I've tried Moi at a few off site events and the food was always delicious, especially at the latest Asian Night Festival. Based off this, it was good opportunity to try their actual restaurant. The BYO concept is unique for vermicelli bowls and banh mi, which adds to the fun and personalization. I would say, the food was good, but not up to par to previous experiences. I think it had to do with the meat being kept warm rather than hot off the grill. I guess I would prefer my food being hot rather than warm overall. I was also looking forward to having their pandan waffles again as we had it at the festival but I didn't see it on their menu. Maybe a good idea to add it on as a dessert option? Currently, this spot has a special place in my heart. Why? Fresh ingredients, great service, a quick and simple ordering concept, and excellent food. If I had the chance to be a franchisee of this spot in another major city, this is one of the VERY few places I would choose to do it with. I've been here several times and I'll share my experiences. Location: Located uphill on a lot around Dessau Road in Pflugerville across from the HEB. Right next to this joint is a Papa Murphy's. It is really not hard to miss but if you are heading South on Dessau, there is a turning lane around the median past FM1825 that guides you into the lot. It can be missed if you don't pay attention. Exterior/Interior: Not the biggest space from what appears inside and outside. Inside is modernized. Brand new furniture and kitchen makes up the space. Seating area can seat several families without much issue. They also have areas to dine around outside too. Tip: Summer and Spring have mosquitoes coming and they will come for you here! These guys also wear a simple uniform of black attire. Menu: The menu is simply an ordering process. You pick your protein, you pick your greens and carbs, and you pick your toppings. They have things from grilled chicken, beef, and pork to fresh veggies to choose from. As simple as the menu is here for ordering food, you have the ability to customize your dishes the way you want. I enjoy going double protein with zuccini noodles and several toppings like the shallots or the shredded dry pork. Food: Fresh. I have nothing more to really say about that. The meats are marinated well. Freshly cooked rice. Great toppings. They bake their own bread. Service: Excellent service. Met the owner on several occasions and enjoyed conversing with him. Staff is great. They took care of me everytime. Value: The food matches the cost. Bánh mì can seem a bit pricier for what there is out there in the market in my opinion, but with what you are getting, it is well worth the cost too. All in all, definitely a place to try out. Healthy food that tastes fresh. You feel good after eating here. You can bring your family here or come by yourself. No matter what it is, this spot is a major go in my books. The interior design is so inviting! Very clean and modern vibe. I love the orchids throughout the place. The way you order is similar to a chipotle/subway setup where you can choose and pick your protein and veggies. I chose the banh mi with grilled pork. Very tasty and filling! Awesome fresh food!! As others have mentioned, the line up is Chipotle style. We went at dinner time and they were replacing almost every pan with fresh food consichicken straight off the grill, noodles, veggies, etc.). My husband got the bun with the fried egg that did not disappoint, his only concern was there was no fried pork to go on top (however they do offer shredded pork). I got the chicken bun with zoodles and all the veggies and tasted great! The sauces are delicate yet flavorful. The atmosphere is really chill and our little one had a blast with the zoodles, noodles and the egg roll was a favorite by all. We tried the green tea with honey and was also really light and perfect accompaniment to our dishes. The staff was very friendly and helpful when explaining what Moi offered. The restaurant was clean and we thought the pricing was fair for what you received. Overall, I'd highly recommend checking out this place. Update : we love Moi. $5 banh mi Tuesday's are the way to go. I think the cilantro mayo should come standard. It's so tasty and amplifies the taste of the meat and veggies. Read great reviews of this place and hubby and me decided to give it a try. We ordered a banh mi sandwich and a vermicelli beef bowl to be eaten at the restaurant for lunch. I was disappointed that they served In styrofoam boxes even though it was not to go.i see previous pictures of nice bowls. The food was ok. Pricy for the taste . The sandwich was dry. The pre pacaked sauce was little and the whole entree fell dry. The veges were not pickled as per the Vietnamese cuisine. Banh mi bread was huge though. Tried this place at the Austin Asian Eats Night Market this weekend and loved what I got (pandan waffles and rice with chicken, all the toppings they offered at the market, and spicy mayo). I actually came to their food stall twice it was so good!! The pandan waffles were so good and fluffy. I hope they have or bring them onto their regular menu because they were the best pandan waffles I've ever had. The chicken had so much flavor, like a viet bbq flavor, and was fresh off of the grill. Their regular location is a bit of a drive for me, but the food was so good I think it might be worth it. I used to love this place and haven't eaten there in a while. I got it to-go and the service was good. However, I ordered the rice bowl with tofu and it tastes VERY different than in the past...and not in a good way. The marinade on the tofu was bitter and borderline tasted rotten. My family and I have enjoyed going to Moi Vietnamese Grill in the past as they were spot on with our orders. Today, I was underwhelmed with the 3 banh mi sandwiches I picked up. My order came back incorrect (ordered 2 beef and 1 pork, and came home with 3 beefs. My mom was disappointed as she was looking forward to her pork sandwich). The meat was cold when I came home, I live about 5 minutes away from the restaurant. I ordered the sandwiches with toppings, but there were no jalapenos on all three, when it has always been included in the past. Maybe it was an off day for the staff? I've had good experiences in the past, last time I visited was around November 2021. I would hate for other customers to experience this moving forward. read more

Finally got to try this yesterday. I got the grilled pork bahn mi and egg rolls. The egg rolls were exactly what I want in an egg roll. For the sandwich the bread is the right combo of soft and crunchy, the meat was flavorful and the veggies crisp and fresh. So I am excited to have this in the neighborhood.
