This must be a bottom feeders heaven. The food is tasteless, fries are uninspiring, and the price is average. 3 hours later and I'm still burping on those nasty onion rings. Be warned!! The ambience: As soon as you enter, there's an awful smell of oil that hangs over this place like its a factory of fried foods. I guess it's because of the poor ventilation of the place, but the air probably has nowhere to go. The burgers: Nothing is fresh here. Maybe the lettuce, but I didn't have any of that. The onion rings and fries are definitely frozen, you are better off at a cheaper fast food place. At least it's cheaper elsewhere. In fact this is their idea of fresh. This is the exact conversation between my wife and the owner, after we examined our order: Wife: These are pickled jalapeños. Don't you have fresh ones? Owner: These ARE fresh. We picked them right off the can. Wife: That means they are pickled. Owner: oh I didn't know that. I'm sure some reviewers think this place is something from heaven. Ok, basic fast food place. a bit on the dirty side, the interior was gutted when they took over after the third ff joint folded. It still looks vacant on the inside, not much for decor, but if the foods good, who cares, right? Well, Ive eaten here a few times with my three children 2, 5, and 15. the burgers and fries are basic, but when I was stupid enough to order the Tilapia burger, I was in for a painful reminder of such places who should stick with basic burgers and fries when they focus on hiring kids to do the cooking/preparing of food. I got a nasty case of FOOD POISONING that made me sick for approx 24-48hrs. (GOOD GD thing my little ones didnt get poisoned, or youd all be looking at a pile of ashes on that corner... come to think of it, maybe we'd all benefit better from that?) I have no doubt it was this place, so I called and had a fairly pleasant conversation with the owner who had promised to call me back, yet I had to call a few times and catch him IN. He relayed his faith that I was not faking it like so many do, and "AGAIN promised" ...me a free meal coupon and told me he would mail it to me. I even communicated to him how these things happen, and that I was not really mad, I just wanted him to make sure his cooks understand the proper food handling necessary for different types of foods such as fish etc so this doesnt happen again, cuz I wouldnt want this to have an adverse effect on his business etc etc etc. It would be nice to have a little eating place close to home thats worthy of weekend visits and such. So I gave him my address and to this day a year later I still havnt received it. Come to think of it, the prick never even apologized for his place poisoning me. Well as you guessed it, I havnt returned nor ever plan to. So take your chances and stick to the basics here, but IMO, the "attitude" of the owner(s) of businesses will always reflect the quality of products and services that customers receive, and when it comes to food I put into my body, I'm not taking any more chances than I need to, especially these days. I havnt been back to this area in a while, but if this place is still there maybe I'll stop in to see if the owners around for a chat. read more

Stopped by for a quick lunch and we were delighted by the food! Fresh, hot and tasty! The crispy fries were AMAZING! The teriyaki chicken sandwich was cooked perfectly and nicely flavored with sauce and pineapple and the fish sandwich was great, too. Even the shake was yummy - next time we will definitely get another. Other yelpers mention the decor is a little plain, but I would choose great food over fancy decorations any day. We plan to make this a regular stop whenever we are in the neighborhood. read more

I live less than 2 blocks from Mojo on Foxworthy Ave. and I rate their food as good and their service as good and we go there fairly regularly but it is more so out of convenience. On the other hand, no restaurant in Santa Clara County comes close to St. John's. St. Johns in Sunnyvale is without exception: "The best burgers in town." I've been going to St. Johns for over 20 years and although the menu has changed slightly (they have stuff for kids now as well), they've been the same outstanding burger joint for years and years. read more

