Ordered a mix of Indo-Chinese and Mughlai selections from Moghul Express for a dinner and movie night with our friends. The food was finger-lickin' good. For Indo-Chinese (*see post-script notes for some trivia), we recommend the Veg/Chicken Coriander soups, the Gobi Manchurian (Dry), Drums of Heaven, Chicken Black Pepper, Hakka Chilli Chicken, any of the Fried Rice or Noodle selections. For Mughlai selections, Chicken Saag (ordered Extra Spicy), Methi Malai Mutter, Daal Makhani, Lacha Paratha, Garlic Naan and Roti are standouts. Our friends said that the food is consistently good. 5-stars for the takeout meal that we had from this mainstream Indian/Indo-Chinese restaurant. *Indo-Chinese food blends Hakka cooking techniques and flavors influenced by the South-East Asian palate. Around the late 18th century, migrant workers opened up restaurants that catered to the tastes of locals. Most of the dishes have amped up pungent flavors from Ginger/Garlic/Onion/Scallions/Black Pepper or a combination thereof. I got hooked on this place after a recommendation from a friend. My fav is the Thai Chicken Green Curry. Delicious! I always get extra garlic naan to dip in the sauce. I also love the Manchurian Fried Rice. Everyone who works there is so friendly! This place is great to enjoy a casual meal, and it's quickly become our go to place for take-out. Terrible taste of the food. I was so disappointed in the food quality. The Vada Pav was soggy, and the potato vada had a foul smell. We garbaged All Vada Pav. Baingan Bharta did not even taste like it. Chole Masala was horrible tasting. Onion Aloo Kulcha was most well made and you could taste the raw masala. Bundi Raita was frozen and delivered straight out of refrigerator - how can one eat like this? Mogul Should be serving Punjabi Food well given that is their specialty or so. I am regular customer and a fan of Moghul Express Restaurant. Initially they had one restaurant that was located in Oak Tree Rd in Edison. The 40 minute drive to that restaurant was worth it. However, once they opened up another Moghul Express in Kendall park location 4 months ago, it was convenient and just perfect for the location. The food is consistently delicious and customer service of superb here. Everything in the menu is worth trying including their green mango juice. Room to improve. Popped in to try out the eats...got a tandoori wrap and it was ok!was hoping for something on the spicy side, but was a 3 (out of 10)in terms of heat. It was wrapped with red and yellow peppers and served with red onion slices. Staff were eager to please, while I figured out my order and while I waited for take out. However,the mgr who was directly standing at the front counter,an arms length away; remained on the phone the entire time I was there didn't attempt to help w/ordering or questions I had. I literally yelled to the back when inquiring about different menu items,and the cook had to come to the front to place the order. Great Indo-chinese food and they also have other Indian Street food, and some desserts. They sell paan on the counter, a kinda mouth freshener with Beatle leaf. Punjabi or North Indian food is okay. It's a fast food joint, so decor and ambience is alright, however, they still have good service and it's quick turnaround time in most instances. Great place for a quick lunch and cheap eats. We got a plain dosa and Masala dosa. The dosas came out crispy. The sambhar had visible veggies but lacked flavor and spice. The coconut chutney tasted fresh and was surprisingly sweet. There was another chutney served as well which tasted a bit like tomato salsa. We got the pani puri and a pineapple pastry as well. The pineapple pastry was moist and tasted fresh. The plus side of this place is that they serve the dishes on proper ceramic/steel plates with cutlery unlike other similar fast food style Indian restaurants in the area. read more

Came here for lunch on Sunday. We had mainly their indo-chinese selections. The gobi manchurian was delicious. The outside was nice and crispy, but it was not too thick. We then shared the lamb chilli, chicken and broccoli, and hakka noodles. The lamb chilli had a lot of flavor and some heat. The lamb was I believe fried first. The chicken and broccoli is great for people who do not like spice. Finally, the hakka noodles were simple yet flavorful. Overall, a great place to grab some indo chinese food. I've just recently eliminated all meat from my diet so I'm constantly searching for a restaurant with a variety of options. When I walked into Moghul to scan the menu I was not disappointed.
