Typically this place is great but the past few times I've been the service was awful. I just went in the middle of the week (it was not busy) and was only asked if our table needed anything after we were all finished. Sadly, my order was incorrect and was unable to gain anyone's attention to get it fixed. It was a table of 4 and all of our drinks were empty and it was obvious my plate was untouched. The server was clueless and didn't seem to care what was going on. I never got a correct meal and will not be coming back. read more

I spent $30 here and regret every penny. The refried beans tasted like there were directly out of a can. No seasoning no flavor almost resembling dog food. We walked in and were promptly seated. About 5 minutes went by before anyone came to get a drink order. Ordered two waters. They were quickly brought to the table. Requested a drink menu. Promptly got a drink menu. Didn't see our server again for about 7 minutes. He finished with a table and walked right past us. I got his attention. He took my drink order and I asked to go ahead and order our dinner. Took our order. Food came. Drink finally came mid meal. Food was very good and exactly what we ordered. My husband and I visited Mojito's for the first time today and we really enjoyed it. The lunch menu is very reasonable in pricing and both our meals were very tasty. I come here for the cheese dip, it's some of the best in NWA. The food, however; is nothing special. Once seated, it can take anywhere from 15-30 minutes to get drinks ordered, another 10-15 minutes to actually get them, and then another 10 minutes to find someone to take your order. I've been to Mojitos 6 times since they opened, and they always have 3-4 people at the host stand but no servers? The girl that gets chips and salsa for everyone has tracked servers down on several occasions, but there has to be a better system than that! There's also always a new staff member to be trained, so turnover must be pretty high. Unfortunately, the last two times our family has gone, the food has been cold, and not always to order. The room itself is dark, with TVs all over the bar area. It's one of the least atmosphered restaurants I've been to. I second the previous review about menus with different prices. I know that some places do have different lunch/dinner prices, but we both had dinner menus and most of the prices were 3-4 more on my husband's menu. Sure enough, when we went to pay, we were charged the higher price. We won't be returning. read more

Our party of four had a less than stellar experience this evening at Mojitos. When we were seated we were taken to a dirty table, when my wife brought this to the attention of the host, we went on a walk with him to find a table that had been cleaned, not a good sign. Service was good, our waiter was very polite and friendly. We ordered a large guacamole that never came, we had to remind the server from the kitchen that brought us our food that we had not received it yet. I ordered the vegetarian fajitas. Do not, my friends, order the vegetarian fajitas. I thought I would get some onions and peppers that had been fried along with my fajitas fixings. Instead I received a fajita plate with broccoli, carrots and cauliflower that had been lightly steamed. This is not what I had pictured, and I was very disappointed. The other dishes served were sloppily put together, and the others in my party felt that they were very bland and not seasoned or prepared like they remembered from previous visits. Just remember, unless you are just in the mood to put broccoli in a tortilla shell, do not order the vegetarian fajitas. read more

Nice atmosphere and attentive service, but they have a long way to go in meal and drink quality. Stopped by for lunch and the crispy taco was bland, and only had meat and lettuce - no tomato nor cheese; the enchilada was equally bland; and the frozen margarita was pitiful. I slugged mine down but the wife had to turn her's down. They have a looong way to go to be able to compete with Chuy's. I rate two stars only because of atmosphere, service, and the rice was okay. read more

Not a good experience at all. Probably the worst service I've had at a restaurant. Took a good 15-20 minutes for our server to even come to take our drink orders after being seated he was being flirtatious and all around strange. We were seated quickly on Father's Day. The menu's are HUGE, meaning heavy and thick and tall. There was no room on the table for the chips and salsa because the menu's were so big. We ordered two margarita's and a coke. After waiting 10-15 min and still no drinks we had to ask a server for some water while we waited. When the waiter took our order, my husband and I ordered the "Make your Own Combo." They give you a choice of two or three at two separate prices. Then there is a small list of items to choose from. My husband chose the two enchiladas and 1 tamale no beans and I ordered two enchiladas, no beans. After a long wait the plates arrived with taco's beans and my order was missing and my daughter's was missing the cheese. They did not deliver the onions, the Guacamole nor the flour tortillas and butter. The waiter came back and tried to tell us we could not order the two enchilada's and the tamale without all the other stuff. My husband had to ask him to bring a menu and we showed him in the menu where you can pick one each of three items from the list. He argued that he couldn't order the enchiladas and the tamale. We asked for the manager who came and took our order as we wanted. The food had already arrived before for my daughter and was getting cold so we flagged down a busboy and asked for some cheese. Our food arrived and they still forgot the flour tortillas and the butter. After one taste I thought - Wow, this came frozen or from a can. It was dreadful!!! The house sauce was told to us that it was chili sauce but tasted like tomato soup from a can with no seasoning. The cheese inside the enchilada's was some white Confresco with no flavor at all. Even the Spanish rice had no seasoning at all. I couldn't eat another bite - my husband's food was just as awful. We love Mexican food, but this restaurant should not be able to say they serve this ethnic delicacy. Don't waste your money on this place. We won't stray from Abuelo's again. read more

The food was okay. There are a couple of other dishes that I do want to try but may do that in Fayetteville instead. The service was lousy. Our waiter bordered on rude. He luckily did come by to take our glass out from under our nose by reaching across the table without asking to refill it...but we did get a refill. He never asked if we needed anything else, like dessert for instance. I was looking forward to the deep fried ice cream but since he didn't ask, I opted not to order it anyway. We did notice that our neighboring customers got alot better and friendlier service that we did. Maybe the nationality had something to do with it, I don't know. My wife and I ate at Mojitos, for the first time, tonight and we were not impressed in the least. While the chips and salsa were pretty good, that's where it stopped. When our food arrived my first thought was that it looked like cafeteria food. After my first few bites, that opinion hadn't changed. The food was mostly bland and what flavors there were tasted off. We both love fish taco and that's what my wife ordered. The fish was mushy and the flavors were not good at all. I'm from Southern California so I have eaten more than my fair share of fish tacos and these were some if the worst i have had. They come standard with flour tortillas, which maybe should have tipped me off, as fish tacos need to be on corn. They told us they could substitute corn, so that's what she did., My Razorback enchiladas had pork over cheese enchiladas with some funky red BBQ sauce that was bland and had a odd flavor. The guacamole tasted like there had not been an avocado in the same room with it. Even the Coke I had was watered down, Needless to say, we won't be going back. If you want great fish tacos in the area try Green House Grill in Fayetteville. Green House Grill's fish tacos are a tasty take on this classic and probably the best I've had anywhere. read more
