Simpsons fans, this is for you! You have to get a Duff beer. It was a pretty warm day and we needed to def cool off for a bit. I loved that right as I walked in, it felt like Homer was about to just walk in through the doors at any moment. The bar looks just like the cartoons! The colors are bright, things are not scuffed or peeling, I was happy to see that the bar was well cared for. The beer is cold and refreshing and you can get a souvenir cup to take home too! We sat at the bar and although it wasnt too busy, it did take a bit to get our one beer order in. Not much of a convo which was ok and he was kind enough to not be in some of our photos. Much like the Tardis, this place is bigger on the inside... because it's actually a giant collection of places. This is one of the entrances into that collection, themed like the bar from the show. You can sit here and eat or sit at the bar and drink some booze from the show. The local brewery they get their alcohol from actually make their own trademarked beer named after the beer from the show. The "store" next door is actually the exit for this collection of shops all from or based on the show: Luigi's (pizza), Flaming Moe's (drinks), Lisa's Teahouse of Horror (vegetarian options), Krusty Burger, Cletus' Chicken Shack, and the Frying Dutchman (seafood). You can choose to eat in the cafeteria-style eating area or Moe's Tavern. I was really impressed and had a lot of fun coming in here. The different rooms have different episodes of the Simpson's playing and all the decor shows the usual attention to detail you would expect from Universal Studios. It felt like we were in the show, itself. I loved it and I love coming here to eat so much we came back multiple times. There's a section in the back that is detailed as Flaming Moe's but as it doesn't have its own page I assume it's considered to be under this Moe's Tavern page. They sell both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The actual Flaming Moe drink is nonalcoholic and comes in a plastic cup you get to keep. Stickers connect the bottom to the top and that is how you're able to safely drink the drink without concerns for what makes it flame. Moe's Tavern is connected to a quick-service dining area that has all sorts of food options. The Tavern itself is somewhat separate, but serves as a seating area for the quick service restaurant. It does have a bar where you can get Duff Beer or a Flaming Moe (Orange Soda in a special cup that has dry ice trapped inside to make it bubble and "smoke"). There is a lot to be said about this place. Unless you have been here to enjoy it then you are missing out. I do have to say that it is the happiest place in the world. If you want to spend money that is. As the ticket prices rise as does everything else. To be able to see things like this here make me happy. It brings back a sort of nostalgia. Moe's Tavern is located next to the Simpsons Fast Food Blvd. We ordered some food and drinks from the Fast Food Blvd, but we decided NOT to sit at the large seating area right by these fast food shops. Instead, we walked right next door (connected to this area) over to Moe's. At the main entrance from the outside, Barney welcomes you with a huge mug that is almost empty. They have a bar, and yes, you can get Duff Beer! It seemed like they have a very small food menu here at well, serving salad, wrap, fruit cup, etc. If you want a real food, you need to walk over to the Fast Food Blvd through the connected wall opening. I love the decor in this space, it is really fun and well designed to match the Moe's from the Simpsons show. I would recommend you to sit here rather than the large dining room in the Fast Food Blvd to get the whole Simpsons atmosphere! read more

Entering Moe's, there is a large version of Barney with Duff beer. There is very welcoming vibe. In some theme park food areas, it is not done a 100% authentic but Moe's Tavern looks very accurate to the tv show tavern. For ordering food, there is a large food cafeteria space which is connected to the subdivided Moe's Tavern location. This large are is called Simpsons Fast Food Blvd where you will have to first enter one large line. After you enter food cafeteria space, the different Simpson vendors have their own individual line for Krusty Burger or others. After seeing many Simpson's episode, I was interested in getting a real flaming Moe. The Moe's sign says that "Happiness is just a Flaming Moe away." The Flaming Moe is $8.99. It has orange soda with dry ice inside a specially designed cup. The dry icy creates the effect of the drink for about 5 minutes so please be prepared for the show. We ordered from Krusty Burger, Cluetus's Chicken