag of Donuts. How suitable for me since that's my name. LOL. Pretty much, the burrito wasn't really what was on the menu. You go up to the burrito making booth, and they ask you what you want. Unsure, but it's like saying, Burrito and getting it the way you want it. So, the menu doesn't even matter. I got a tortilla steamed and then they asked what I wanted on it. I got shredded chicken, CHEESE, rice and lettuce. The maker seemed like he was having problems rolling the burrito, mainly because it was so thick and girthy, but not long. Star for the girth, and star for the ... i don't know. I love this restaurant! It is not a full service restaurant; it is sort of like a subway for Mexican food! Mondays are especially good because they are $6.49 for any burrito on Monday.