I've been going to Mojos since I moved to the neighborhood 9mos.ago!!!! Yesterday I went in and ordered a combo 12.04. Came home and realized the girl had forgotten to give me my soda cup. I was Just going through the reviews of some of my favorite places and was shocked to see some low reviews for Mojo burgers! i have been dinning at Mojo for years and will continue to do so. I am appalled by the comments of frozen fries and frozen meat! THIS IS NOT TRUE! I have made relationships with the owners and i am not being biased when i tell you that everything about Mojo is real and genuine. The staff are always smiling, they seem to enjoy their jobs. Lets face fact's is almost impossible to keep a place of business that serves food clean 100% of the time, i have noticed that when things calm down and the staff has time they indeed clean! I don't write many reviews but I do read a lot, and when i scrolled upon these reviews i was completely thrown aback by the misinformation people are writing. A nice homey InN Out style burger and good fries. All fresh cooked. My chocolate shake was also good. I like that the beef is grass fed and the shakes are made from Strauss Creamery dairy ice cream. This review is from a person who is VERY specific about where her meat comes from. I'd rather not eat meat if it's not from animals that are not treated well. We were at Zanottos and I saw the sign - Grass Fed beef and Free Range chicken. My boyfriend had a burger craving so I thought this would be a place we could both eat and maybe a new favorite! When we walked in, ya, it smelled like a Dairy Queen or something, but I had high hopes. He ordered the bacon burger and I just wanted a taste so I ordered chicken nuggets. I honestly thought they would be real chicken nuggets. They were not. They were the foamy, perfectly round bits that don't look like meat in any way. I was going to suck it up and not say anything but the fries were not great either, and I was hungry. I took my nuggets to the counter and stated my case "I thought these would be made of real chicken". The older woman debated the point and let me know they were all natural from Tyson, but the super nice younger woman overheard and offered me something else. I asked for a milkshake and she kindly made it for me. She did say that the chicken sandwich was real chicken meat. I guess the nuggets are just for kids. Boyfriends burger was just "ok", and was definitely not made fresh, as I guess I assume when I see signs like they had. We moved outside because it was pretty smoky from the open kitchen. If you're not as picky as me, please eat here and support the happy animal movement. I'll spend a little more like I should have in the first place. read more

Ok, to be fair, let's just get it out there that for all intents and purposes, I am a vegetarian, so reviewing a burger joint is a bit unfair in the first place. Still, I work near by, and the place is frequented by my co-workers, so I usually tag along. The veggie burger is nothing to write home about, but it will do (plus, it's really the only option). The patty is not too flavorful, but they do let you add grilled mushrooms and onions for free, which helps. Sweet potato fries are better than the regular fries, but I'd love some more interesting dipping sauces. The best thing on the menu are the organic shakes. I have never understood why shakes are as pricey as they are, but at least I feel a little better about the $4+ knowing it's organic. Seriously, the place is overpriced, but maybe their burgers are worth it (though my co-workers tell em they are just average). If you need a cute little burger spot, it beats the hell out of "fast food" joints, but don't put your money here for most earth shattering burger experience of the year, and certainly not a treasure for veggies..... I really love hamburgers and don't consider myself that picky when it comes to them, but I was disappointed by Mojo Burger. I got a mushroom swiss burger with grilled onions, and it did not impress me. The cheese was not melted, the grilled onions were just their raw, diced red onions thrown on the grill, but not caramelized. I couldn't even taste the beef. Is that characteristic of grass-fed beef? To be tasteless? And even though the burger already had mayo and ketchup on it, I couldn't taste any of it, and had to use two more ketchup packets to add flavor to the blandness. Mostly, I tasted smokiness that made me feel like I was eating a Burger King Whopper. I don't want to be reminded of a Whopper when I paid $6.50 for a fancy hamburger. And the bun was just like your typical fastfood bun: squishy white bread. Totally nothing special here. Go to Smashburger instead if you're going to get a pricey burger. read more

We have now been here at least 5 times. Every time our order has been perfect, and the three call ins we have made have been without fail. They always repeat your order online so you know what you've ordered, and there are no mistakes. We've also eaten in, and everything is cooked to order. A great place if you want some variety. We recently tried both Mojo Burger and Five Guys for the first time. No contest choosing between the two.