Shack, and Flaming Moes. From Krusty Burger, we order a Krusty Burger for $10.49. It is a 1/3 pound with a normal size tomato. It is a burger. It is a crappy but it did fill me up. At Cleutus Chicken Shack., we shared the Chicken & Waffle Sandwich for $11.19. This is served with maple syrup which compliments the chicken nicely. The waffles are nothing special but it was filling overall. After you ordered your food, there is one main check line. It is a theme park so you go from line to line to line. I would suggest sitting in Moe's Tavern over the other spaces with the Simpson's Fast Food Blvd because Moe's is very well done overall as stated earlier. We did snag a booth which was very comfortable. There are alcoholic offerings which were definitely popular. We also say the large pink donut which we did not get after being filled up on burgers and chicken. Overall, I was happy with my experience. If you would really like some more quality food, I would head over to the Leaky Cauldron in the Harry Potter world. The Simpsons food was kind of crappy but this is the only food place where I could say bad food is consistent with the theme. read more

One group of friends had left Orlando and my next group wasn't coming until the next day. I had time to kill and what better way then to hang out at Universal Studios in Moe's Tavern!? People would come and go from the bar and there I'd sit. Advising them which of the Duff's brews were best (Oktoberfest if it's in season!) and that the Flaming Moe had no liquor in it. Then when my friends came in the next day, with one of the guys being a big Simpsons fan, we had to spend our due time at Moe's as well. Here's my round-up... Duff Oktoberfest - best of the bunch. Of course seasonal but it's so much better than their standards! Get it if it's on the docket.It is more pricey than the others though! $9.05 for 20 ounces. Duff Dry - Best of their standard brews but what sucks is you can't get it on draft at Moe's. You have to go into the Simpsons food court and get it in a bottle at the Duff Brewery stand in there for $7.77. It tastes like an actual craft beer though unlike the regular Duffs. Duff - This tasted like a basic type craft beer to me. A bit better than Bud but not quite as good as craft beers I'm accustomed to. Duff Lite - Both this and Duff can be had on tap or in a can. Duff Lite is on par with Miller Lite. Yep...I spent a lot of time here. And you know what? No regrets. We walked around for quite awhile trying to decide on what we wanted to eat. We were walking by here and saw people taking pics of the place, so we decided to give it a try. I opted for a cheeseburger with tatertots, my husband got pulled pork, my son and daughter got clam chowder. Of course everything was done by the phone. We ordered drinks from another location because the kids wanted slushees...well, the food arrived here and my husband asks for 4 cups of water. Can you believe the guy literally rolled his eyes at us and said "How many?!" We tell him 4 - and he stormed off like we just asked him for something so awful! It took him about 15 minutes to bring the waters and my son was so scared to drink it because he was worried he did something to them, so he wouldn't drink it. You know it's bad when a child notices the behavior. Absolutely uncalled for. They need to hire other people if this man hates his job so badly. The food was the worst. The cheeseburger was cardboard, with kind of like a cheese whiz on it, my kids soup was sooo small, I think they got 4 bites out of it, and the pulled pork had zero flavor. Just awful. Terrible. Top 2 worst meals i've ever paid for. Chicken and waffle meal is literally two barely toasted egos with a soggy chicken strip. Their mayo glaze was wretched. The kids hamburger was clearly frozen, soggy curly fries, and flavorless frozen pizza. I honestly can't believe they serve this food and charge a premium for it. Maybe the most annoying part was the long lines and wait time. There was only one line for all 3 of the different food vendors. And even then, there was no other better organization to separate each food vendor line. The lines eventually mixed together and when you thought you were in line for the fried chicken, you're really in the line for pizza. I saw sign for "mobile orders". Maybe check that out first before getting in these lines. At least for me, mobile orders at Disney world was the best option and worked instantly. Total let down. First. The way you have to grab your food in a cluster of people on a hot day is the worst. There's no order to anything and it's chaos. Once you get your food you have to go to a different mob of people to get drinks. It makes no sense.
